Close to the Galloway Forest park, an excellent base for walking, mountain biking and star gazing due to the dark skies. The famous Southern Upland Way walking route is accessible on foot from the cottage along with other beautiful hill walking, including some impressive peaks with breathtaking views. Streams and pools nearby for paddling and wild swimming adventures.

Brigston Cottage is one of the oldest in the hamlet. It is centrally located in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway Ideal for exploring the whole area.This is a non pet property.

Cosy Cottage
The Old Post Office is a cosy little cottage on the High street of Scotland's smallest Royal Burgh. It was built in 1835 and was one of the many homes the local Post office has enjoyed over the centuries. There are steps up to the entrance and the staircase is quite steep and narrow so not suitable for all. The bedroom and bathroom are snug with low ceilings. The kitchen diner has a log burner for keeping the cottage toastie.

A stones throw from some of Scotland's finest unspoiled and quiet beaches and within driving distance of all of the 7stanes mounting biking trails for those looking for a little more adventure.
