We stayed at Mark's Place for two weeks of remote work and vacation and it was great! The location is just secluded enough to feel like you've gotten away but it's also an easy and pretty drive to Lunenburg for shopping and dining. We enjoyed watching the tides change from the living room couch and from the hot tub. Also, Mark's Place is fully stocked. It had every upscale item imaginable in the kitchen and each bathroom had its own set of towels, hairdryer, etc. It was also easy to communicate with Mark and his cleaning team and - for those who care - the WiFi was able to handle multiple laptops, phones and other devices without fail. As an added bonus, during our stay, we saw many different birds in the water and on the lawn, a deer family and a porcupine family.

This house in Halifax is a true gem! It’s very spacious, dog-friendly, and has a lovely backyard where we spotted and heard so many beautiful birds, including a blue jay. The home is super comfortable and located close to tons of great restaurants, breweries, and attractions. One highlight: Sweet and Sassy, an amazing breakfast spot just a 5-minute walk away, absolutely fabulous!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

Beautiful spot! Although the weather wasn't great it was peaceful and relaxing. Our kids fished all weekend and loved it. The house was beautiful and clean. Chris was always responsive to questions. Great stay!

Located on a picturesque small island, Mont’s place provides a tranquil and beautiful stay as you can dream of. With the exceptionally detailed information and instructions shared by Mont by email beforehand as well as in hard copies on site, it is easy to find and use what you need. We enjoyed every moment at the place, particularly cooking at the handy kitchen and playing UNO by the warm steel stove. The Crescent Beach that connects the island with the mainland is unique - you can drive on the beach in low tide!

The hospitality of this place was fantastic. The place was spacious, light and bright. Everything you need was there. It was clean and perfectly laid out. A complimentary bottle of local wine and some chocolates was fantastic. Absolutely loved the place.

Shobac farm is a unique architectural and farm experience. It was great to have gaffs point and Hirtle’s beach within hiking distance. The sheep were a constant fascination for our pup. Appreciated having access to a lap pool, steam shower and sauna. Thoroughly enjoyed having a wood fire and enjoying and vast country side views from the gatehouse.

Beautiful stay! The lake was fairly accessible, unfortunately the pool was out of service but the host kindly informed us before our stay and gave us options for refund. Happy we decided to stay, as it is a beautiful spot by the lake!

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! Our little cabin was more than enough! Clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer! I'm so glad we stayed local one day and visited the library and local eateries. Our host was easy to talk to and very responsive. We also loved the kayaks. We will be back!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Laura's place this weekend, she was an amazing host super responsive, and the place was exactly as described. There was coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available for me as well as chocolates left on the table for me to enjoy. The pool was an absolutely amazing experience as well as private, considering their house is upstairs. The house was overall super clean, and the bed was comfy as well. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, and I will be back in the future.

David’s property overlooking Shad Bay is a gem with a wonderful view! The kitchen was well stocked, and he even provided a dozen eggs, juice and bread should one desire a hearty breakfast to cook on a two burner induction hot plate. The kitchen, while large, is not designed to cook full dinners. The bed was very comfortable. David’s decorating style is eclectic with a good dose of contemporary mixed in with traditional furnishings and the art taking center stage. David greeted us upon arrival and we spoke with him every morning. We had delightful conversation. A highlight for us was interacting with Molly and Peaches, a small poodle and a large doodle. We would highly recommend David’s accommodation!

This property fit our needs perfectly. The view of lake was outstanding. The house was very clean and the bedding was comfortable. The hot tub was also clean and easy to use.

This host went above and beyond to get me in with an unscheduled booking - short notice! They rushed a cleaning and made me feel very welcome. And they gave me flexibility on checking out times. Friendly. Accommodating. Great value. Great location and a lovely airy relaxing space.

The property is truly amazing! The views were spectacular, the host was very friendly and quick to respond, and everything was very clean. We had a group of 12 and had plenty of space. The hot tub and sauna are wonderful additions and added to our experience. Alicia is a superb host and I highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming Airbnb! The space was quaint, spotless, and incredibly peaceful - the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. The private hot tub overlooking the ocean was a definite highlight, and everything was thoughtfully prepared. It truly felt like our own little slice of paradise. I had a lovely stay at David and Nancy's cottage. The cottage was roomy, spotlessly clean and fully equipped (the kitchen had a few items in it that I don't even have in my own kitchen). It was comfortable and convenient and David and Nancy were responsive, kind and generous. I would definitely stay with them again the next time I am in Hubbards. (I'd come back just for Nancy's homemade chocolate mints!)
