Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Chicago

We had a great stay overall. From start to finish, Kailash was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. We needed a long-term stay with 2 big dogs, and this house worked great for us. We didn't get to use the pool much because the weather didn't cooperate, but the pool and patio area are gorgeous. The location is great, close to everything - grocery stores, restaurants, etc. There is a trail behind the house (accessible through a gate in the back yard), and it leads to a beautiful and huge forest preserve - beautiful for walks/hikes in the woods! The kitchen was a great space for us, and it had everything we might need for cooking, etc. The house was very comfortable for our family, and we would come again. Thank you, Kailash!

Very comfy apartment in a great neighborhood. We were in town for a baseball game and it’s a terrific place for that, just about a 20-minute walk to Wrigley Field. The only thing to be concerned about is the stairs: there are two flights to get into the apartment and they’re fairly steep and small, so if you have mobility issues that would be a concern. I don’t and had no problem. Karen is a lovely host and was very helpful when I was getting into the place and unloading my stuff from my car. There are tons of restaurants and coffee shops in the area, so it’s a great place to explore and hang out.

Adam was a great host and very responsive. We loved our stay. The house was clean and the house is easily accessible to everything. Would definitely recommend!

This is our second stay at this location and we hope to return again in the future. It is a very well-maintained place in a safe location. Also, we love how clean it is!

One of the best Airbnbs I have stayed at. It was beautifully decorated and super clean. Had everything I needed to feel comfortable and at home. The host was extremely responsive. The parking was a bit difficult but would not deter me from staying there again. Very close to downtown, about 10 minutes. Highly recommend.

Nice place tucked into a quiet, safe neighborhood. Backyard was outstanding. (We wish the weather had cooperated so we could have spent more time outside) One level home with comfy beds and furniture throughout. Kitchen was spacious and clean. Plenty of extra towels and blankets.

Great place for the price. Tom was a great host, always willing to help when needed. Thank you for starting the fire every night for us. Great location to have some privacy and not far from downtown. Would recommend!

Safe and quiet location with easy access to various business and restaurants in very close proximity! Spacious and bright rooms that can literally sleep 8, making it especially spacious for 4 of us. All amenities listed in the ad are functional and easy to use. Plenty of parking spaces for up to 3 cars, a big plus in the Chicago area. Hosts are fantastic for providing all needed services without interfering privacy! We felt like at home!!! Great organic cup coffee is a huge plus to start the morning with! Extremely kids friendly with so many toys, games, and books offered, together with a fancy bunker bed set! Definitely our first choice whenever we visit Chicago!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Perfect for two people. This place is really cute and unique. Love the decor and seeing all the cool art projects. This place was within a couple miles of all the places we wanted to see, especially Soldier Field, so a Uber/taxi ride was cheap and very convenient. Super cute neighborhood too with beautiful row houses both modern and original. It is a nice quiet neighborhood as well and we felt very safe! We would recommend the Iklektik/Blue Jay house to anyone visiting Chicago that wants a comfortable and cozy experience!

My experience with Paul was the best experience I have had booking with Air B and B. His communication was friendly and prompt. He answered all my questions before booking. Upon arriving, his check-in instructions were extremely easy and he explained things throughly. Entering the home was exactly as his pictures showed. Everything was clean and organized. He checked in shortly after our check-in time to make sure everything was up to par and asked if we needed anything. The home was nestled in a residential neighborhood and it was quiet, peaceful and safe. The beds were extremely comfortable which is always a plus when on vacation! I asked him for a couple recommended grocery stores that were close and he gave me great suggestions. All his amenities allowed us to cook at home and enjoy meals as a family. Checkout was super easy. We will defiantly reach out to Paul again when we make it back to Chicago. If I could give more than 5 stars I defiantly would! Highly recommended!

We truly had the best time staying at Alec’s. The space is lovely, comfortable, and has everything you’d need. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and private with a high fence surrounding it. We enjoyed spending time by the fire and the neighborhood is great. Our favorite part by far were Alec’s two lovely pups Molcajete and Lobita. They were absolute ANGELS and made us so happy- we hated leaving them. Alec was a great host- super communicative, friendly, and just what we needed. When we come back to Chicago, we’ll definitely stay with him again.

The house is decorated very warmly and is fully equipped. The host also thoughtfully prepared many little snacks. The check-in process was convenient, and communication with the host went smoothly. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely home! Clean, stylish and comfortable. We appreciated the close proximity to great restaurants such as Engine Coffee and Flo. I got in touch with my Polish roots at the Polish Museum of America down the block. They have an intact exhibition from the 1939 World’s Fair Polish Pavilion. Also visited Holy Trinity Church where all the services are in Polish. If you are interested in the rich history of this neighborhood you might check these places out.

Richard was an excellent host. He was responsive, friendly, had great local recommendations for food/things to do, and was always available if we needed anything. He also checked in to see how our stay was going and made sure we didn't need anything from him. The home is fantastic as well. It is clean, cozy, and has everything we needed to have a five-star stay. Overall, Richard went above and beyond, and I would recommend him as a host and his place to stay in if you are heading up to Chicago. It's also a quick and easy drive to the big city from this location!
