A fantastic place to stay, close to the town an easy walk to the pub but quiet and serene when you want to wind down. The hut was comfy and cosy well stocked with everything you could need. The double bed under the single makes for some entertainment when the person one the inside needs to get up in the night but 10/10 would definitely stay again!

We stayed over bank hol weekend. Anton and Penny were great hosts, food at the pub was lovely, anything we needed such as cutlery, cups, towels just had to pop round to the pub to ask. We loved our stay.

We loved everything. Luckily the weather was with us. Rachel is very responsive and welcoming host. Everything went smoothly. Hope we'll get back one day! Thank you!

Such a beautiful place to stay, we got to meet a very friendly cat, 3 dogs and two lovely deers (who love apples & carrots) Our hut was clean & tidy same as the shower room & toilet (shower was amazing) We didn't get to actually meet Ruth but her mum liz was amazing we would definitely stay again!!! The Mouse House, is great accommodation for two people. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay and it is warm and cosy . The outstanding feature of the property is its location, we parked the car when we arrived and never touched it until we left . The view from the cottage is fantastic looking straight across to Cat Bells , which is just over an hours walk from the front door to the summit. The Swinside pub is an 20 minute walk. If you’re into walking the fells of Newlands then this is prefect.

Had a lovely couple of nights here. Asked for recommendations for restaurant and takeaways before hand and both we chose were very good. Both Marcelle and Alan are very friendly, as are the dogs! mentioned we were staying for my husbands birthday and without asking banners were put up in the room. thank you. Will remember this place if we are ever in that area again.

We had a brilliant stay here - Julie was so helpful and welcoming and the hut itself is perfect. Everything was so clean and there were lots of little touches that made it feel so homely. Lovely surroundings and the hot tub is fantastic. The stay was just what we needed - we’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

Beautiful location in a peaceful valley overlooking sheep and cow field. Has everything you need and the hot tub is a massive bonus. Could not recommend it enough.

Had the best time staying in the pods. So peaceful and private. Pod was clean, tidy and had everything we needed! Good price as well, not too expensive which was amazing. Couldn’t fault it and will definitely be returning!

Had a lovely stay at the cabin. It was great and spacious. We loved the location and the calmness. The animals were a joy to watch. Stuart is a great host and the cafe was a great addition right on the farm. Overall a great holiday

A fantastic lodge. Very comfortable and located right next to the lake. The terrace is delightful to have drinks/ eat on and overlook a beautiful view. Kevin is a great host and kept us well informed.

What a fantastic place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, especially sitting on the patio, enjoying the view and listening to the birdsong. Jan made us feel very welcome and her thoughtful breakfast supplies were amazing. The shower was lovely, the bed very comfortable, we only wish we had booked for longer. Moffat is a beautiful town, everyone was very friendly and the museum is very interesting with some very knowledgeable volunteers. We liked being within walking distance of the town although parking was plentiful. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

Jo & Darren’s place was absolutely lovely! It was a very cosy little hut in a lovely part of Windermere, felt very private and it was so quiet. Jo was really flexible and accomodating to our needs and really quick to respond to messages which was great! We enjoyed our stay, 5-10 minute walk into Windermere proper and a very short drive to Bowness (5 min). Thanks again Jo!

We had a lovely short stay in the lakes at Hazels place. It was a perfect getaway, our only regret is that 2 nights wasn’t enough! The place itself was perfect for us and super clean. Would 100% recommend and also visiting Kendal itself for food, there were some great places for brunch and a Thai restaurant we absolutely loved - think this was called Bangkok 7! Thanks for having us :)

We loved the shepherds hut, it was so private with beautiful views, we had fabulous weather and breakfast outside admiring the views was lovely! The hut is very well thought out, using the space available so well, with plenty of underbed storage space. Bathroom was grand, lovely hot shower. Jessie was a great host, very responsive to questions. We’d thoroughly recommend the shepherd’s hut for a peaceful stay

We had a fantastic 3 night stay in one of Hannah’s pods with our 3 & 1 year olds. It was so peaceful waking up to the sound of the beck, the boys loved playing in the water. We saw all of the British summer weather including a thunder storm during our stay - it was so cosy listening to this from inside our pod. The pod is well insulated and has everything you could possibly need, all very clean and clever use of space. The TV even has Netflix etc if needed - however we did struggle to get the WiFi to work in our pod to use this. There is also BBQ facilities and a lovely communal outdoor seating area - although it we didn’t stay long enough to use these. The games hut was a welcome addition to keep the boys entertained during some of the wet spells. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend ☺️ the Queen’s Head pub is close by and we enjoyed a gorgeous meal here. The tearoom in Troutbeck is also a must visit!

Absolutely perfect long weekend at Peasecroft. The place is gorgeous and so well kitted out. We took a projector and had a movie night - the blinds are the perfect projector screen ;-). We bagged three Wainwrights, did a boat tour, tried most of the pubs in Coniston, had a spa day at Low Wood bay... perfect weekend and amazing accommodation. Couldn't recommend it highly enough! The pod was perfect for our stay in Coniston, being located in walking distance of the town and its lovely pubs. The pod had amazing views and had everything we needed. Mark was very welcoming and we’d recommend this stay to anyone.

We booked last minute as we needed a rest from driving. The pod was very nice and the views were lovely. We would of liked to stay longer but had to leave early for other commitments. Thank you

lovely place could do with a bit more privacy as house is looking over the hut
