Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Colares

The pool house was a complete gem of a place. Nested in the most beautiful Portugal hills, our family had the most special and nurturing time. Private and peaceful- the pool was fresh, the room were perfect. Kate and Sebastian were quick to respond for recommendations. I feel lucky to have found this air bnb and have recommended the link already to close friends. Beautiful memories, thanks again!

I rented this house for my parents when they were in town for a visit -- it's a great space with an amazing view and they loved it. The kitchen and dining area was great to join them for dinner and if we had planned ahead more we definitely would've taken advantage of the bbq grill in the garden!

We are locals and rented Mariana's place while we put the finishing touches into our new home which was delayed. Mariana was extremely helpful and understanding with our shifting check in and check out requirements given constant changes with mover and builder schedules. Mariana was so friendly and responsive. She sent us wonderful information to make the most of the area. Since we live here we didn't need it, but anyone coming for a visit will get the best of the best of the local experience. The house was perfect. Great location, great distribution. Great light. The pool was refreshing fun. Everything better than in the pictures and the description. If we ever need to refer anyone to a place to stay in Colares, Mariana's place will be top of the list. Highly recommended....and I have stayed in many Airbnbs all over the world.

Very well designed place .. it’s a very quiet and private newly renovated house .. someone put a lot of thought into the architecture and design of every detail .. agent was very easy to communicate with .. everything was perfect

Great staying at Sabine’s property. I don’t usually like to travel to the same place twice, but just might need to with this one! It was just so comfortable and homey, and we had loads more yet to explore in the wider area. The property was exactly as described, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the fireplace was cozy in the evenings. We went in November, and had two days of pure sun, two more misty days, and one cloudy day. All perfect for hiking - which we did a lot of in the area. Great to hike over to Sintra way, or down to the many beaches. The town itself is quite simple, but has small grocery stores and a pharmacy. There is a restaurant Pensao Sisudo round the corner, which we got good takeout from. You’re never more than 10-20 min drive from all the other towns (incl. Sintra). Sabine also gave us loads of recommendations upon our arrival, incl. where to buy food, where to walk, restaurants, sights, etc. Highly recommend staying here!

This location was a hidden gem. The view is unmatched and the infinity pool was a bonus. It felt like a dream. Annemie was very welcoming and we loved the friendly cat! It definitely felt like our second home and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for their perfect getaway under the sun.

Super nice location and very sweet hostess! Apartment was neat and clean and looked even better than in the photos. Upon arrival, there was bread and fresh toppings and eggs ready. Gabriela offered to check out later as we had a wedding until late the night before, super sweet!

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Very nice accommodation with beautiful views. Had a super nice weekend with friends! Everything within walking distance and the apartment was clean.

Artur was an incredible host and we loved our stay at his beautiful home! He went above and beyond to provide recommendations, flexible check in and luggage storage options, and a thoughtful welcome gift for our group. Him and his family were proactive and responsive in communicating, which made our stay a breeze. The apartment is comfortable, clean, bright, large, and great for a group (especially with its beautiful patio). The location was convenient and walkable to many of the tourist sites, and accessible via metro and tram as well. I highly recommend Artur’s home for anyone hoping to explore Lisbon!

We had a wonderful stay at Paula’s charming apartment in Cascais! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen well-stocked, and we loved having a drink on the balcony in the evenings. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the beach, the marina, and plenty of great restaurants and cafés on your doorstep. Cascais is a lovely town, and this Airbnb made it even better. Our host was incredibly friendly and responsive, offering great local recommendations. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax by the coast while still being close to Lisbon. We'd definitely come back!

My partner and I started at Ricky and Diana’s for four nights and we had a lovely stay. They were very responsive and always available to answer any questions and queries. Check in was smooth and well described. The area itself of the place was well located and in close proximity to a number of restaurants and bars, as well as popular attractions such as the National Pantheon and Feira de Ladra. Our hosts did let us know beforehand of the festivities that took place each night so of course whilst it was noisy, we appreciated the heads up. We also really appreciated the port left to us and a bottle of wine which was a really nice touch. Thank you Ricky & Diana!

This place was so much nicer than we even expected! The balcony view is so nice, the inside of the apartment is very spacious (it was me, my partner and our nearly 2 year old son) and the location was perfect, near the beach and beautiful parks and cafes. Claudio was an excellent host, we are so grateful for this stay. He also had left us with some food/drinks which was lovely! Highly recommend and will stay again when visiting 😊

Excellent stay. The location was great - and the home was clean and spacious for all 5 of us (family, including 19mo old). The child-friendly toys and crib/high-chair were huge helps. The location was just around the corner from great shops and restaurants. And we hiked from the Airbnb to the top of the Pena Palace. We stayed for 2 nights, and I wish we had time to stay longer. Would highly recommend for groups that need 3 bedrooms in Sintra!

Very spacious and quiet , with stunning views! You feel at home right away. There is a small cafe/bakery just next door and we found it easy to walk (if you didn't want to drive) into town along the coastline which was beautiful! The Ribeira beach is very close and you can basically check the wave status from your bedroom. It was very windy when we were there, so it was difficult to sit on the patio, but the back patio is enclosed with a small table, great place to have breakfast and look at the ocean and country side. Highly recommend!

Luis & Beatriz are amazing hosts. The home was beautiful and so quiet and peaceful. The grounds were AMAZING and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our time there and will look forward to returning in the future. We highly recommend this property for those visiting the Terrugem/Sintra area. The Oak Cafe was wonderful for brunch and you must have dinner at least 1 night at Azenhas do Mar, for the food and views as well as Mercado Saloio located in Sintra for the nightly music and delicious food and good service. The spa in Cascais is amazing as well. All recommendations of Luis & Beatriz Other places we found were the Marina and shops in Cascais as well as a wonderful little eatery for brunch/ lunch called Mugs Brunch and Cafe in Pedregal. Amazing views and delicious food. Thanks Luis & Beatriz for making our first trip to Portugal amazing. Looking forward to returning.

A lovely home from home, very well located to surrounding towns, places of interest and beaches.

We loved this home- very convenient to Sintra and the beaches, wonderful cafe nearby, and charming comfortable home. Enjoyed the outdoor space for relaxing or dining. We would definitely stay again. Rosa was very kind and accommodating when our plans changed and we were able to book an additional night.

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations! This is the first Air BnB I have stayed in where the rooms are even nicer than the pics! We stayed here with our adult children for 8 days and absolutely loved it! The property is nicer than some 5 star resorts we have stayed in. The kitchen has anything you could possibly need and the bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and washcloths. Bedrooms were comfortable and quiet! Rui and Teresa greeted us upon arrival and were responsive anytime we had questions. There were restaurants within walking distance but also Ubers and Bolts were plentiful and inexpensive. I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Rui and Teresa!

Elsa is a wonderful Host, just like her incredible villa. From the reservation, through the arrival to our departure, we were accompanied with kindness and benevolence throughout this experience. This is a superb property for a group/ large family holiday. The pictures hardly do it justice and with the pool, padel court, bbq and pizza oven there is so much to entertain everyone during the stay. Elisa provided some great recommendations for the area and met us at the property for check in to ensure we settled in very quickly. The local beach at Magoito was only 8 mins drive away and food at Duna Mar was great so well worth a visit.
