The Walnut Tree B & B is located in Zana, a hamlet in the upper part of Abbadia Lariana on the eastern shore of Lake Como. We are one hour away from Milan, 2 and a half km away from Mandello del Lago and 3 km away from Abbadia Lariana. If you arrive by train, we can pick you up by car from the train station of Mandello or Abbadia Lariana. The part of the house given over to the B&B has been sensitively restored and has the character of an old country house, complete with a balcony with views over the lake. The two rooms have private bathrooms. In summer you can have your breakfast served on the terrace in the garden. A few kilometers away is the town of Varenna, where boats depart for the lake. The whole area is known for the famous mountain "Grigna", a wonderful place for walking and climbing. If you enjoy motorcycles, be sure to visit the museum of Guzzi motorcycle. Abbadia is the perfect place to swim: there are no private homes that overlook the beautiful beach. A simple comfortable and bright house, with a large living room, furnished with charming pieces. Each room leeds to a balcony ending in a rounded terrace built on a huge erratic rock which gives the name to the B&B. From there you can enjoy a beautiful sight of lake Como, its beautiful mountains, the ruins of an ancient castle and its village. At any time you can sip a drink in the terrace listening to the sweet sound of the stream flowing a few metres aside. In the evening the fresh breeze coming down from the valley makes your relaxing moments fantastic, after your baths in the lake, your trekking, your boat trips in the wonderful sites all around Nesso. B&B “Masso Grasso” is in the ancient center of Nesso, a village half way between Como and Bellagio. The “Masso Grasso” is the ideal place for those looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature and beauty. The house is in the ancient part of the village. Its charme is intact. BnB has two twin rooms, a small living room, two showers and two toilets on the 2nd floor. The entire floor is private, so you won’t share it with anyone. There is no kitchen but a mini refrigerator, a microwave and a water pot are ready to use. Free continental breakfast will be served every morning. Our 2 rooms are very romantic, quiet and built in our beautiful farmhouse with high-quality materials and attention to detail. Both rooms are equipped with high-quality box-spring beds 220 x 200 cm. The BnB offers its own entrances and bathrooms. The self-service breakfast is simple (coffee, tea, juice, toast, cheese, yogurt, cereals, etc.). It can be prepared in the unheated anteroom and taken in the room. Parking spaces are available. The bus station is 1 km away.

Organic breakfast, private bathroom

The spacious (24 m²) south/east room in our B&B La Scala includes a private bathroom on the floor. A fantastic roof terrace with a view invites you to enjoy aperitifs at sunset. For breakfast, we will spoil you with all kinds of homemade and regional (mainly organic) delicacies. In our small library you will find numerous tips on the surroundings, books and games. You can also make tea, read a book or watch the village scenes on the adjoining balcony.

Glamping Nature Lodge Gadestatt

Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail.

You can relax in the beautiful garden on the lounger, do sports while paddling with our SUP's or canoes, take a trip to the Rigi and much more. Boat directly from Lucerne in 50 minutes or train to Küssnacht am Rigi + bus to Vitznau station.

You will be enchanted by this view. Unwind, do yoga on our yoga mats, or enjoy a walk/hike by the lake or above Lake Thun. The kitchen is equipped with a table, stove, refrigerator, and everyday utensils. Books, a fire pit, and the possibility to do laundry are also available. Hikes and the lake are just a few minutes' walk away.

Relaxation in the countryside with breakfast

Our house is quietly and idyllically located on the edge of a forest at the foot of the Lindenberg. The two guest rooms with two beds each, shower/toilet, lounge, balcony are in the new building and thus have their own entrance. Hohenrain is located between Lucerne and Lenzburg and between Sursee and Cham/Zug.
