Catia and Andrea's house was perfect! Everything was super clean, there was everything you need to cook, I could wash clothes, the whole time I felt right at home. The location is stunning, with a huge private courtyard with a view of the mountains and the sound of the river. There are walking trails nearby and only 30-60 minutes by car, there are multiple mountains to hike up if that's your thing. I recommend Monte Amaro (difficult) and Monte Mileto (moderate). Above all, Catia and Andrea were two of the nicest hosts I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Catia was extremely communicative before my arrival and when I told her what time I would arrive, her and Andrea suggested to meet them at a bar near the airbnb. Of course I accepted and I was met with beautiful hospitality, they bought me two beers and let me practice my Italian with them. And to top it off, they personally escorted me to show me the airbnb, and they also left some beer and two bottles of wine. Best experience yet!

I can't say enough about the house or the hospitality! Kevin's family made sure we were taken care of. They even helped us locate family in the area and that lead to finding the house where my father was born. I was able to be in touch with my family history which was the reason for my visit. They assisted with transportation and helped us greatly.

The Baita nel Bosco is simply enchanting. Located in the upper part of the village in a secluded position, surrounded on 3 sides by the woods and overlooking the valley from which you can admire the sunset, enjoy the silence and spot the fireflies when it gets dark! The town of Caramanico is less than a 10-minute walk away and is therefore very convenient even if you want to reach the center of the town. The location is strategic for visiting almost every corner of that paradise called Majella and, right outside the house, there is the Orfento valley, one of the most extraordinary reserves in the area. Marcella was an exceptional host: friendly, helpful, kind, full of care and attention and lavish with advice on places to visit and things to do (in the house you will find many brochures, magazines and maps useful for the purpose). The house is very comfortable, cozy, the cleanliness really impeccable in every room. We couldn't have chosen better. It was a wonderful holiday, thank you Marcella!!

Nunzia is a helpful and kind host. The house is in a very convenient area to get around on foot and easily reach both hiking itineraries and the main services (restaurants, bars, supermarkets). We found the house very clean with all the essentials for the kitchen and bathroom, also equipped with an outdoor space. Truly highly recommended, perfect for visiting the Majella park, the Orfento Valley and several Abruzzo villages.

5 Stars – A Romantic Gem in the Heart of Abruzzo This cottage is an absolute dream! Tucked away just 5 minutes from Sulmona and 7 minutes from the postcard-perfect village of Pacentro, it’s the ideal romantic hideaway. Peaceful, beautifully styled, and surrounded by stunning countryside—it feels like your own slice of Italian heaven. Francesca has thought of everything. The house was spotless and incredibly well stocked—the fridge and pantry were filled with thoughtful touches that made our mornings easy and our evenings cosy. We enjoyed a mix of eating out at local favourites and cooking at home with gorgeous local produce. If you're thinking about booking—don’t hesitate. You’ll fall in love with this place just like we did!

We had an amazing time at this lovely house. We felt at home straight away. The house is even better than the pictures suggest: It's cosy yet spacious. A few practical things: the beds are great, the shower is nice and hot and the kitchen is complete. And, much more important to us, this place truly felt like home. We enjoyed having coffee on the terrace at morning and reading in front of the fire place at night. For those seeking peace and quiet, the location could hardly be any better. During the days, we went on a few amazing hikes, both from nearby Caramanico Termine and straight from the house. Decontra is surrounded by stunning views of the mountains, valleys and even the sea! During the nights, the place was completely quiet and we slept very well. Giuseppe is a lovely person and an amazing host. He was easy to get in touch with and fully respected our privacy while going out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. Thank you for the amazing stay, Giuseppe! :)

Cozy and well-equipped accommodation, equipped with all the essential amenities, including parking. The location is excellent, practically in the center, so extremely convenient. The apartment also offers a nice fireplace and a livable and equipped outdoor space, which help make it even more comfortable and complete. The host was very kind and always available. Highly recommended!
