The Walnut Tree B & B is located in Zana, a hamlet in the upper part of Abbadia Lariana on the eastern shore of Lake Como. We are one hour away from Milan, 2 and a half km away from Mandello del Lago and 3 km away from Abbadia Lariana. If you arrive by train, we can pick you up by car from the train station of Mandello or Abbadia Lariana. The part of the house given over to the B&B has been sensitively restored and has the character of an old country house, complete with a balcony with views over the lake. The two rooms have private bathrooms. In summer you can have your breakfast served on the terrace in the garden. A few kilometers away is the town of Varenna, where boats depart for the lake. The whole area is known for the famous mountain "Grigna", a wonderful place for walking and climbing. If you enjoy motorcycles, be sure to visit the museum of Guzzi motorcycle. Abbadia is the perfect place to swim: there are no private homes that overlook the beautiful beach. The BnB offers its own entrances and bathrooms. The self-service breakfast is simple (coffee, tea, juice, toast, cheese, yogurt, cereals, etc.). It can be prepared in the unheated anteroom and taken in the room. Parking spaces are available. The bus station is 1 km away.

We rent our very small studio (13 sqm) with private entrance for one or two people. WE DO NOT OFFER BREAKFAST. The bed (140 x 200 cm) can be transformed into a sofa in no time with a handle. Wi-Fi, a writing desk, a TV and a terrace seat are available. A private shower/toilet, bed linen with terry towels, hair dryer and hair shampoo are provided. There is a simple and well-equipped kitchen with fridge, kettle and coffee machine.

Located a 15-minute walk from the Vue-des-Alpes, this generous and bright space will happily accommodate small groups or families. The versatile living room with views of the Alps allows you to organize courses, seminars or family parties (capacity 40 people). With the furniture removed, it allows for more meditative activities, e.g. yoga with up to about 10 people. For musical activities, a piano is available to guests.

Glamping Nature Lodge Gadestatt

Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail.

You will be enchanted by this view. Unwind, do yoga on our yoga mats, or enjoy a walk/hike by the lake or above Lake Thun. The kitchen is equipped with a table, stove, refrigerator, and everyday utensils. Books, a fire pit, and the possibility to do laundry are also available. Hikes and the lake are just a few minutes' walk away.

Relaxation in the countryside with breakfast

Our house is quietly and idyllically located on the edge of a forest at the foot of the Lindenberg. The two guest rooms with two beds each, shower/toilet, lounge, balcony are in the new building and thus have their own entrance. Hohenrain is located between Lucerne and Lenzburg and between Sursee and Cham/Zug.
