Casa Quim de la Costera is the family home located in Abella de la Conca, a town in the Pallars Jussà region located in the steep foothills of the Sierra de Carreu, like a nest of eagles outside. Can Comella is integrated into the urban fabric of the town of Gavarra, a town that in the mid-twentieth century was linked to the municipality of Coll de Nargó. Until the beginning of the last century the house was inhabited. Despite its small size, the building's original construction elements make Can Comella a valuable example of the area's traditional architecture.
