Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Cortland County

We have visited Skaneatles Lake for many years. Some family accommodations, some friends and some rentals. We have always enjoyed ourselves because we meet with old friends and family. As usual the lake was very clean and chilly. Weather was great. Lots of steps and steep grade to the beach area. But we had a friend who was able to borrow a golf cart. We used that to help access the beach and the neighborhood. The cottage was very nice, 3 stories with a wrap around deck. We spent a lot of time out on the deck. We are senior citizens so we had trouble figuring out the TV, but we did. Would recommend this place but plan on dealing with the steep grade.

We have been to Little York lake before and absolutely love it there. So, we were very excited to see this property. It was very lovely. The kitchen and bathrooms were pristine. The canoe and private dock were easy to access and we were able to enjoy the lake. The greatest part of the property was the fenced in yard which our energetic pups enjoyed running around in while we sat outside by the fire pit. The only thing which can be improved is if there was a guide book giving details about the property (we weren't sure where their shed was at first which has the canoe paddles). Otherwise, it was a great property and we were very happy to have spent time there. Our dogs didn't want to leave!

We had a great stay! The location is beautiful and the house was just as described. It was great having enough room to all stay in one place to celebrate my daughter graduating from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine. And, our dog was also allowed to come!

Very charming house with everything we needed. However the most amazing part of our stay was the lakefront. Such a special place!! Large grass area with many chairs, beautiful view, easy access to the lake and all the kayaks and SUPs we needed!

Surprisingly quiet given that the highway is fairly nearby. Syracuse, Cortland and Binghamton are all easy to get to. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances (we like to cook!) The lake is fun to explore and we had a lovely fire in the fire pit down by the lake. We played games (scrabble, pingpong!) when it was raining. We had a great time. Thanks Neil.

We flew in from Oklahoma for our son’s wedding. We had enough space for everyone to have their own space as well as 2 patios to relax and enjoy. Host never bothered us, she even accommodated the parking for my elderly mother. Sunrises on the front patio were amazing. Evening’s on the back patio was awesome. She had all the amenities we needed for our 14 month old grandson so we didn’t have to travel with it. Will keep in mind for our next trip out here.

we loved staying here with our 2 dogs. very clean and Julie thought of everything to provide in home. She responded very quickly to our inquiries and made sure everything was good. already booked for necmxt year!

I cannot write enough words to describe how beautiful and spacious the place is. I stayed 2 nights for my graduation with my family and we loved everything about the house. The house can definitely fit more than 10 people. It has everything such as board games, a pool, fire place etc to keep your family and friends entertained. 10/10 best airbnb!!

We were very happy with the accommodations. There is plenty of room for a family gathering. We had a pre-funeral gathering of 10 people from all over the country and were very comfortable. The hot tub was great. It was too early for the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. This would be an excellent retreat for a family of six for an extended stay in the summer or winter. A great location for a private getaway. Close to Syracuse (20 minutes) for entertainment trips.

This was a terrific stay. The hosts communication from beginning to end was as good as can be expected. The home was cozy and well appointed. The property was beautiful and peaceful. 5 stars, will recommend and return again. Thank you!

This home was absolutely perfect! Nestled in the forest of Binghamton, New York, it felt like a peaceful retreat while still offering all the modern comforts. The design of the house is stunning-clean, stylish, and thoughtfully laid out. Huge windows let in tons of natural light and beautiful views of the surrounding trees. Everything was spotless and well-equipped, from the cozy bedrooms to the sleek kitchen. It was the perfect mix of luxury and nature. What truly made our stay special was the kindness and responsiveness of the host. Salamon was incredibly welcoming and communicated everything clearly from start to finish, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. You can tell he really cares about his guests. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommend!

Joan and Leo are great hosts. The home and property are beautiful. Home is very spacious and unique. We had such a good time sitting out by the pool, walking the local trails, and just being able to spend quality time together as a family. All the books were fun to look at and read some. All the art work in the home inspired us to leave some of our own art for Joan and Leo.

Thank you, Brenda for sharing your wonderful home which made our trip even more special. With both our kids meeting up with us, the kitchen worked like a charm as they were very excited for a home cooked meal. Also, the description on the website matched very well, and it was clear how much the nightly rate would be beyond the two of us. We would certainly stay again.

I enjoy staying here as often as I can when I'm in the area. This is a wonderful place with nice neighbors below, the ladies are really nice.

We had such a wonderful weekend. Such a beautiful area and an amazing view. Love the pond the dogs had an amazing time. We loved it.

The Orchard was the perfect retreat for our family including 2 babies and a dog. Wonderfully scenic. We were in NY for a Syracuse University event which was 22 min by car and not far from the highway - one night we were able to find an uber without much difficulty. The kitchen was stocked with Kurig Pods (at least 20?) w/ sugar and complementary Beak and Skiff Cider. Bathrooms had soap, shampoo and cream rinse. Eddie was very communicative and checked in to make sure all was well. Grocery stores are not local (bring what you think you might need - there was a restaurant close by at golf course with fried bar menu - 1911 tasting room is local , but check the hours / days ( they closed at 7 pm ) Dining out will be a bit of a drive - minimum 15 minutes . All in all , it was a wonderful stay. Thank you !!

Place was great. Exactly as described. Teenage boys were so much happier here than in a hotel. Very clean and spacious. Great touches leaving us snacks and coffee. Plenty of amenities. Older house but very well maintained. Area isn’t the greatest but not unsafe, just a little run down. Host was extremely accommodating and responsive. Really showed care and pride in the property. Overall we are extremely happy with our decision to stay here.

Nancy’s Cortland place was perfect for my needs. Brought my 2 Goldendoodles. Cute cabin in a nice area. Asked Nancy about checking in early and she said no problem! Was also able to checkout a little later. Having that extra flexibility is so nice. Cortland is really cute and I would go back!

Rebecca's place was perfect to stay for my sisters graduation. perfect location for walking 2 blocks to downtown.

The host was amazing amd the place was beautiful and amazing to stay at.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at Robert's home on the lake. This is a relaxing and stunning property. The house itself is a lake house - it is an older structure with really unique architectural details. We really enjoyed the large wood burning fireplace and the panoramic views of the lake. We were happy to have our dog stay with us and enjoyed the outdoor furniture and dining table. Definitely a place that would be fabulous in the summer months. We hope to return!

We were very excited to find this rental! We were in town for a family reunion, and we needed more sleeping spaces. Brendan's rental fit our needs perfectly!! As his description states, it is a college student rental during the school year, and the rental does reflect that, but that made it perfect for us! It was clean, it had plenty of space, and we were able to comfortably accomodate two of the four families that were gathering. The location was fantastic for our needs, because we could walk between houses. Brendan was a wonderful host. He checked in with us several times before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed, and he responded quickly to the few minor questions I had. We would definitely stay here again if it is available during the next reunion!

We had a wonderful time. I really wish we had a boat because it would have been so easy to put the boat in and out across the street. We did visit a few waterfalls, hiked, swam and went to a great kids science center in Ithaca. The house had everything we needed. I loved the gazebo covering over the deck. It shaded it nicely and we could easily sit out there any time of the day. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you have a boat.

This apartment was a perfect location! The streets are walkable and there are many restaurants, coffee shops, etc nearby. Parking was right in front of the apartment. It was easy to access and check in. Full kitchen, large refrigerator, snacks and water in the fridge for us to enjoy. Towels and mattresses were nice quality. Roku TV was great so we could sign into our own Hulu/Netflix accounts. Rhonda, our contact, was extremely responsive and sweet. There were a few minor issues during our stay but she immediately offered to rectify. Nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. Note: As of July 2024 there is construction around the main streets in Cortland. Did not impact our stay other than Main Street is now one-way so it took a few extra minutes to wind around to get back to the apartment, but Waze helped us find our way each time. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in adorable Cortland. If we come back to the town, we would definitely stay here again!
