Kid-friendly holiday rentals in City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality

The property was simply amazing. The rooms were big each with lovely ensuite bathrooms. It has a well appointed kitchen and a large dining room table that would sit 10 people very comfortably. An added bonus is the dining room table converts to a pool table. The area is extremely quiet away from the hussle and bustle of Johannesburg and superbly situated to get to the various golf courses we were playing as well as some great restaurants. It has all the facilities for entertaining outside including a swimming pool which would be amazing in the summer months, as well as a large garden. The house is kept spotless by housekeeping who came in every day (except Sunday) to clean and make up the rooms. Finally, I cannot say enough about our host Charmaine. Very friendly and responsive throughout the whole process. Thank you Charmaine, you were brilliant and we all thank you for letting us feel so at home!

This house is amazing!!! The fireplace room is like being in a fairytale! It’s so cool. The hosts are amazing and we would definitely stay here again!

Location couldn't be better — beautiful, quiet, safe neighbourhood. We were able to enjoy morning and evening walks. The home was perfect for a quiet, relaxing time. Beds and linens were spotless and pressed and the home was sparkling clean. It looked exactly as the photos portrayed. We enjoyed making breakfast in the kitchen and having afternoon tea in such a serene environment. The beds were super comfortable. Showers had very hot water and great water pressure. The best part was the property manager, Veronica. She was very responsive, helpful and kind. One of the bedroom heaters ran out of gas, and she was over in a flash to replace it. Same for the kitchen gas cylinder. She had the gas company install a new cylinder in no time. This woman is gold! I highly recommend this home and would definitely book it again. This place is faultless and Vernoica rocks!

Mariana is a kind and gracious hostess. Really great place. Comfortable in every way imaginable and definitely worth checking it out.

The only downside to our trip was not being able to extend our stay - a very beautiful home with lots of personality in a safe neighbourhood. We especially enjoyed the garden and it served as a great backdrop for photos. The rooms were large and each had its own special touch. Mini was very kind and Ezna, our caretaker was readily available to help with the tiny snags we had here and there, not to mention the housekeeping tasks she's available to assist with - please feel free to tip her.

We had a wonderful stay at The Minimalist and would like to thank you and Albert for an outstanding hospitality! We are definitely coming back!

The place exceeded our expectations. Really felt like home away from home. The space is truly amazing and the bed is just heavenly.

It was the perfect stay. The cottage was very comfortable and user friendly. Brigitte was our go to person. She was friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay again when next we visit the area.

When I come to Joburg I always stay at Bernadine's flat due to its proximity to Befordsquare Mall and the interstate! Her flat is in a really decent community with very diverse residents, not to mention covered parking!

Sonia and Dennis are great hosts and I would not hesitate to stay again. I was not lacking for anything in the flat and the location was close to amenities and very secure!

It was lovely staying at Ethel’s. I had all the privacy and peace I needed for the week I was there-a little writer’s paradise. I will definitely be back.

Great stay in a very safe and fun area. Walkable to many good restaurants and shops including grocery store and a pharmacy. Hosts were very responsive and accommodated our late check out request. Great set up for TV watching.
