"La Fortezza" villa with sea view

La Fortezza is a villa surrounded by greenery and the absolute quiet of its private park, among centuries-old olive trees, a grove of oaks and an orchard. It is located on a hill, just 6 km from the crystal clear sea of Polignano a Mare (BLUE FLAG SINCE 2008 and 5 LEGAMBIENTE SAILS) with its wonderful sea caves to discover by boat. The villa is made exclusively of stone, wood and glass, on two levels, and is characterized by the presence of one hectare of park, a large panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, and a solarium. Inside the park, to stay in perfect shape during your vacation at La Fortezza, a fully equipped gym is available to guests (free of charge) with an elliptical, bench and dumbbells, punching bag and gloves, and total body workout equipment. The wood-burning oven and barbecue are available for guests to prepare and enjoy pizzas, focaccias and outdoor grills. The panoramic terrace, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the expanse of olive trees, white farms, sky and sea, is about 40 square meters and is furnished with a large dining table in the shade of three holm oaks that "emerge" from the garden below: the wooden floor was built respecting the presence of the trees through the creation of the slots in correspondence with the trunks. Inside the park of La Fortezza you will find flowers and scents and many corners of paradise: rock seats where you can sit to read a book or listen to music, wooden sunbeds to sunbathe and enjoy the sunset breeze. You can pick seasonal fruits directly from the trees to enjoy their fantastic flavor. In the orchard, two rows of lavender to perfume your wardrobes in the city! The park is completely fenced with an electric gate, alarm system and private security service.

We had a relaxing time here. It is a nice, mediterranean styled apartment with lovely cats, garden, terrace, parking space. It has shared bathroom, kitchen and living room, but own big and private bedroom. ( The bedrooms are facing each other , and between them there is the living room ) We are used to eating salty breakfast in Hungary, but we enjoyed our sweet breakfasts every day. These are sweet cookies, fig pie, jam and egg. Our hosts helped us connecting shops, beaches, interesting places, also how to fuel the car there ( we realized we have to pay at a bancomat, choose the station number and then refuel the car and the bancomat automatically deducts the sum / in case this will be useful for someone ) It was a strategic point for us because we visited Alberobello, Locorotondo, Grotte di Castellana from here and also went to beaches. After our 4 nights here we went to Bari but we missed this silent place :) Thanks for this opportunity again!!!

Lucas place was a great find. From start to finish it was a great experience. The house itself is very pretty with one double room, a room with two small double beds and a small single room. The outside space is lovely with lots of places to sit either in the sun or shade. We had all our meals under the gazebo, which was lovely. Fantastic clean pool with plenty of loungers and a shaded area. Roberta gave us such a welcome reception and showed us around. She brought two of her kids to help with some English when required (she was better than she thought!). She gave us lots of recommendations in the area and helped to organise a taxi to Monopoli. The photos don’t do this lovely place justice. Highly recommend.

It was our first experience in a Trullo and it couldn't have been better, also because there were 2 of us but it is well equipped for a capacity of 5 adults. From check-in to check-out, everything was OK! Strategic location for visiting Polignano a Mare, Bari and Monopoli, as well as the Itria Valley. We appreciated the coolness of the bedroom with 35° outside, the healthy air and the quiet of the surrounding countryside. Another important gem: nearby (2 km), there is a restaurant with an exceptional quality/price ratio!!! Super Host Angela = TOP!!!👍👍
