it was a surprise. It's a wonderful place and the location of Susana's house is unbeatable to tour all the most important places.

Cozy and comfortable. This place was perfect for our needs. Anabela was a great host! Be prepared for some narrow streets in the neighborhood but we got used to them pretty quick. Be sure to walk around Penedo at sunset - beautiful!

Paula was amazing, so helpful, went over and beyond to help us and provide us with lots of info. So friendly, offered to book restaurants for us etc The house is fabulous better than the pictures for location and peacefulness . Swimming pool was lovely all the outside sofas. The view of the mountains was just wonderful. You need a car to drive to village, best village is azetitio, lovely restaurants and shops. Great local cafe and very reasonable compared to london prices. We drove to different places and different beaches. Loved Lisbon 44 mins away. Cascais was a pretty town but too touristy. Comporta was amazing, super special, wonderful place to eat and unusual shops. We drove to it 1hour but you. A get a ferry from Setabul €35 for three people. Thank you Paula for a great stay.

Sofia was a very proactive and friendly host. All key information were promptly provided days prior to check-in. Easy self-access with the instructions provided. Rooms were ready and property was clean by the time we arrived. It is a 10-20 minutes commute to certain shops at late hours, however, the privacy is worth its keep. There is supermarket super close by, for us was unfortunate due to the time we would arrive everyday at the property meant they were always closed, but those seeking a holiday, that would be no issue. Lovely spacious living room with doors that you see straight out to the swimming pool. As we were there mainly for business purposes, we did not manage to have usage of certain available amenities - but worth to those coming in for a holiday. Sofia was also always efficient in responding, regardless of time (unethical on my part to message pas midnight) nonetheless, she would respond right away. Beautiful home and an amazing host.

Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

Extremely calm and very beautiful place, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, perfect for relaxing and being in contact with nature, we hear the donkey, the chickens, the birds in the distance, we have the goats in the late afternoon, it is a very beautiful sunset, the village is friendly. The space meets expectations, I hope to return!

Very well designed place .. it’s a very quiet and private newly renovated house .. someone put a lot of thought into the architecture and design of every detail .. agent was very easy to communicate with .. everything was perfect

We just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The house is multi-level with several dining areas both inside and out. Well stocked kitchen and modern appliances. Beds are comfy, hot water is plentiful with great pressure. Forest views to the ocean. My husband spent hours walking through the cork forest. Complete tranquility and peace. Incredibly beautiful sand beaches 30 minutes away. The host is very responsive and helpful with many suggestions for activities in the area, complete with Google map links. Although it was just the two of us, the house is perfect for families. We dream of returning for a longer stay.

Christina was extremely helpful and an excellent host. As a superhost myself, I would absolutely rate this place a 5 star. Her level of communication was excellent providing us with a driver and great local recommendations. I highly recommend having a hired driver while visiting the area if you want to travel outside the square.

This place was perfect for what we were looking for. We needed somewhere that could accommodate 9 of us, 6 adults and 3 children under 3. The house itself was beautiful, very tidy and had so much space. The hosts Ana and Nuno had thought of the children and provided us with cots, high chairs, children’s dinnerware, and even things for the children to play with. The swimming pool was gated off as described. The location felt really private and quiet, with beautiful views of the sea. We were able to walk down to the local shops and beach of Praia das Maçãs, so we didn’t need to hire a car. Ana was so friendly and helpful before and during our stay. We had such a lovely time here, and would love to come back one day.

A magical place, a breathtaking view, we loved our stay. A unique experience!!! The cabin is very well-equipped and comfortable. Sophie was kind enough to provide us with baby equipment that contributed to the quality of our stay. We had a breakdown with our rental car,Sophie was very helpful, very responsive, a huge thank you to her. We highly recommend!!!!!!!

Beautifully renovated and decorated house in a very traditional village/small town. The garden with its cooling pool and dining/chilling area was equally beautifully presented as per listing. Although a car is needed to visit the area and for restaurants etc, Casa Arnaldo is in a great location for exploring the area including fantastic beaches, vineyards and historical sites, which Cristina informed us about providing plenty of useful information to make the most of our stay.

Liseta was a great host , quick to respond and very helpful. The place was amazing , beautiful garden and pool was brilliant . We had the best time and can’t wait to book again!

A Perfect Stay in Amora, Portugal! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The house in Amora was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly welcoming. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special—starting with the thoughtful welcome basket filled with local treats and essentials. Such a lovely touch! One of our favorite parts of the stay was the pool. It was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We also really appreciated the owner’s local recommendations—every spot they suggested was a hit, from charming cafes to hidden gems in the area. Thanks to their guidance, we discovered a nearby beach frequented mostly by locals—and it was absolute paradise. Quiet, stunning, and totally unspoiled. It made our trip even more magical. This rental truly felt like a home away from home. Cozy, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. We can’t wait to come back!

Little very cozy house in a fantastic place!

Christoph was a warm and friendly host with whom we had several nice chats including when he invited us and our little dog, Jimi, for sundowners and coffee. Christoph was very welcoming to us all, including Jimi, who made great friends with his dog Lara. He was very responsive to our needs, although we had no problems other than that Jimi would have liked to have spent lots more time with Christoph and Lara! Christoph kindly solved this problem for us at our request by creating a barrier between Jimi and his and Lara's private space to stop Jimi from becoming a nuisance! Christoph is very knowledgeable about the local and surrounding areas and recommended some nice places for us to visit. Christoph has created a lovely, comfortable and well equipped home for his visitors and we would highly recommend Casa Belavista to anyone wanting to explore this beautiful part of Poprtugal. The place is very cute and the beach and how open and undeveloped the beach was is unlike anywhere else. We did three days of surf lessons from Caeser who is literally 100ft from the house down the beach and there is surfing right out your front door with board and wetsuit rentals.. The town itself is a little bleak and there wasn't much to do and we found if the weather was bad restaurants close very early (like 6pm) so just make sure to find out times if you are planning on eating out for dinner. Our family of four was in love (2 boys ages 7 and 10) but my in laws came too who are in their early 80s. I clearly wasn't thinking bc the walk to the house is through the sand and hard to navigate, my mother in law also couldn't get over the sand dune to go to the beach, and the stairs in the house are more like a ladder. so it's wonderful for able bodies but if you have someone with special needs it may not be suitable. but otherwise if you love surfing, beautiful sunsets book it!

Loved everything about this air BnB. Celso had thought of absolutely everything, probably the most well equipped air BnB we’ve ever stayed in. To wake up in the dunes and watch sunset from them was such a treat - hope to return again soon! Recommend avoiding heavy luggage and packing smaller overnight bags to make it easy getting from the car park to the air BnB. Would also recommend princesa beach club for lunch nearby, had a great day here.

Jens is kind, friendly, humourous, knowledgeable and gave great recommendations from airport transport to local restaurants. The apartment is really an oasis. The courtyard is so peaceful and lovely just to sip coffee listening to the birds in the morning or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Fascinating history of the renovations work which have been done to the highest specifications, with attention to details. Really a home away from home. Would love to return!
