Apartment holiday rentals in Catedral District

My stay at Moises place was very enjoyable. The apartment is very modern and clean. The balcony provides a great view over San Jose. As others have mentioned the noise of the train can be a little annoying if you’re not used to city noises, in particular there is a lot of train honking and not just the train passing by even so I didn’t need to use the earplugs provided.

Very nice loft style apartment with really big windows and a beautiful balcony overlooking the entire city with view of the mountains in the background as long as you look for the name of the building, you will be OK

I had a great stay at Dominique’s AirBnB in Barrio Otoya. I was in San Jose for a week to explore some of Costa Rica’s capital and to do some day trips to tourist spots outside the city. The AirBnB was in a great location both for visiting museums and the National Theatre in downtown San Jose as well as for checking out coffee shops and restaurants in nearby Barrio Escalante. Dominique was a responsive host for check in and check out and also offered good local recommendations for activities (I arrived the weekend of the Transitarte festival which was a fab rec!) and places to eat (Cafe Otoya is a must!). The AirBnB has two stages to entry so feels very safe and secure (plus security camera!) on a quieter street, but is close to a pick up point for guided tours (across from the La Linea Bar). Overall, I would happily return here if ever back in San Jose! A note for light sleepers/late risers: heed the note re. the trains, especially in the morning (didn’t bother me though!😁)

We had a great time in San Jose and felt at home in the apartment. It was the ideal location for us. We felt very comfortable and safe because it was a secured location with security guards. Having a designated parking spot made it easier to go back and forth without worrying about finding a parking spot. Additionally, the complex is located across from a supermarket so it was easy for us to walk and get groceries. It is located within walking distance to multiple restaurants so we didn’t need to drive for dining. The view overlooking the city from the balcony was amazing. Javier was a great host and I strongly recommend their Airbnb as a preferred place.

Great location- close to all the fun restaurants and bars of Barrio Escalante. Pool area was very nice. Apartment was clean and had everything I needed!

Cannot say enough great things about Urbn and this adorable apartment and very responsive and accommodating host. The neighborhood is definitely one of our favorites as well, so much to do and felt safe to be out at night. We cannot wait to come back.

Great apartment to stay in the center of Escalante. The building is very new so the apartment is in great condition and has a great style. Very short walk to many restaurants and cafe’s but fairly quiet location. Great views!

In fact, without asking for help, he was already giving me instructions to facilitate my arrival and of course we loved the place. He welcomed us with a gift👌🏻. If your coming to Costa rica, I'd 100% recommend staying here. the space was big and it came with everything you needed and then some. we were able to get to everywhere close by amd easily. Not to mention we were able to walk to the nearest convienance store and pick up household items. Plus, they have internet and are quick to respond with any queations you may have. Don't think twice, if this spot is open get it. I stayed for over 7 days and it was all worth it!

The apartment has all the simple conveniences and was super clean and organized. Have stayed several times when in San Jose and will continue to stay, feels like home, actually better than home.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb. The area is very quiet, safe and is super well located: close to everything and with excellent restaurant options a few minutes away. The apartment was clean, well-equipped and comfortable, ideal for feeling at home. In addition, Benedicto was very kind and was always willing to help with whatever we needed. Very central, clean, tidy place. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, the bed mattress is nice, I felt at home.
