Owlwood's Cabin by the Brook

Owlwood is located a kilometer from the main road. The Cabin is a 20 minute walk from the parking area through the forest. There is minimal solar lighting, a cooler (no ice), a wood stove for heat and propane stove for cooking. There is a private outhouse next to the Cabin, a lovely babbling brook, and lots of woodland trails. Great for a romantic getaway or base for exploring South Shore . Not a party house.

Nestled in the woods, accessible year round. Very private & quiet. No hunting on this property but enjoy great fishing. Pizza & burger take-out just 10 min away. Lots of water close by for kayaking/canoeing. ATV trails just a few km away. Firewood supplied. Please bring your own drinking / wash water. Pets welcome, but Not on the furniture unless you’ve brought a cover. Never leave pets unattended. No running water. Outhouse/toilet facility. Bring your own disposable propane tank if BBQ’ing.

Would highly recommend these hosts. Every was exactly as described. The location was perfect. If you are looking for a little place in Bridgewater to call home base while you tour around the area this is exactly the spot you are looking for! David’s place is in a great location, spent time at Saltbox brewery, which is directly across the street. Walked to dinner at Mateus Bistro then live music at Eli + Trix. We drove to Lunenburg to the Beach Pea, where the food was amazing. Shopping is within walking distance, highly recommend.

We had a great stay at this Dome. It was quiet and peaceful and had everything you could want for a relaxing getaway. Close enough to Lunenburg and Mahone Bay to make little trips in super convenient. We would stay again for sure!
