Monthly Rentals in Chelem

The house is highly recommended. It is highly functional, with spacious spaces and impeccable cleanliness. The living room is very comfortable, ideal for relaxing or working. For those who work online, as is the case, it is an excellent place: it has good internet, a work table, different types of chairs and a pleasant environment. The kitchen is fully stocked for long stays and is very comfortable. Francisco, the host, was always available and attentive. While the house is spectacular, the village of Chelém is not the best destination for tourists. The streets have quite a lot of trash and construction materials scattered, which affects their appearance. The beaches aren't the best either - they don't have much sand and are not ideal for walking. That said, if the reason for the stay is work or any other reason that doesn't depend on the appeal of the village, this house is just perfect.

Very nice and quiet place, very clean stay as in the photos, and as other guests mention, you can see a variety of birds from the pool, and the landscapes are incredible

Jill and Martin are an excellent hosts. The place is clean and comfortable, and Jill was always readily available to answer any questions I had about the area, or even order Uber for me to get around when I initially arrived because I had phone issues. This is a quiet place and ideal for someone who wants to walk on the beach and take a swim, especially early in the mornings, which I did quite often. Nothing is perfect, so my only recommendations are: this is a quiet town if you need the experience of a busy downtown you will need to take an Uber or Taxi to go to either Progresso or Merida Centro for a more lively nightlife. Also, it gets hot near the beach towns in this area, so to enhance your experience I would consult with the host on the AC usage time frame( if there is any). I enjoyed Jill, Martin, and a couple of other guests that were staying there during my visit...These are super friendly people to hang with by the pool while having a couple of cervezas!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at J R's place. It was just as described at a reasonable price. Well cared for and private, with a stunning balcony right on the Gulf of Mexico. Diana greeted us and showed us around. Her pride in the property was obvious. J R was away for the first few days of our visit, but was in constant contact, as needed. The property was extremely clean. We appreciated the AC on the hottest days, and the beautiful surroundings every day. The local shops and restaurants of Chelem are a short walk away. Chuburna and Progreso are nearby. Would definitely return!
