Mary went above and beyond to accommodate The cabin is adorable with lots of nice touches, and the outdoors areas are simply amazing. The closet kitchen is well supplied . We actually cooked all but two meals during our week-long stay. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend "The Bear's Den" for your stay in the Franklin, NC area.

I had a great time at the tree house. It is a perfect and peaceful stay if you’re looking to unplug. The instructions to get there are clear and I was able to find it easy, even at night. I recommend preloading or saving the directions because you will lose service before you get to boxturtle rd.

Heather’s place was a great retreat! The cabin was well appointed with interesting decor and a comfortable bed. She had everything one needs for a restful stay from the snacks in the cupboard to the drinks in the fridge. The shower had good water pressure with hot water. Plenty of clean, soft towels were set out ready for you. The landscape had to be my favorite! She takes great pride in offering a variety of flowering plants in the front garden. The moss garden was my favorite! It reminded me of my childhood and playing in the woods. The moss was always my carpet in my fairy home.😁 There are lots of seating outside to accommodate your nature soaking. It rained when we were there and so we did not use the fire chimney but it was a nice feature given the right time. We definitely be back to the Locust Log Cabin whenever we want a quick getaway. Michael and Ally’s place was well appointed and peaceful. The indoor fireplace and outdoor deck was a plus. Location was near where we needed to be and close to downtown Franklin. Hosts were very accommodating from the beginning.

My husband & I very much enjoyed our stay at this Highlands mountain home. It was clean, comfortable, and watching the long-range mountain view sunset was the perfect way to end a day of hiking and exploration. The kitchen was well stocked, internet fast and dependable, and the living room a nice place to enjoy a movie or watch the clouds move across the mountains. The location was convenient to the entire Franklin, Highlands, Cashiers area which in the spring is a playground of wildflowers and waterfalls. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants to visit and the locals were all friendly. Thank you, Rudy & Adrienne, for sharing your lovely mountain home with us. We hope to return in the not-too-distant future!

Jen is a great host! She is highly responsive, anticipated our needs and made our stay absolutely wonderful. Everything is as advertised, and our stay was fantastic. The place has with hiker-themed photos, books, decorations. The place has easy access, close to town and lots to do there, and the area hiking is superb! We are amazed at Jen and Greg’s hiking adventures, very inspiring! Thank you for an excellent stay, we hope to return someday!

Great stay in Highlands! A few things to note - the mile drive after you get off the main road is gravel and there’s no service. There was also no Uber/Lyft but we were driving so no issues there. Just a couple things to plan for during your stay! Overall, amazing place, extremely clean, & great communication with host. Would 100% stay here again!
