The famous Southern Upland Way walking route is accessible on foot from the cottage along with other beautiful hill walking, including some impressive peaks with breathtaking views. Streams and pools nearby for paddling and wild swimming adventures.

Swift Cottage was lovingly converted in 2014 from McMurdoston's old granary. It's a perfect base from which to explore the hidden gem of Dumfries and Galloway - an area packed with history, wildlife, unspoilt beaches, stunning views and acres of wilderness. We're a 15 minute drive from Dumfries (you'll find eateries, supermarkets, independent shops, an ice bowl, cinema and leisure centre) but Swift Cottage feels as though it's in the middle of nowhere - with dark skies and genuine peace.

Woodend is a beautiful cottage set in a semi rural setting, with stunning aspects from all bedrooms and sitting room. Quiet and tranquil garden and patio area, perfect for enjoying a glass of bubbly and taking in the wonderful views and relaxing. The semi detached cottage is stylish and tastefully decorated. The Bothy is a modern self-contained studio adjacent to our home. An old stone bothy converted in 2017, the accommodation offers a private open plan space with it's own entrance, patio garden and parking. Situated on a smallholding looking out to sea in a beautiful region on the Solway coast, secluded beaches and coves are only a 15 minute stroll and the artists town of Kirkcudbright a short drive away. We offer a 15% discount for weekly stays.
