Farmstay holiday rentals in Culpeper County

We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Barn Loft. Andrea and Steve are gracious hosts. Prior to our arrival, we received information to prepare for our stay. We received timely communication on the date of our arrival. The property is even better than the pictures display. We truly felt welcome and at home. The furnishings are cozy and the beds are so comfortable. Our family enjoyed meeting the hosts, exploring the property, and the opportunity to rest and to relax in such a beautiful scenic area. We appreciated the fact that our dog could accompany us on this trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to returning.

Great host, gorgeous views, and a quaint old home with history. Queen bed was very comfy and ac worked great! Host greeted us, answered any questions we had, provided local recommendations for our anniversary, and had even more amenities than we expected upon arrival. Would definitely come back if in the area again! My dogs loved the farm.

What an absolutely beautiful place. We loved waking up to a beautiful sunset and peaceful strolls around the property. All the communication and recommendations were wonderful and we wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a great location for a day trip in the area. It was terrific for Jim to have a kennel to keep our dog while we did non dog-friendly activities

We had a great retreat at John’s place. The farm was just the spot for a quiet weekend outside the city. John was a great host, thoughtful and responsive.

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

Narmada was a quiet, quaint place to stay. The best part were the amazing wine selections at the Narmada Winery right across the driveway and the amazing Indian food!

The perfect home for our extended family, as we were travelling for a family wedding. Robert was incredibly easy and kind with all communication, and his land is absolutely beautiful. The house is huge and well-maintained. The basement was the perfect hangout in the evening ... open concept with so many games and great seating. Great home and property! Robert was so kind ... allowed our son to fish in one of his ponds (which delighted our son!) and even mailed our daughter's teddy bear to us, as that was the one thing that we left. I would HIGHLY recommend this property and wish that all Airbnb hosts were like Robert. It was a great weekend & a great place to stay!

The place was exactly what we were looking for - remote, quiet, with beautiful surroundings, and a very-well equipped house, with tons of details and nice touches. Laura was always responsive, and provided clear instructions.

Beautiful, updated cabin that felt very private and within the woods, while not being too far from things to do as well as not difficult to locate. Very clean and well kept. Great directions and things to do provided by host. Hot tub was a great amenity as well. Excellent cabin with plenty of rooms for a weekend in the woods!

5 stars isn't enough. An awesome getaway within our stay in the area. Anita and Preston went above and beyond to be accommodating and make us feel at home from check in to out. Such fun, interesting, and down to earth people. We shared many pleasant conversations during our stay. Our toddler daughter also approves 1000000%. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

We came to Birgitt’s place to escape the city, and it was perfect. The cabin was very clean and cozy. It’s in a beautiful secluded spot, but within minutes of little towns, wineries/breweries, and Shenandoah National Park. Birgitt was extremely responsive and ensured a smooth check in. But best of all, it was so accommodating for our doggo with plenty of room for him to explore, bowls and towels. We will definitely return!

We had a WONDERFUL stay at Matt's beautiful property! The fishing was the highlight as the upper pond was in abundance of bass and bluegill and we all had a blast! Taking walks around the property, even enjoyed being on the porch during the rain. There was so much to do! Our dogs were in heaven being "farm puppies" for the weekend. What a wonderful way to spend Father's Day! We are hoping to book again in the fall to see the foliage!

What an awesome place. Such a beautiful cabin, so quiet, nicely decorated, good bed, coffee, tea, it's got everything you need! And then there is the added bonus of the bison! Steven is a great host, really helpful in where you can spot the bisons and how to get there. We have been to lots of places to sleep, but this one is definitely on our top 3!

Very relaxing. There were just 2 of us but I can see a family being very comfortable there. Loved all the friendly farm animals. Enjoyed being in a secluded place yet close to restaurants and civil war attractions. Would definitely stay again.

The host was so friendly and very responsive whenever I had any questions. The space was clean and the nature surrounding it was beautiful!

The Airbnb advertisement for the house does not adequately convey how nice this place actually is! Most of the items in the house: furniture, appliances, cookware, grill, bedding, towels, etc. are of high quality and excellent condition. The interior of the house is open, spacious and beautiful. It has high ceilings in most rooms, and a vaulted ceiling over the kitchen, dining room, family room, living room, and foyer. Barbara and Mike gave our girls a tour of the sheep farm and let them meet their dog. They were also responsive quick to take action whenever we had issues (like tripping a circuit breaker and running out of propane). For an additional charge of $75, they warmed up the pool for me twice because I am not a fan of water temps in the low 80s. The location is beautiful and secluded, but you can get to Shenandoah hiking trails in 20-30 minutes or Walmart/Safeway in 15 minutes. We loved our time here and would definitely stay at Peacefield again.

The place and the hostess were a dream come true to make my getaway weekend with the gals amazing before I got ready for my wedding. This place was amazing for my bridal get ready - the natural light and decor made my photos effortlessly beautiful. The birds chirping outside the windows at only the best times, the cute decor, privacy, and space was just what I needed. And the hostess is absolutely sweet. No regrets. Loved it!

Great place and outstanding service. Monique was an excellent host and always responsive. My kids enjoyed everything specially the horses. Everything was just as described and beyond expectations. The pool was very nice and also Stan was a great resource to help. I would recommend this place 100%. Thanks for the amazing experience.

This place was so wonderful! We had a men’s retreat and it was a perfect size and location for us. If you’re looking for a place to gather that is peaceful and quiet, but also has things to do this is the one! The WiFi is fast and the kitchen is big, and the side loft is great for a family who needs some extra space or privacy!

This is the best air bnb I’ve ever stayed at! Amber was an amazing host and she went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and welcome. From the parking instructions (we had a trailer to back in) to the full on gorgeous and delicious breakfast, we were just blown away by the hospitality. The space is thoughtfully curated and very comfy. There’s everything you need, but no clutter. It looks like someone took a picture out of a magazine and made the perfect air bnb. There’s privacy, 2 bedrooms, a private balcony, and private HUGE bathroom plus a shared living room space and dining room/kitchen. We were able to bring our dog and she had a huge yard to run around in. I would give this place 10 stars if I could…don’t pass up on this place!

Gorgeous property in quiet, peaceful setting. Boo was there to greet me on arrival and ensure I was oriented to the property. The huge bed is very comfortable. I really appreciated the skylight that opened for a cool evening breeze, stargazing in total comfort, and early morning birdsong. Will definitely return when I am in the area.
