Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Chiang Dao

The house is super beautiful and so much better than our expectations. Everything is so clean and well maintained. The host provides amenities and toiletries in every bathroom, even kitchen utensils. James is super reliable and responded to our inquiries and requests quick. We had a really great time staying in his house. It was a 10/10 experience.

Peaceful Retreat in Nature – Just What We Needed We were really happy with our stay in Chiang Dao. The house was exactly as described — peaceful, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. We truly enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the beautiful views. It was the perfect place to unwind and slow down. Alex was very kind and helpful, always quick to respond and easy to communicate with — we felt really well taken care of. A few things to keep in mind for future guests: the house is quite far from the town and other spots, so having your own transport is a big plus. We’d recommend renting a motorbike — and if you’re planning to stay for a while, it might be worth renting one in Chiang Mai, as it can be considerably cheaper. Also, light sleepers should know that there are roosters in the area, and they tend to start their day early. It didn’t bother us too much, but it’s good to be aware of. All in all, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d happily come back!

A true paradise. Pictures can't quite capture how special this place is. The river is calm and magical, the houses are beautifully designed, and the food is spectacular. We recommend this place with all of our heart. Communication with the staff requires google translate, but in the end we understood each other most of the time :)

Nitipun is a wonderful host as the place he is renting out. A huge country house located in the middle of the nature with a beautiful view on the mountain. There are panoramic windows and outdoor shower. A lot of birds and fresh air. Hidden gem :) hard to imagine a better stay to experience the true spirit of Chiang Dao.

Beautiful location, high quality rooms and idyllic climate high up in the hills. Only issue is getting transport to other places because of how remote it is.

We had a great stay at the villa (20ppx) . The villa is very nice and comfortable, room are specious and clean. Pool is amazing. The host and their staffs are very helpful and responsive. Will definitely be back.

Location was absolutely peaceful. Room overlooks the Mae Taeng river, with an Elephant sanctuary on the other side of the river. In the early morning and evening, elephants can be heard as they make their way to the river for a bath. This is the perfect place if you're looking for peace and rest. They aren't kidding when they say they provide meals. They fed us so much food we couldn't eat it all. No need to worry about finding meals. Just enjoy your stay. If you're looking for adventure, there are rafting, ATV, and other adventure sports businesses within 5 minutes.

Great hosts, very responsive and understanding. They were able to arrange home cook meals through local village women, and driver to take you around.

Great place in a picturesque area on the top of the hill. Relaxing and quiet, exactly what we were looking for. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. You can also find nice cafes and shops down the hill within 10 min hike. Hosts are always ready to answer your questions and even organise a pick up. I'll definitely come back

Quiet and cozy house. Lots of space. The living and working area is big and comfortable. Away from the main road and the noise. With a scooter, everything is accessible within 5 to 10 min. Was exactly what I wanted. Host super responsive and friendly.

The place is amazing, and the building it's really cool. The area is chill and quiet. Good place to stay in Chiang Dao.

Great stay overall! The house is right at the foot of the mountains with beautiful views, just like in the photos. It’s a bit far from central town, so I recommend asking the host to help rent a motorbike, as it’s located in a village with some dirt road. It’s very close to Chiang Dao Cave (about 10–15 mins by motorbike), and there are great spots nearby like Pronto Coffee (great drinks and food), and a nice massage place (กาญรเกศ นวดเพื่อสุขภาพเชียงดาว). A 7-Eleven and Mini Big C are also not far if you ride out to the main road. Do note that during the rainy season, there are more mosquitoes, so bringing repellent and anti-itch cream is a good idea. And the hosts were also super kind and easy to communicate with—would love to revisit this place someday.
