Holiday rentals with a patio in County Longford

Muirt’s place is wonderful. Clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a restful stay. Muirt was a fantastic host and very responsive. He really went above and beyond. He left us his umbrella to use in the rain and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us, which was a very nice touch. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend his place. Thank you!

This is a gem of an apartment up a few stairs inside. It was extremely clean, well laid out and everything looked brand new. Very comfortable bed and loads of hanging space. Gerry met us and showed us around the apartment and how things worked and he was extremely considerate. There is a large balcony with outdoor chairs and a table which we appreciated. We really recommend a stay here especially as it is a few minutes walk to the river with lovely walks alongside..

Irish cottage dream!! ... that is how I would describe Toddy's. I stayed in the Hideaway in the back and it was just like the pictures. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. A very comfortable bed, kitchenette and everything you need. The location is close enough to drive to Ballinagh (or a long walk) and Cavan Town, and private and peaceful. You wake up in the morning to gorgeous views and sheep in the next field. I also had a peek into the cottage as it wasn't booked and would love to stay there next time! Aishling was VERY responsive and proactive and appeared within the minute when I needed some help. Great job Aishling!

We came for the Samhain festival and it was the perfect spot. Between Robbie and his father we were immediately welcomed and given great recommendations and felt taken in. Once we arrived in the town we had a couple pubs give mediocre greetings but highly recommend you try the Lawrence. Between that pub and these hosts you’ll feel like you’ve lived in Athboy your whole life as part of the family. The place was clean, wonderfully peaceful, and the view looking out to an old castle wall over their farm is just a truly beautiful experience. We absolutely will return if we get to make it back out this way in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. Kevin was so accommodating as a host—really responsive, accommodating and helpful throughout. The apartment was lovely, clean, and in a great location. Everything was easy from check-in to check-out. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Well furnished in a contemporary style. Old world when you look out with lots of greenery and stone work. Off the road and very safe, peaceful environment. Near the Shannon and main town Carrick On Shannon, consequently boating.

We had a fantastic stay! The property was spacious both inside and out. Plenty of room for our kids and our dog to roam safety. Its very peaceful but still close to everything, only about 10km into carrick on shannon. House was spotless, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. Mairead left us a lovely welcome pack that was so thoughtful. Wifi was fast so kids were happy as no tv which honestly wouldn't have even be needed. I highly recommend this place for families, pet owners or anyone looking for a easy relaxing getaway. The host Mairead was so easy to communicate with. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again.

The house was cozy and modern. There was a pretty decorated Christmas tree. It was conveniently located to Longford town so close to shops and restaurants. Washer/dryer combo machine was very useful. Kevin was very proactive and stayed in touch throughout our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Catherine's place. Catherine's friend Miriam came over on the first morning (as we arrived in the middle of the night) to make sure we were well settled and showed us around. Miriam even gave us a lovely home baked (her mum's recipe) soda bread. Catherine kept checking we got to Ireland safely and then to the house. The house was really lovely and had everything we needed. All the kitchen appliances worked well and we didn't have any problems at all. Catherine also offered us a free late check-out which was really kind of her even if we dint need it as our flight was early afternoon.

Lovely stay. Linda and her mum were very nice and easy to communicate with. We had a late checkin and that was no problem. House is very nice, matches photos and a high standard all round. It’s on the estate of the castle which is lovely, very open and friendly, we are at the bar which was fab. Overall highly recommend.

Had a lovely week staying at Caroline’s place in Loch Gowna, the views from the house were amazing, easy walking distance to the town where you could find eating places and a shop and post office. The house it self was extremely comfortable, would definitely go back.

We had a fantastic experience and Sharon’s hospitality went way beyond our expectations and I would HIGHLY recommend taking the opportunity to spend time at the cottage. Sharon and her whole family are very welcoming, helpful and generous with their time and the nice extras including lovely fresh flowers, welcome pack etc.

my second stay [see my first review]...and the place is just as fabulous, today there is a display of house martins and swallows like I've never seen before in June! And it is possible to just step out and sit outside ....even if you can't walk far. Though if you can walk, boy there is a lot on the doorstep. Also would be just a couple of steps to grab a coffee and cake from her tearoom [!]

We enjoyed a magical four night stay at Shelaghs apartments. The apartment was very spacious, beautifully decorated and felt calm and inviting. Shelagh has considered a lot of little extras both in the kitchen and bathroom, which was above and beyond what is normal in an Airbnb. The high quality beds were much appreciated -great comfort! Shelagh is a warm, engaging and very helpful host. The local tips she offered led us to experiencing some very fun days, where we deeply experienced and connected to both the people and place in this ancient heart of Ireland. Highly recommend Shelaghs apartments, located in a beautiful, peaceful setting close to nature. We will return!

If you are looking for peace and quiet , privacy and country side , book this air bnb . The hosts are amazing. Our spot was perfect and romantic and a close to drive to spend a day to see places like athlone castle and Sean’s bar. They left us farm fresh eggs , bacon and homemade bread with jams to get our day started . Your day ends with a fireplace, a local pub just 5 minutes away and comfy bed . Highly recommend
