This airbnb is a very special sanctuary. The most delightful stay we’ve ever had in dozens and dozens of Airbnb stays. Athlone is a nice, clean city with a lot to offer, but we would return solely due to Paul and Lucia, and their beautiful home. Note some stairs and a slanted ceiling in part of the bathroom (carefully navigated 5'7" and 6'2"). Water pressure is great. Lots of light and amazing outdoor space as noted in listing. Listing photos are nice, but the real thing is fabulous beyond expectation!

the stay at Patrick's was perfect. the house is easy to find if you follow the directions and is a magnificent historic house full of charm surrounded by a beautiful garden. The room is clean, spacious, and has a comfortable bed. Guests have a kitchen all to themselves. Patrick is very friendly and ready to help if you need him. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. I recommend it and hope to be back.

This was our second time staying here for an overnight stop, and we're really glad we were able to stay again. Very reasonable price for 4 of us, had everything we needed. Great location, beautiful walk along the canal, accommodation was spacious and well-equipped and bed linen and towels spotlessly clean.
