Family-friendly holiday rentals in Cumnor

Wow what a beautiful place! We booked this for a special wedding anniversary to celebrate with our close family. The gift of a bottle of wine and a cake was such a lovely touch. Thank you so much. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mayflower. The young children loved seeing the ducks and wildlife come right up to the deck, and the adults loved the hot tub. The robes were a lovely touch too. We had no problem finding the Mayflower and the instructions for checking in and the online guidebook were very useful. There is so much to do on the doorstep if you can drag yourself away from the lodge. It was such a peaceful and magical place and somewhere I would love to return to.

Beautiful location. Was exactly how described. The hot tub was amazing, being able to sit outdoors, look over the lake and up at the stars. Beds very comfortable. Lovely walks and places to eat. Would definitely return .

Stayed for 3 nights for a get together with old friends. Weather was lovely and so we sat straight by the lake with a beer and spit of fishing. The views are fantastic and the surroundings are beautiful. Inside the place was spotless with lots of Room even with 5 of us inside. All the amenities we required were on hand. Good WiFi meant we were all able to communicate without any issues. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Pure bliss! Walked over to the old boat house for a meal and drinks and then also walked to the Eliot arms for another great meal out. Didn’t want it to end. Would highly recommend this to either a family or group of friends. Awesome!

Everything was just perfect. Very easy checkin, clear instructions on how to use everything, beautifully furnished with great amenities, loved that we could buy local produce too. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be at one with nature and have a few days to switch off. We will definitely be back!!

The accommodation was superb! However, please note that we had booked it for a group of 8 men participating in the Ultra Challenge 53km charity walk. The group may have made a bit of noise, though we did our best to keep it to a minimum. We also tried to be mindful with the use of the hot tub.

Wish we could go back on a regular basis, as this was an amazing stay for our first time to the UK. Absolutely would recommend! Thank you for a lovely week!

Lizzy was a welcoming host, we felt right at home. Everything we needed was right there. The countryside was amazing, especially if you enjoy birdwatching. We spent time relaxing in the wonderful hot tub. What more could you want for a weekend break.

Had a fantastic few nights at Nicky’s cottage in the Cotswolds. It was a great base for exploring the area. Bed was really comfortable and the bread and wine that was left was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this lovely home.

Beautiful little three level cottage home right in the heart of Bourton on the Water. Full amenities, comfortable beds, Smart TV , dishwasher etc. Low ceilings on the ground floor as expected in a 17th century cottage so not an issue. Highly recommend Captains Cabin for any exploration of the Cotswolds

Faultless stay. Beautiful setting in the heart of the Cotswolds. Within 20 minutes of all the typical tourist attractions. The grounds themselves are beautifully done with great dedicated areas for dogs to roam in an enclosed field as well as smaller gardens attached to each cottage for them. The Padel courts were brilliant quality and the tennis courts were great also. Friendly staff on site and we hope to come back with a bigger group of friends in the future!

Unbeatable location in beautiful Chipping Campden with easily accessed on-site parking space. Well equipped kitchen, washing machine, fridge/freezer etc. plus great bathrooms with good shower pressure. Plentiful basic supplies as well! Super hot when we stayed so lovely to be able to have the French doors to the pretty courtyard open. Quiet for a high street location and very secure. We have stayed at Chipping Campden previously and it’s a fab location for touring the area.

We enjoyed a very peaceful stay, while husband and daughter were learning to sail at the nearby sailing club. The living room and bedrooms were comfortable, and I enjoyed sitting in the sunny garden. The cottage is tucked away very privately, but is a short walk from the main street of Lechlade. We enjoyed lunches at the New Inn.

A most pleasing cottage in a superb setting of an idealistic English village. Hosts excellent A cosy living area and spacious bedroom with adjoining dressing room leading to a superb bathroom with high quality curved glass shower cubical. In short the nicest private accommodation out of dozens we have enjoyed.

The Annexe at the house is easy to locate and once there the tranquility of the surroundings is very obvious. It is very relaxing after a long car journey. It was lovely to sit by the stream for our afternoon tea. The description and photographs of the outside areas do not really reflect the reality. Wonderful setting immaculately maintained. Inside the property is exceptionally clean and welcoming, both bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious with good storage. Jenny is friendly and very welcoming but was not at all intrusive making useful suggestions about places to eat mentioning local pubs and a highly rated local farm shop if required. Overall an excellent stay which is well worth repeating. We would absolutely recommend this property to others (but not too many as it would be nice to keep it to ourselves)

Had another great stay at the eco lodge. Ideally placed outside Wallingford in lovely countryside and convenient for the Ridgeway and associated places. The eco lodge is private with its own parking and despite the roasting weather the week we were there, it kept a comfortable temperature inside. lovely big bed, excellent space to relax and with it's own kitchen and bathroom and all the amenities you could want. Kunzi the owners friendly cat is on hand to meet and greet and the field adjacent the front of the lodge is alive with wildlife. It's a great place to relax or use as a base for exploration. Recommend Wallingford and Henley on Thames for exploration and the Ridgeway for great walking and scenic views.

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and location. Although not Sians issue, construction near the train station makes it difficult to get into town by taxi because you have to go around the city. However, if you don’t mind walking and bicycling, there are exceptional bike and walking paths right out to the house from Oxford. I’d stay again in a heart beat.

Beautiful peaceful spot in the Cotswold countryside. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with great walks straight from the door. The pool was such a fantastic asset and really added to our holiday.

Our stay was nothing short of magical. I can’t say enough about how amazing this location is. The estate and grounds are gorgeous - the pictures do not come anywhere close to doing it justice. The property is the original site of the mill with a stream running right through it. The main house looks like something out of a fairytale and the guest house where we stayed was lively as well. It is furnished and decorated with so much care it’s as if you are staying at a friends home unlike so many airbnb’s. Everything has been thought about from ample kitchen supplies, books, games, beautiful trays to put your jewelry and so much more. The bedding was wonderful and the space peaceful and quiet. Hugh even allowed my children to feed his herd of sheep multiple times and we so enjoyed watching the baby lambs frolic and play. We will absolutely be back in the future. If you are considering booking just do it you won’t regret it!

Rosalind was a very friendly and communicative host. She offered a range of breakfasts and recommended some lovely local walks. The property was in a fab location with lots of nice walks/pubs nearby.

We are all family of four, we really enjoyed our stay, the cottage is just as described both in the pictures and the listing details. the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, the perfect get away! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We all had a wonderful time and hope 5o be back soon!

We had a lovely time at Sarah's place. It's as the photos suggest and is in a very peaceful surrounding. The barn is next to Sarah's family home, but the way it is oriented means you get plenty of privacy. Thank you for letting us in to your home. We all had a lovely quality time with friends.

Fantastic stay in a fantastic place! The Loft was brilliant, everything we needed, private and clean. We made use of the pool, tennis court and gardens every day and enjoyed them all very much. Kingham is brilliantly located for so much in the Cotswolds, nothing more than a 25 minute drive. Owners were lovely and we will be back!

What a wonderful place to stay! We had a great weekend at stable cottage, location exactly as described, beautiful setting and really comfy beds! The amenities in the place were great and we really enjoyed the log fire in the evenings. Would definitely recommend!
