just renovated in walking street

30 meter from walking street and the river you find this newly renovated house. The house have 2 bathroom build by stones from mekong river in an old fashion Danish way. Upstarts have a closed outside area build with inspiration from Bali. The house is build with a soft minimalistic touch in a quiet sideroad to walking street. Here you can enjoy coffee or tea in the soft bean bag area, the front terrace, the sofa or the garden. For kids there are games to enjoy in the sofa area.

This place is what I was exactly looking for. Beautiful property overlooking Mekhon, very quiet. And most of all, Samlee and Stefan are the great hosts! Always quick and friendly response, and amazing hospitality. I highly recommend this place for those who seek for quiet and tranquil place to spend a holiday. I will definitely come back!

Cottage Exotic Hardwood on a Mekong Riverside - #2

The house, built by wooden entirely, is in a farm along side the Mekong river, about 6 km away from the Chiang Khan town, built by the host Tc gradually in 15 years before his retirement. Tc and his wife shared some food with me, most of which come from this very farm. The food is very very delicious and cooked in a health way. I did not drive but Tc is very kind and offered to drop me off at the town. As for return, it is easy to find tuk-tuks in the eastern end of the walking street, but drivers can only speak a bit of English and since the destination is a farm instead of a hotel they are familiar with, it is hard to communicate with them to make them understood the exact destination if you cannot speak Thai. It is much easier to call Tc and let Tc to communicate with the driver instead. Tc's wife also recommended a restaurant near the eastern end of the walking street and on a road in parallel with the walking street. The local food in the restaurant is delicious.
