The place was great and Thierry was extremely responsive. We had asked him for a small favour since we wanted to leave our bags somewhere safe and Thierry wholeheartedly let us check in early.

We had a great stay at Vincent’s place. He met us there and was very friendly, showed us around and provided good local recommendations. We really liked the galette restaurant opposite the Tapestry. Thanks Vincent! It really is the perfect location to explore Bayeux and the main centre and the Tapestry are 5 minutes walk away, although the Tapestry shuts in September for renovation work. We will come again and do some cycling next time, it really is that nice a place to stay.

Beyond the description and photos, the accommodation surprises with high-quality details, differentiating decoration, a sublime panorama and a prime location for discovering the region. As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

Anthony is a really good host! He always responded quickly to my questions, both before and during the trip. The apartment was ideally located, within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. Everything was very clean and well-equipped!

Without a doubt, one of, if not THE best place we’ve stayed through AirBNB. Our hosts were wonderful and did a great job at translation with us. They were super-friendly and super-responsive. None of my family wanted to leave when our time was up. The quiet location and complete lack of tourists was very welcomed. This stay was exactly what we prefer and enjoy. We would very much like to come back, as there was so. Much more to see and do than what we had time for. OUTSTANDING HOSTS AND PLACE TO STAY!!!

Small, very charming house, renovated with great taste, with its small private garden. Very quiet neighborhood. Location for the car but otherwise space to park. Very good bedding, there is absolutely nothing missing in the house to have a very good stay. 10 min walk to the small port, ideal for a small aperitif in the evening, with shops and restaurants. People are welcoming and friendly. A Super U 5 minutes away by car, great for shopping. Very well located for visiting the landing beaches, close to Bayeux and Caen, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Mont Saint-Michel. Julien gave us very good advice for things not to miss in the area, thank you. Without knowing it, we arrived during the weekend of Pentecost, when the 81st anniversary of the landing was taking place in all the villages, with all these people dressed as Allied soldiers, the girls dressed in period costume, parades of jeeps, motorcycles, and tanks, things that we will never see again. Our stay was great.

We had a great weekend at Nicolas' cottage! The house is really spacious and very pleasant to live in. Nicolas came to welcome us and show us around the house. We really appreciated the little attention to our dog (bowl available and suggestion of walks!). We slept very well, in the quiet of the countryside. Thank you Nicolas for the kindness of his welcome!

Stayed here in May of 2025 with my wife and 2 children (7,10). This is the French countryside property you probably dream about when you plan your French vacation. It is beautiful, cozy, and tastefully decorated. The garden is one of the most beautiful I have seen and adds a whole new element to your stay. It is within easy walking distance to all of the sites and restaurants in Bayeux, and less than 30 mins drive from the D-Day sites. A couple items to consider - not negatives but just worth knowing: 1 - There are 2 bedrooms and 1 extra room with a small bed. 4 adults could stay here. The twin bed in the other room is q tad small for a large adult. The stairs to the second floor are a tad small and unwieldy. This was a slight stressor with our children staying in the upstairs room, would not recommend for anyone who would struggle with stairs. The downstairs bed can be arranged as 2 twins or a king. Note that the king is just the 2 twins pushed together with bedding.

The apartment is very cozy and well decorated. Accurate to photos. It has everything you need on site. The residence is very pretty and quiet. Marie Danielle is a very responsive and accommodating host. We had a great time.

We spent one perfect week at Mathieu’s place and had an absolutely terrific experience! If you’re looking for an apartment in Bayeux, this is where you want to stay, hands down. The location is perfectly situated for walking to shops, markets, and cafes in the old town center and is also centrally-located for exploring the Normandy area. The apartment is inviting, peaceful, and clean with a comfortable bed. We especially enjoy livable locations where we can hear the church bells ring, and this was no exception at Mathieu’s place since the cathedral is just down the street (with a stunning view from the family room window). The bells add to the ambiance and experience, and fear not for they don’t ring through the night so your sleep isn’t interrupted. Only good things to say about this place!
