Holiday rentals with breakfast in Cumberland County

My friend, Doris, and I enjoyed our stay at your place. We appreciated your quick responses when we were confused with knowing where to park and entering the building. We enjoyed talking with the other guests and felt welcomed and at home while there. We found everything we needed and were very satisfied.

Magnificent! The house is nearly 200 years old, but was still warm and draft-free when we stayed there over Christmas. Dylan is a great host. He was very communicative, and answered all our questions. It's also very clear that he loves the house, and has invested a lot of time and effort into making it a comfortable place to stay, while still retaining the character of the place. We are already looking forward to next Christmas!

Fascinating, historic building in walkable downtown Harrisburg. I feel like I got to absorb some of Harrisburg’s history & culture by staying at Emily’s place. The accommodations are very basic (“hostel vibes”), but the space is clean and reasonably quiet given the bustling location.

I loved staying here, everything was amazing. I got lucky and got one of the rooms that looked out over the river, and the room and bathroom were beautiful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious! Can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

I’ve stayed before with Phillip and Maria. This is my second stay here and I felt right at home! … any guest would feel the same….. they have all the amenities and are very responsive …. I’m glad I could stay here again!!

The Carlisle House is an amazing place to stay. Carolyn and Tim are so kind and considerate. The breakfasts are exceptional! There were so many special touches in the rooms that made our stay extra special. They were accommodating to our dietary needs and a space for a small family gathering. They were so generous and kind. We will definitely stay again!

Great last minute stay in Carlisle! The hosts were very accommodating even after booking on Christmas Eve and checking in on Christmas Day due to changes in travel plans. The house is full of history, and the breakfast is incredible. We raved about how good it was the whole drive home!

Loved this place. If I’m ever in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here. Staff was super friendly, location was top notch, and the breakfast was delicious. Oh and the room was phenomenal.

Carolyn's place is everything! Delicious breakfast, hot bath, comfy bed. I slept sooo good here. Love the house! Didn't have too much time to explore the surroundings but I definitely wanted to. Carolyn, along with her family and this inn are a blessing and simply charming. Will def be back to stay again 💓💓

What a delightful surprise! We arrived after a day of driving to the coziest place on earth. The keyless lock was perfect,parking was perfect and the room, there simply are no words. Breakfast was delicious. We will always return to the Carlisle House on our way to Maine. Thank you Carolyn for your outstanding hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at Carlisle House Bed & Breakfast! They were flexible with our change of check-in time, preparing for an extra guest, and the option to have breakfast in the room was fabulous for us.

Excellent host, I felt at home the moment I pulled in the driveway, Russell greeted me as I exited my vehicle and was as excited that I had arrived as I was to be there. The grounds are spectacular, the home is exquisite. The fresh prepared breakfasts are amazing. Accommodations were perfect, clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the morning conversations with the other guests and poolside chats as everyone was relaxing. Russell is a magnificent host and could not do enough to make my stay more pleasant and comfortable. Russell’s expertise really shows in his beautiful yard and manicured lawns . A remarkable stay.

City House is a beautifully renovated 100-year old home right on the riverfront—walkable to restaurants and more. The Westin mattress was very comfortable, as promised. We had a beautiful, comfortable bedroom and shower. Breakfasts were really good and it was so pleasant to eat in the dining room with all of the big windows. Our bedroom facing the river and main road had road noise, as expected, but the bedroom in back was quiet (we stayed two different nights in different rooms). I requested a small fan for white noise and the innkeeper made sure it was available. The upstairs coffee/snack/water bar was a great feature. Everything was great—the rooms, the common areas, the service, the comfort, the location. We would definitely stay here again!

My stay in the aquarium suite was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable bed. The room has central A/C and a very large private bathroom inside the suite. There is a coffee maker in the room with supplies right there including shampoo and soap. Dylan has a snack bar in the hall right outside the room in the hallway. He also had some breakfast bars, snacks, and indivdual juices in the fridge. He has other bedrooms for rent in the house, so ask him if you need other rooms. The outside gronds are wonderful. His eclectic style and artwork is seen throughout the many gardens and pool area. You can tell Dylan puts many ground-keeper hours in his place to make it beautiful without looking over groomed. It should be noted for anyone with mobility issues, that the outside areas are a bit uneven for walking around so you do need to be careful walking, Yet I really enjoyed that style of grounds. It makes for many Secret garden spots. Loved it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Mooreland Garden Inn. My sister and I were on a college tour of Pennsylvania and decided to splurge to make our trek more enjoyable. Dawn was an incredible host and totally set the tone by calling in advance to ask about our timing, food preferences, and what our travels were for. We arrived in the middle of a horrible rainstorm and were met with a lovely tour, and followed up with snacks, wine, and chatting. Dawn gave lovely recommendations for visiting Carlisle, fed us incredible food, the bed and room were so lovely, and we honestly can't wait to visit again. If you want to sleep in a comfortable, clean, beautiful room, eat lovely food, and feel taken care of, don't hesitate to book a room here. You won't regret it.

Robin and Kit operate a warm and inviting inn. Our room with its charming four poster bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. We highly recommend this historic I home.

Robin and Kit were wonderful hosts. They greeted us at the car upon arrival, welcomed us into the house, and made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond by providing local and delicious restaurant recommendations, assisting with lighting the fireplace in the room, and ensuring we had everything we needed. The room was everything we hoped for (though do note that the piano seems to be a decorative piece), and the property was beautiful and walkable. In the morning, they cooked and served us the most delicious breakfast which included coffee and fresh juice, melt in your mouth bacon, perfectly browned waffles, and the most delicate and flavorful vegetable quiche. Highly, highly(!) recommend this lovely BnB to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful getaway with really thoughtful hospitality.
