Really fantastic little place in a stunning part of Scotland. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful despite our fleeting visit.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

Extremely pleasant week in Kendal and surrounding area using Cathy’s lovely accommodation as our base . Fully equipped , very comfortable , lovely decor and the bonus of private parking blended with some very fine weather all added into a perfect week for our family holiday get together. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to amenities within lovely surroundings…..

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Chris’s place was immaculately clean and well presented as described in the listing. It was perfect for a long weekend and is well located for exploring the western lakes. Chris was always quick to respond to questions and had plenty of helpful tips on the area.

Could not fault a thing about our stay at Park Hill Mews! The property was perfect, very comfortable, extremely clean, great amenities and a fabulous central location for visiting places. Stuart was an exceptional host, very response and very friendly. Would 100% recommend to anyone wishing to have a break here.Dogs loved the enclosed garden we will definitely book this place in the future.

I came here for my brothers 30th with the dogs and I couldn’t recommend it enough ideal central location and right next to a local walk for the dogs would definitely recommend and I will return

We had a lovely stay in Mark’s lovely quirky home! It was very comfortable, surprisingly spacious and full of character. It was a great base for us as we were meeting up with family from overseas. Would definitely recommend especially if you like peaceful out of the way places.

I had a fantastic stay at this house,The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, but not close to shops, restaurants .The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in and communication super easy. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches around the home that made it feel warm and inviting. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay on the edge of Cockermouth. The location could not be more perfect to explore all the lakes have to offer, with the convenience of parking / walks from the doorstep and the beauty and calmness of being based just outside of the hustle of Cockermouth. The property exceeded our expectations, being tastefully decorated, in immaculate condition and with loads of extra little details that made the stay comfortable and relaxing. We stayed with my parents and 1 year old and they really catered to our needs with a highchair / cot etc., whilst still being a luxury property with comfy beds, fluffy towels and all the kitchen amenities you could ask for. We had such a wonderful time, we have already enquired again for next year. Our hosts could not have been more responsive, accommodating and helpful in providing local suggestions for restaurants and walks etc. We would highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!

Had a lovely stay at Chapel Mews - the perfect base for roaming the hills of the north lakes. Very quiet, well furnished and peaceful. Most definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location is idyllic and very peaceful and there are many wonderful walks from the cottage so once there you don’t need to use the car. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable and the kitchen had the items we needed to make our stay easy. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Alex

Spacious airbnb that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Walkable distance into Cockermouth/shops. Great location for a hiking weekend in the Lake District. Clean, fully equipped kitchen and has everything you need to enjoy a lovely stay! On street parking can be a bit tricky to find if you have more than one car. Overall I would highly recommend staying here !

Great place all-round. Everything was just as described on the listing and Dornu, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. A great place to use as a base for your trip to the lakes :)

Thank you Adam for a truly wonderful stay at your amazing house. Communication with you was fantastic and the house is brilliant, really handy for walking in the park opposite and popping into town. The private parking was a real bonus too. The house was spotlessly clean and tidy, smelled gorgeous and the beds were the best we’ve ever slept in! So comfy with gorgeous bed linen and luxury pillows. The house has everything you could ever want from a stay and we can’t wait to return. Thank you for making us so welcome in your fantastic house.
