Newly converted hilltop Chapel

RachelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We’ve just come back from a lovely long weekend staying in Gina’s beautiful converted chapel. The property is very tastefully designed and felt very much like a suite in a luxury country hotel. There are stunning walks and rolling countryside from the doorstep and Berwick St John is a very pretty little village. It was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend with our dog and truly felt like a home from home that we hope to return to again.

Beautiful eco lodge with stunning rural views

NatashaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely incredible find this little lodge. We booked a last minute getaway as we'd had some sad news and this place really didn't disappoint. The hosts were sensational - even leaving us some lovely surprises of a freshly baked cake, local butter and milk and even a bottle of cava. The location is beautiful - a secluded hilltop spot with the most amazing views. Firepit and BBQ. Both our 1 year old and pup were welcome and we all had a wonderful time. They've literally thought of everything you could ever want and need for a little staycation. The bed is so comfortable - where are the bedding and linens from please?! And the compostable toilet is not a bother to use either. I don't think you'll find a better place to stay in Dorset - we simply didn't want to leave and truly can't wait to come back!

Quiet and spacious cottage near Tisbury

LucyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We booked a much needed getaway for a multi generational holiday, two of our party having ambulant mobility / access considerations. The stairs to the twin room in the roof were steep but manageable on crutches, the rest of the property was absolutely fine, level from unconstrained parking, small step to ground floor bedrooms and bathroom but not too high. Space inside was much more than the photos imply, and the multiple doors between living spaces made for some entertaining losing of eachother at first. Beds were really comfy, kitchen had everything needed and cake!, plenty of books, games, the piano, the barn with table tennis and snooker, badminton and space for boules outside. Hosts were perfect. We didn't feel the need to leave on the first day and had we not booked Longleat on our second we may only have strayed as far as the nearest pub and back. We live in the countryside but this was peaceful and dark even for us, a real sense of a homely timeless bubble in the world.

3-bed Thatched Cottage nr Salisbury & Stonehenge

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Until I came across Old Turnpike Cottage on the site I hadn’t come across the Nadder Valley before . It is a stunningly beautiful area with houses/cottages to envy in picturesque villages . Old Turnpike Cottage and Teffont Magna are included in this . You will not be disappointed , the cottage is well appointed and very stylish . It was a pleasure to stay there . The weather was warm enough to use the summer house in the early evening . There is lots to do in the area Tisbury and Shaftesbury for treat shoppng. The cottage had maps and helpful booklets with local walks . Recommended is Sunday lunch experience at Pythouse kitchen ( we drove to Tisbury) and did a circular walk using one of the guide booklets the cottage has . Another excellent pub for food is the Compasses Inn in Chicksgrove . We walked there - took approx an hour . All in all it was one of the best weekends away for our annual long weekends of 4 friends and this was due to Andy and his amazing cottage in the perfect area

Cranborne Chase

ArtemiyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What an amazing place - our large family had plenty of space to spread out. This was a perfect introduction for us Americans to the English countryside: peaceful, magical and serene. The walking path that takes you to the historic church and past the sheep is such a hidden treasure. Cottage was immaculate and well decorated.

The Coach House, Burcombe

JennyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The Coach House has everything you could want. It’s finished beautifully with everything you might need. Very comfortable and spacious and yet cosy at the same time. We had 6 adults together but never felt crowded. Having an outside area to sit and eat or listen to the birds was an added bonus. Tim was very prompt with responses and very helpful with local recommendations for places to eat or beautiful walks. I would thoroughly recommend - we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Swallow cottage. The surroundings were beautiful and it felt very peaceful and private. Frances was very friendly and kindly let us check out a little later since there were no other bookings that day. The fresh flowers were a nice added touch too!
