The Eagles Nest *Waterfront 2 BR Apartment*

RobertRating, 5 stars9 months ago
My Wife and I stayed for 3 nights, what a beautiful scene to wake up to each morning. The Machias River attracts so much wildlife ( Bald Eagles, Osprey, seals, deer and lots of geese that made the Inn a landing strip) and we got to see that every day. Area restaurants are very good as well. We look forward to going back again next year.

Cozy Cottage surrounded by picturesque forest

AutumnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This place was the perfect dreamy cabin experience. The view and location really give this place its charm. Your view through the window from the loft bed is just gorgeous. Disclaimers for the faint of heart- there were a million ladybugs but the host did warn us beforehand that this is an old cabin and there would be bugs. We just bought a little hand vacuum from Walmart and sucked them up. There’s no bathroom, but honestly the outhouse is nice for what it is. If you’re gonna be using an outhouse, this one was maintained and clean. It’s an old place. Nothing new or remodeled about it- just your uncles hunting cabin type feel. I loved it. There was an incident where the water pump went out and the host was immediately responsive and gave us the option of relocating. Overall, a positive experience.

Treehouse Spinny Brook Overlook

ShilohRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Definitely follow the advice and try and get there during daylight hours, our trip took us there well past dark and we would have only have found the treehouse with the help of the camp host. I was initially concerned you would be too close to the campground but it’s far enough away that you wouldn’t even know it was there. The trail to the treehouse is all dirt, so probably avoid during rainy periods but that’s just nature for you.

Downeast Historic Home/Antique Shop

BenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed at the apartment just one night for work. Everything looks like the picture and was definitely similar to the listing. Only complaint I have is the heat pump was off when we arrived and was dirty. it definitely needed a good cleaning years ago. Stairs were a touch sketchy coming down with 4” of snow which a shovel by the door would have been ideal. Very close to Machias for dinner or whatever else you may need! All in all I’d stay there again without question for the money you can’t beat it! Thanks again !

Mary Adeline Cabin at Welch Farm

LeslieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Lisa’s cabin in Roque Bluffs. It was the perfect quiet stay for some R&R. The blueberry farm is beautiful and we hope to come back when they are ready for picking! We enjoyed hiking to the private beach and through the fields. Lisa gave great recommendations for food options also.

Beautiful Down East

JaniceRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Stephen was very cordial and proactive with contact. It was quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view. Stephen did many little extra things to make our stay comfortable. He put the light on, we arrived early evening and he put on the heat for us to take the chill off, as late September is past the typical travel season. He left nice home baked pastries for our morning. It was nice to have a welcoming host and he respected our privacy. My husband and I would recommend.

Lobsterman's Waterfront Cottage

MadisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My dad and I loved Robert’s place. The house was immaculate and fully stocked kitchen. Very comfortable beds and tons of seating around the house. Location was very peaceful and beautiful views, not too much to do in Jonesport though, we had to drive to Machias or Ellsworth for more restaurants, but we wanted a secluded rural experience. There is no AC, dishwasher, or laundry, but we didn’t need any of that and the windows open kept it plenty cool. Robert hooked us up with a local lobsterman and we got to have an incredible local tour out on the open water and catch our own lobsters! It was too windy for a fire but we enjoyed beachcombing. We loved our stay!

Private Large Log Home, 5 min From Machias

ChelseaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Had a very nice stay in Whitneyville. Was cute and spacious! It was tucked away just enough to feel privacy, but also being a quick drive to Machias. Enjoyed mornings and evenings on the porch! Zach was very quick with getting back to me when I reached out with a question. Had a great stay, would definitely come back!
