When the Army shut the plant down thirty or so years ago, the Caddo Caboose was created with the car being made it into a unique weekend getaway. The Caboose is fully furnished 1 bedroom lodge with living, dining & bathroom areas as well as WiFi, Cable & DVD amenities. All you have to bring is the food you want to cook & your toiletries. We had a great stay at Cricket Hollow! The place was spotless and had plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable—everyone slept great. It’s a clean, cozy, and well-kept spot that’s perfect for a peaceful getaway at Caddo Lake. Highly recommend!

Great place for a quiet weekend getaway with the kids or with friends. We went out for mother's day weekend, 3 married couples. The home features plenty of seating area, a spacious and clean kitchen, a large game room with large sofa, a large indoor hot tub an out door fire pit, 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, a projector screen you can hook up to and amazing views from the back porch and dock down on the lake. We loved the home and our stay there. Cody was quick to respond each time I messaged him and made things very simple. Very enjoyable stay!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house is beautiful, well thought out design and very clean. The sleeping area is separate from gathering area and that worked wonderful for napping toddlers. The bathrooms are very spacious and well lit. The laundry room is great when you are staying for over a week with family. We even got to enjoy the pool since it hit 85* in February. Many hours spent in the hot tub Beds are awesome and very comfortable. The house is not at all cluttered and very tastefully decorated. The view of the lake was so peaceful and felt so private. Had a little luck fishing in the lake but mostly just enjoyed family time in this lovely home. GW is so kind and welcoming, he makes you fell like family. If we are ever in the area again we will see if this property is available to make more family memories.
