Family-friendly holiday rentals in Croyde

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

An idyllic location and we loved the airstream. Very comfortable bed and the place was well equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! A lovely stay for our little family, thanks!

We booked this for a special birthday for 3 generations of the family The house was beyond our expectations! So well equipped and very clean The views were absolutely amazing Our 3 grandsons loved it and especially the visit to feed the animals and were very excited to collect the eggs Samantha was a fabulous host and we would fully recommend her house and we would love to return again

The surroundings were lovely and a large enclosed garden was great for the dog and our 3 children. we had many a happy night in the hot tub. Lots of things for the kids to play with. We drove to all the local beaches would say most things are within an hour's drive and would recommend watermouth castle as a day out if you have kids!

Lovely bungalow, decorated to a high standard with luxury furnishings and fittings. The terrace and garden were immaculate and all in a beautiful setting. A short walk to the bus stop for saunton sands, croyde and ilfracombe. Tracey Jane was responsive and helpful.

Spacious and private accommodation, Claire was very responsive to messages, well equipped and thought out. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. Spotlessly clean and bright. Very well equipped modern kitchen. Comfortable lounge and bedrooms and a sunny conservatory for dining in. Our host Helen welcomed us and a gorgeous cream tea awaited us, together with homemade scones, jam and bread. Milk, butter and eggs also provided. Such attention to detail. The garden is pretty and dog safe. Helen even provided dog bowls and towels and a treat! We would highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Had a fantastic couple of days! Vicky was very helpful with our plans for the weekend; chatting through options and generously picking us up and dropping us off to really facilitate our weekend. She was incredibly flexible, friendly and generous- even lending us an extra pair of waterproof trousers! Super grateful! We will be back- maybe with the kids in the summer! Thank you for all your help.

We were really impressed with Owl Barn Cottage. Beautifully decorated with a modern feel. We went with our two children and the books and games inside the cottage were a lovely addition to have at hand. The games barn and go carts in the courtyard was fun for them too. The garden area to the cottage was lovely with peaceful views of the surrounding fields. We loved the animals that were on site and Alex kindly let us meet and feed them too. The pizza night that Alex also hosts where you can create your own pizza and cook in the outdoor pizza oven was also great. We would highly recommend staying here as the location was only a short distance to explore some lovely beaches in the Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde area.

A wonderful spot in North Devon! It’s a little sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the tourist spots. Great host and the accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The paddock was a huge bonus for us and dogs - I would highly recommend it!

Melinda's Cottage was warm and welcoming with plenty of room for 2 adults and dogs. We found the cottage surprisingly cool amidst a mini heatwave. Evenings are a delight with no light or noise pollution (sleepers paradise) The garden is a sun trap with some shade available and perfect for outside dining. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. A steep decent to Bucks Mills beach, however for a large sandy beach, Westwood Ho! is only a 10 minute drive away. Melinda's Cottage is surrounded by a woodland valley which has an abundance of nature to enjoy on your walks. To sum up a fantastic place to stay and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

it's our second stay at Fish Cottage, the kids love it, we love it. As we are originally from devon we can access all our favourite places on day trips due to the location so really works for us Cottage is spacious, interesting and really well equipped and comfortable for our family. will continue each year if we can !! thankyou

We loved our stay at Mill Cottage. The house was immaculate, cosy, full of character — and the mill wheel still works! There were lots of thoughtful touches, including tea, coffee, biscuits, and fresh milk in the fridge, which were especially welcome after a long journey. The location was great: just a 5-minute walk into the village, which had a good range of restaurants and takeaways. A supermarket was only a 5-minute drive away, and the beach just 10 minutes by car. Carole really was a super host. She went above and beyond to help with additional requirements due to my partner’s disability. Without hosts like Carole, we simply wouldn’t be able to go on holiday — we’re incredibly grateful. Thank you! We’d thoroughly recommend Mill Cottage, and it would be our first choice if we visit North Devon again.

A fabulous few days away in Park Cottage with friends. Really lovely cottage with very comfortable beds (and feather pillows which was a bonus for us) Perfect location and massively recommend Miss Fea’s for dinner. Would love to come back again. Matt, Linda, Jill and Andrew

We had a lovely five night stay at Peacock Cottage. We had a car rental and used it as a home base for hiking the Exmoor Coast potion of the South West Coast Path, Minehead to Combe Martin. It was the perfect location and we really enjoyed returning home to our cozy cottage after a long day of hiking. The property is charming and what we wanted, a true country cottage. Instructions were clear for everything from parking, garbage collection, recycling, shower, laundry, etc. Absolutely loved cooking on the Aga. The area is quiet and peaceful, directly near the river. The Rockford Inn pub across the street was lovely as well.

We loved our stay at the Hide (7 days). The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do: National Trust locations and long walks along the coastal path and beaches. There is enough said about the stairs, and yes, they are a challenge, but if you take it slowly, no worries. The garden and area are wonderful and private. The owners Katherine and Tino very friendly and welcoming. We can surely recommend the Hide.

One of the best place we have stayed, the location is perfect only 5/6 min of drive from Bude and due to being at the edge of Cornwall you can easily use this location to visit both Devon and Cornwall, the booking system for the swimming pool very easy to do, anyone with kids will probably love it even more due to the animals present only 1 min walk and the play area. The host are very responsive and helpful. will definitely come back

Really a lovely and beautifully clean caravan, with towels and bedding and all the cleaning supplies etc so no need to bring too much from home. Stunning location you fall in love with straight away. Quiet in winter but you feel safe.

Excellent location and hosts. Beautiful, Serene surroundings. Peaceful and quiet. Hosts Valerie and Tony were wonderful and so was their property. Beautifully set up and decorated, including some photographs taken by Tony himself. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stay. A bit far from the usual places, meaning you will need your own transportation. But well worth it. Look forward to staying there again

A lovely stay, the kids (5 & 3) absolutely loved the morning animal feed and games room. Mike and Julie were very friendly and helpful will trips out. We made use of the ample toddler equipment (including a bed guard). Enjoyed exploring the area even though the weather forgot it was summer, loved Clovelly and local beaches.

We really enjoyed staying here during February half term (family of 4 - kids 11 and 7). The weather was fairly terrible but it didn’t matter as we had use of the pool and my husband was happy fishing in the rain! Accommodation well equipped and clean and really warm. The pool is beautiful and the rota system is good meaning you know you have the pool to yourself for half the day, then the other cottage gets it for the other half (other than the cheeky people next door on Thursday morning who ignored the rota and went in anyway when it was our turn…) The cottage is so peaceful with beautiful countryside around and our dog loved the field and woods. We went to RHS Rosemoor and highly recommend The Globe at Beaford for good food and really friendly service. It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing few days away.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this forest chalet. The location is incredibly serene—nestled among trees with a stunning view of the sea, it truly felt like a peaceful escape from the stress of everyday life. The chalet itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It’s the perfect place to relax, read, or take quiet walks in nature. The host was also very responsive and welcoming, making the whole experience smooth and comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a calm, nature-filled retreat with the bonus of a beautiful sea view. We’re already looking forward to coming back! ⸻ Let me know if you’d like to tail
