Cabin holiday rentals in Crab Orchard Lake

I booked this last minute and arrived late, the hosts answered me at 8pm at night-my GPS had taken me somewhere totally different. They stayed on the phone, guided me to the property by me telling them landmarks which was really nice of them!! When I arrived, they checked back to make sure I’d gotten in and everything was alright. The cabin is beautiful! SO CLEAN!! It’s better than the pictures. The deck view is amazing, the hot tub was clean and perfect, the cabin has everything you’d need while you’re there. I would definitely book this again, and appreciate the thought and detail put into the property. Excellent job to the owners and staff!

Beautiful place! Second time I’ve stayed and they are always super friendly! They make sure you aren’t having any issues especially if there is any change in the weather.

Beautiful home, a great place to relax and enjoy time with family! Everything was exactly as described. The hosts went above and beyond with their home it was very cute and comfortable. They have lots of helpful information with things to do in the surrounding area.

This place was literally perfection! The home was so well thought out, and the small things that the host did really stood out. The location is perfect for a few days away from busy lives and just a slower pace of life. It’s the kind of place you want to tell everyone about but also keep it as your secret getaway. We will be back Hope around the fall. I can only imagine how stunning it is then!

Cute house for a couples getaway + Dog Friendly! Hot tub was relaxing, fits 2 people comfortably. Had the AC on when we arrived which was perfect! Bed was comfortable! Owner was very responsive before and during the stay. Friendly, polite and informative. Depending on boat size, might be hard to maneuver. Roads in neighborhood and going to boat launch are not the best. Great location for Ferns Clyffe State Park and Lake Egypt. We enjoyed both. note: no one stayed in the airbnb below us which was nice. Overall, I would stay there again.

My husband I stayed at Linda’s adorable place on a cross-country move. We had driven 13 hours when we arrived and maps delivered us easily. The cottage (best word I can use to describe) was clean and filled with adorable vintage artistic items. My exhausted husband was willing to head into Carbondale for pizza and it was an easy trip there and back (16 mins. Each way). This was a wonderful oasis for us on our journey.

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

This place was fantastic! It had everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings - we felt like we were on a retreat. And yet we were just 30 min from Carbondale where our daughter was graduating from SIU. Hoping to stay here again later in the summer.

Really enjoyed Gram's cabin. So peaceful and loved the front porch. Close to wineries and state parks. We visit this area multiple times a year. Went to Bald Knob Cross of Peace and got some great night photos. We felt right at home and will come back.

Spacious, well stocked and clean. Private setting but still close to town. Lots of activities such as the Wii, basketball hoop game and cornhole in the garage. The primary bed is a little firm and very high. Amazing deck overlooking the trees. Close to giant city state park and an easy drive to fern Clyffe. Was a great stay for a long weekend!

This was hands down the most favorable experience I’ve had with Airbnb. Not only were the location and amenities perfect, but Amanda is also an amazing host! This AirBnB may be plain on the outside, but it is beautiful on the inside! It looks very newly remodeled. What a joy to have a full size ironing board, washer and dryer, full size refrigerator, and a weather alert radio! Very nice shower, too. The layout was very convenient and the bed was comfortable. They even have a queen size sleeper sofa. I would highly recommend this AirBnB. I would definitely stay here again and hope that next time we will have time to enjoy all of the amenities including the fire pit.

FWIW, I was able to get my small car (Chevy Sonic) through most of the road/driveway. I couldn't for the last ~200 yards, which is fine b/c the description in the listing made me prepare to carry my stuff longer than that.

The Hilltop cabin was absolutely amazing! It was clean, cute, peaceful, and made us feel at home. It was exactly what we needed for our weekend get away. Lyle, the host, was extremely proactive, responded quickly, and was very friendly! My husband and I will definitely be back!

This was such a beautiful place to stay. Private, peaceful, gorgeous surroundings. The cabin itself was comfortable and cozy. The hosts were responsive. Truly a beautiful stay; we will be coming back next time we are in southern Illinois!

My friends and I stayed here over a long weekend for a wedding in Alto Pass. The house was a great size for our group with plenty of sleeping options and areas for us to hangout in both inside and outside. Overall a great find that was so close to the wedding venue and a few great wineries! Such a cute and cozy cabin in the woods.

We have stayed here for 3 years running now. The resort is located close to several of our favorite wineries. It is a wonderful secluded spot that is very quiet. The grounds surrounding the house are beautiful!

Larry's place was in great shape, easy to get in, clean and information provided about local sights and restaurants provided. Pictures and description were accurate. We would definitely book this rental again. The cottage was 7-8 miles from downtown Murpheysboro via small country roads. Not a complaint, just a fact. Kids, don't leave your GPS enabled device at home. Jerry
