Casa Milorca Cottage Suite

The Karoo-style Cottage Suite sleeps two and is tucked away in the pretty gardens behind the main house at Casa Milorca, which was built in 1860 and is situated in one of Prince Albert's prettiest streets in the historic heart of the town. The cottage has a king-size bed with quality white bed linen, and there is an en suite bathroom with shower, as well as a compact lounge and dining area. The kitchenette area has washing up facilities, a toaster, kettle, microwave and bar fridge, and basic kitchen utensils. There is also a tea and coffee station with home-baked rusks. The Cottage Suite, which has its own private verandah, can also be configured with two single beds instead of a king-size bed. Thanks to air-conditioning the cottage is cool in summer and warm in winter; there is also has a standing fan if that is preferred.

There are abundant organic gardens, a spring fed fresh water plunge pool with a amazing views, all in a very beautiful and peaceful valley in the klein karoo countryside. Cottage 5 overlooks an incredible landscape. The top floor consists of a open plan kitchen and bedroom with a double bed and aircon. This leads out onto a veranda where a table and seating can be enjoyed. There is also a bathroom with shower on this level. Following the outside stairs to the lower level, a second bedroom is found with two single beds and a small hand basin. A fire driven hot tub can be found in close proximity to the front door as well as a private braai facility.

We had a lovely stay celebrating a friend's birthday. One suggestion would be to equip the kitchen with a few more platters and larger serving bowls to enable cooking and serving larger groups of people. Also perhaps some lamps in the lounge to create more ambience. It was either very bright lights while eating at the dining table / sitting in the lounge or in the dark with just the kitchen lights as lighting. Other than that we had a lovely stay and highly recommend your establishment for a comfortable stay for large families.
