Beachfront holiday rental in Cornwall

We borrowed buckets and spades (and trucks and diggers) from the collection in the shed and took the short walk down to the lovely sandy beach most days. My granddaughter had heaps of fun playing in the shallow pools and golden sand in the sun. There were bodyboards too, but she's a little little for that just yet. Nanny was usually to be found observing us from the comfort of the Cove Cafe and admiring the wonderful vista - St Ives Bay in the sunshine (which is also the view from the house itself). The bravest of us swam in the chilly sea and returned invigorated, eyes sparkling. Suki charged about with energy and enthusiasm, greeting every other dog on the beach. We highly recommend this place. Notes: It's a flat beach, so the sea is very close a high tide and a long way off at low tide. Eating out in Cornwall is expensive. The house has a well-equipped kitchen and there is a Lidl and M&S Food Hall nearby if you are minded to eat in. The train St Erth<->St Ives is a nice option.

So nice to arrive after a long journey to find the water hot with excellent shower facilities, a welcoming comfortable bed with good quality bedding. We were told it was dog friendly, so we were appreciative to find bowls, towel etc., should you forget. The location was ideal for exploring the North Coast and we made full use of our NT membership. Wonderful dog friendly beaches and eating establishments very accomodating. we particularly enjoyed Godrevy and Holywell Coves. ''Tap House'' in St Agnes is a must , great food reasonably priced , but make sure you book and allow time for parking.

Lovely apartment, clean, amazing views on the beach. Quiet and in a nice neighborhood. Recommendations for restaurants from the host have been really good. Best for day trips around Cornwall. We are already thinking about when we can make our next trip to Newquay. Thank you Alex&Arlene!

Fantastic stay. Beautiful apartment in a stunning location. Could tell a lot of time and thought had gone into ensuring you had everything you needed and loads of really helpful information. Jamie and Tara were wonderful hosts; just next door if you needed but gave you lots of privacy too. Very responsive and flexible with check in time which was super helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Quaint little coastal themed apartment full of amenities and all essentials to make trip stress free. Easily connected to local day trips and 10 mins to nearest small town with lots of food options. Friendly hosts welcomed us and gave great suggestions for things to do in local area - would recommend to friends & family

What an amazing home, amazing location, superb host- really quick to respond to my queries. Loved playing old LPs. Was a little nervous about sleeping in a day bed but was roomy and slept like a log. Absolutely stunning! spent a week here and it's the loveliest little spot, small but perfectly sized for 2 and a dog. Absolutely lovely host, left little treats for us on arrival and had recommendations in the area but also not intrusive. The cottage itself is perfect, so homey and had everything we could need. we used the log burner every evening while playing one of the board games provided and it was so cozy and nice. The area is absolutely wonderful, beautiful views, path right down to the beach, and so many lovely walks right of the door, we did the majority of our daily outings as a straight walk from the cottage and watched the sunset from the beach each night. the photos really do not do this place justice, it is truly absolutely stunning and we would LOVE to return !

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location. The apartment was exactly as described and looked in the photos. Immaculate, high quality finishes and appliances. Beds are super comfortable, with enough space in the apartment for 4 adults or family. Location is ideal to not use or need a car, as its located beachfront, next to restaurants, bars and the South West Coast Path for scenic walks. Darren was so easy to communicate with, giving recommendations, tips and quick response times. couldn't fault at all.

We loved our stay here. The apartment was perfect for us - a family of 4 with 2 teens. There is so much to do on the estate - the pool and leisure area were great for rainy days. It was amazing to be able to walk to the beach and enjoy the cafe as well as being able to hire SUPs and wetsuits. Melanie was a great host and was really flexible in letting us change our arrival day (twice!) as well as enabling an early check in. There's loads to do in the area. Highly recommended!

The flat was spotless clean and very well decorated. Perfect location for a walk into town and also a stroll to Gylly beach. The view from the window was a delight when opening the curtains in the morning. one thing to note is the flat is a top floor and there is no lift. we never used the Falmouth hotel for swimming or gym but we did find that the bar was a perfect place for a drink on the way out\way back. Would love to stay here again. Never had to contact Nicola during the stay due to no issue's, however we did receive regular updates from Nicola. perfect holiday thanks you Nicola.

This is our second stay at Atlantic View - and just as wonderful. Beautifully situated, with stunning views. A home from home - the space is very clean and well equipped. The holiday village is quiet, but with new facilities open which are lovely. Heated pool, bar and restuarant within walking distance.

Everything was as described by Anna, the Surf Shack was spotless and very well maintained. Anna's communication with us was brilliant since the beginning. The "welcome package" was a nice touch and the Surf Shack has everything you need for a lovely holiday. Essentially we used this place as a base to explore Cornwall, and even though the weather wasn't perfect with a few rainy and windy days, the truth is that we made the most of our time, always with something different to do and explore each day. The local mini-market and entertainment, the play areas and the beach also add extra value to this place. For us travelling with 2 kids, the Surf Shack was definitely a good choice and the kids didn't want to leave it! The only thing that could be improved are the bed mattresses, which could be more comfortable. Otherwise, nothing more to say except that we loved it. Thank you for having us!

Marcus's place was great for our visit to Cornwall. The apartment was very clean and in a nice building. Within walking distance to lots of restaurants and two beaches. When we got lost during check in Marcus was available over phone and he called us again later to make sure we got in okay. Very friendly!

This is the cleanest holiday rental we’ve ever stayed. Owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. Beautiful property. Wonderful area. Pool was lovely. Highly recommend. Tom is a gentleman. Thoughtful, kind, and he clearly has great taste for how to furnish a home in order to make it practical and comfortable for guests. Tom reached out to us ahead of our stay with a friendly welcome and clear instructions for how to find his place. He met us there at the agreed check-in time and showed us around, which was a nice, thoughtful touch that we both appreciated. He lives locally, and told us not to hesitate to give him a shout if we needed anything. We didn't need to though; everything we needed was right there, including a well equipped kitchen, and also a spacious bath and shower room with lashings of hot water. The location is perfect. Right on the water's edge. Stunning views from most rooms. I found it very relaxing, leaning against the garden wall with a cuppa, watching the Bodinnick chain ferry (which stops at bedtime and starts again when its time to get up). Its a five-minute walk into Fowey. Delightful. Highly recommended!

Firefly was absolutely perfect for me. Small but perfectly formed and beautifully presented in every way. It has super comfortable bed with gorgeous duvet, pillows and linen. Dina provided lovely products in the beautifully appointed shower room too . Firefly is in a great location, only minutes away from the beach and all that the village has to offer. Dina’s description of Firefly left me in no doubt what to expect and her communication was excellent. I would thoroughly and very happily recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Talland Cliff side beach house, we stayed for two nights with our two children and Labrador, the property was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed plus a few extra touches that added to our enjoyment, the family games and the hammock were a favourite for the children and sauna was an added luxury for us :) but without a doubt sitting on the decking and watching the sea was the most relaxing and wonderful thing for us to do! The beach is 5 minutes walk down the cliff side not too difficult but the climb back up may take a little longer but absolutely worth it for the trip down to the beach, there are a couple of coastal paths within a couple of miles of the property and a couple of small eateries close by for lunch with a view. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a gem! The upper beach house is a fantastic find with the most wonderful scenic view to look out to. The house is spacious, homely and full of all the amenities to feel home from home. The outdoor terrace is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the view of the beach. With just a one minute walk to the beach and costal path, the location was perfect. Gareth was a great host, responsive and clear instructions. A brilliant stay!!

The most beautiful getaway. The views over the meadow to the sea and St Michael’s Mount are incredible any time of the day and we loved spending time on the terrace. Perfect location for walking, sea swims and east to get into town and explore the Cornish coast. The decor is also amazing with so much attention to detail. Will be back!

Well What can I say that hasn’t been said in previous reviews, from the moment we arrived and was met by Rebecca who was absolutely lovely and showed us around her stunning property, it was purely magical the views are to die for and the accommodation itself was pure luxury, the welcome basket was such a treat and was definitely well received . Rebecca went the extra mile to celebrate our 30th anniversary . We made use of the family kyacks which was great fun and then just soaked up the views , we were so sad to leave if we could of stayed a few more nights we would have and will be definitely back now that we have found a new haven not too far from home.

This is a wonderful house in a great location with stunning views from the upstairs open-plan living room. It is light and airy, and both the indoor and outdoor living spaces are very well designed. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with great ovens, an excellent induction hob, huge fridges, lots of top quality pots and pans and plenty of crockery and utensils. The bedrooms are delightful, the beds are very comfortable and the showers (and the bath) are great. There is ample parking for 4 cars and it is an easy walk down to Porthmeor Beach and The Tate St Ives then on into the town, the harbour and the other beaches. Our party had a wonderful stay and we very much hope that we can return in the future!

If you are hesitating about booking Cliff Cottage in Portloe then please don’t even question it…just book it! By far the loveliest Air B n b we have had the privilege to stay in. Annie and Giovanni are perfect hosts. Charming, warm, always available and welcoming but never intrusive. Together they have created a little piece of heaven. The cottage is gorgeous and perfectly situated. The incomparable views, peace and tranquillity, creative interior design, attention to detail, thoughtful extras and the comfort and cleanliness of the cottage combine to create something truly magical. They have literally thought of everything. We felt instantly at home. My husband spent most of his time staring out of the window enjoying the views and we loved spending time in the garden and enjoying the sound of the waves. Loads to do in the local area. Stunning coastal walks in either direction and the village of Portloe captured our hearts. We truly did not want to leave.
