Tethera Nook - a beautifully crafted retreat

Matthew James RichardRating, 5 starstoday
We had a lovely stay at Tethera Nook with our dog Luna! Emma and Craig were brilliant and it was lovely to see them working so hard on their gorgeous garden while we were there! It provided a lovely place to sit with a drink in the mornings! Their very friendly dog Capone always happy to come and say hello! It felt very private the whole week, walking distance to Kendal town, and we even hiked up to Scouts Scar which was recommended in the guide book (the views definitely did not disappoint). Tethera nook had everything we needed for our stay and with it being extremely hot the fan was an added bonus in keeping us and our dog cool! The eggs and veg that Emma leaves out is incredible and the little gifts of brownies, gin and jams on our arrival kept us going for the whole week! Everything was just perfect for our relaxing week away in the lakes, with close links to the rest of the national park! We would absolutely stay here again!

Ridge House, Cautley, Cumbria

HafsaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at Ridge House. The location is incredible with walks right from the door into the surrounding hills. It’s 5minutes drive from Sedburgh as well which has a butcher and grocer, some nice pubs and lovely walks along the river. However, that said, the house is just so gorgeous, with such attention to detail, that you’d be forgiven for just staying there and not going out! The outside space is a lovely sun trap, the living room has beautiful views and the kitchen dining room is a fantastic family friendly room. Mary and Jonny were both incredibly hospitable and we were so grateful they shared their home with us!

Dalesway cottage

SueRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our second stay at Dalesway Cottage. It’s perfect. Clean, well-equipped, good bath and shower, comfortable beds. The sitting areas in front and behind the house mean you can always sit and relax in the sun. There is lots of up to date information about the local area plus laminated sheets of walks to do. It’s so peaceful, just the birds and lambs to gently wake you up in the morning. We love it and will definitely return.

Sunnyside Cottage

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A lovely little cottage in the heart of the village, very welcoming in both pubs. A lovely neighbour Jackie, told us lots about the village and things to do, have a chat with him. Great communication from Steph and Ant before our and during our stay, even messaged to say the cottage was available early and we could go in. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this cottage.

Sweetcorn small but sweet

GemmaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Had a great couple of days here. Great central location with lots of pubs and places to eat. Easy to drive into The Dales for walks and Heather was a great host. Sweetcorn is a clean and cosy flat on the main road, pub directly next door and one across the road, both dog friendly 🙂. Car park is really close as well which was handy.

We had a wonderful stay at Brenda’s pod! The location was perfect, surrounded by nature and full of peaceful farm vibes, which made for a really relaxing getaway with the family. We especially enjoyed the BBQ area and spent a lovely evening cooking and chatting outdoors. The pod itself was cozy and well-equipped, and Brenda was a fantastic host, very responsive, helpful, and kind throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, nature-filled setting!

The Wash House - cosy & centrally located bothy

BillRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very pleased with accommodation and facilities as described - the Wash House was clean and nicely furnished with a wood burning stove if required and table and chairs outside. Great location in the centre of Sedbergh with shops, pubs and food to hand. Beautiful walking country on hills or along the river. Thank you Nicholas for an enjoyable weekend.

Valley Cottage on the River Eden

MarkRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a highlight of our trip having toured through the US and UK. A beautiful and idyllic location with most amazing views. The cottage was stunning with lots of room, well-appointed and a great atmosphere. The instruction book was clear and detailed. Beds were extremely comfortable. The gift of wine and gingerbread cake was very thoughtful and well received. The fireplace created the perfect atmosphere. Proximity to the local village was ideal with lots of good eating places. We loved the walks through the viaducts. Took a day trip to Windermere which was fantastic. Would certainly recommend a boat trip on the lake. This Airbnb was outstanding, and we hope to return some day.
