We had an amazing stay at Laura's place! The home was spotless, cozy, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Laura was an exceptional host—responsive, helpful, and gave us great local tips. The location offered a perfect balance of privacy and tranquility, making it easy to relax and unwind. We truly felt at home and appreciated all the little touches that made our stay special. Highly recommend staying here, and we'd definitely love to come back!

Well, our review will be a lot like the others. We just had an incredible couple nights at the chalet. Beautiful serene location, and the amenities in the cabin are perfect. All in all a well-thought-out property, lodging, and overall experience. Will be back!

An absolute gem. Beautiful 360 degree views with all the comforts of home. Perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate after a big day hiking, biking, or paddling the Arkansas River. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Beautiful setting on large property with mountain views and a creek close. Near to many excellent hiking and fishing options. The guest house has a comfortable bed and great place to relax. Margaret communicates well and made check in simple. I'll be looking to book this property again.

Bernedette’s cabin was such a nice stay in Buena Vista! Located very close to town and the hot springs, yet feels isolated surrounded by nature and the mountains. Our family really enjoyed the stay, using the hot tub, kitchen for cooking dinner, and tv for movie nights. I recommend to anyone looking for a close to town, cabin stay in Buena Vista!

Wonderful stay! We really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host, such as having enough towels, toiletries, and even common stuff that you might for get like make up remover wipes. I feel like these days airbnb hosts aren't super considerate like that, and have only the bare minimums but we didn't feel that way for this rental! 10 out of 10.

This place was thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated. There are so many cute spots to relax and the river is right there wherever you choose. The hottub was amazing with 2 reclining seats. I would definitely stay here again!

Came here for my birthday and had an AWESOME stay! Check-In process is super simple and we were even able to pay an extra fee for an early check in - which was much appreciated! Airbnb looked exactly as pictured - honestly even better in person. Loved all the small touches! Host was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. I loved having the local recommendations/guidebook. We tried a handful of the hosts recommendations and they did NOT disappoint. The amenities on the property (hot tub, sauna, bath house) were GREAT and truly made our stay. We enjoyed spending time in downtown Salida for food/coffee… but aside from that we didn’t want to leave our place we loved it so much! Had such a great time we plan on coming back to check out one of the other Airbnb’s on the property. Definitely recommend!

Perfect stay. Great hosts. This is their second home, fully equipped. If you stay here please treat it as your own. Location is quiet, with an amazing view & close proximity to Buena Vista for shopping, hiking, water sports. Lotsa room for a big family, or 2 couples and kids. I had it all to myself for 7 nights. Kids room has bunk beds. Wifi was plenty fast with the living room smart Tv and surround sound system. Plenty of parking for several cars with easy access on county maintained dirt roads.

This cabin is wonderful!!! It was cozy and clean. Everything you need is provided. I look forward to renting here again if we are in the area.

2nd visit here. Wonderful place to unplug! Beware: door handle will open from inside while it is locked - I did manage to lock myself out! Thank God I had my truck keys in my hand or I would’ve been sunk. Once I got down to Pitkin, Tony was quick to help me out with a spare key at 10:00pm in the middle of nowhere! I slept really great that night knowing I could’ve been sleeping in my truck! I would recommend Tony hiding a key somewhere or switching to a keypad lock (or even a lock that won’t let you open the door from the inside while it’s locked). Great stay in spite of a nerve-wrecking drive down to Pitkin one evening hoping I could reach Tony. Thankfully it all worked out. Also - FYI - the drive from the Pitkin side is not as rocky as the drive from Tincup. Definitely recommend going up from Pitkin if you can.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

Our whole group (8 total) really enjoyed our "girls weekend" here. We were all blown away by the view through the huge living room windows when we first came in the back door. The place was also bigger than we expected, which was a great surprise. The house had everything we needed for a big home cooked dinner, good night's sleep, and a movie night. We also loved the deck for happy hour drinks and star viewing at night. I really appreciated how quiet of an area it is. I highly recommend this home for anyone willing to be outside of town/a 20 minute drive to Buena Vista.

Pauls cabin is a great retreat away from the city. The stars were bright and the seclusion was beautiful both night and day!

We really enjoyed this place for our group of 8. It’s hard to find a great place for a big group usually but that wasn’t the case this time. Our mom recently passed away and this provided a nice and nearby getaway for us to be together. This is super close to the hot springs. The recommendation to visit the fish hatchery was wonderful too. Thank you, you have a beautiful lodge and we hope to be back.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay! April was so kind and very friendly and gave us great recommendations for hiking and food in the area :) we adored this place and will absolutely be back again. The cabin itself was so cozy and the beds were super comfy. Also tons of fun activities were available like a playground, games and movies. And we loved that there was an enclosed dog park for our pup!! Definitely stay here if you can :) 10/10 recommend.

Great place to stay while in Buena Vista. The cabin was very warm and cozy, I felt right at home. With a comfy bed, nice living room area, pristine bathroom and great kitchen area, the cabin has everything you need to relax after a full day recreating in the mountains. Also, very close to Main Street, with plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. I would definitely stay again, thank you! :)

We went right before Christmas and the house was decorated so beautifully! The heated floors were a super nice touch on those cold mornings when you have a hard time getting out of bed. An amazing touch was the view from the master bed, I was so surprised to see the stars staring at me as we fell asleep each night. What a magical way to end the day.

If you want a lovely view of the mountains, a porch to enjoy watching the twinkling night sky, and comfortable amenities, this place is for you! Our plane was delayed and Dean made sure we got where we needed in the dark. Yummy restaurants and downtown aren’t far away. We will be back!

We loved our stay here! We enjoyed the privacy, mountain views & plenty of outdoor space to explore. We had a couple rainy days & it would've been great if there were a few games/puzzles available at the house. Besides that, we really enjoyed our visit & would recommend to others!

Our group of friends stayed at this beautiful house to use as base camp for sxs riding. We loved it! It feels secluded, but is a short drive to town. We spent time at the fire pit, enjoyed the views from the deck, and the roads that are part of the development are great for morning walks. The hosts answer ed questions I had about the area quickly-and happy to say with their guidance, I found Fairview Peak and hiked to the top! Pitkin is a lovely, quiet town, and make sure you hit the Stumbling Moose and the Silver Plume Store. We’d stop for ice and incidentals each morning and loved visiting with the young couple that runs it as well as the locals who would gather on the porch each morning. The only hang up we had was buffering internet while watching the Chiefs game, but a quick call to Kathy fixed the problem. The WiFi isn’t very strong, but that’s ok because you’re there to enjoy nature! Highly recommend staying here and hope to return!

Definitely need 4 wheel drive to get to cabin, they plow snow when needed. So pleasant to talk to and very helpful. Says the clean up us simple cause want you to have nice vacation time! Beautiful and very close to skiing.
