Remote, Lake View Guest House

Do you need an escape from home? Our quaint one room studio cottage is located in our avocado grove with great beautiful views in the hills of De Luz. It has a king size bed, 3/4 bath, kitchenette with 10 cu ft fridge and stove (but no oven), gas BBQ, dining area and private deck ~ it sleeps up to two people. The cottage has it's own entrance and driveway just past the main drive. As you relax on the deck or from the house you will enjoy the panoramic views and a view of the lake. The cozy cottage is approx. 700 sq ft and is adjacent to our home on the property. We have "natural AC" (i.e. no AC but fans and lots of windows and doors). Also included is satellite TV and Wifi, and a continental breakfast usually consisting of bread for toast, fruits, coffee and tea. The cottage is a great destination for a "get away from it all" retreat, for hikers and for cyclists and motorcyclists that want to enjoy the back country roads and vistas. You will enjoy the gorgeous drive to our cottage with the windy, narrow tree lined roads. The Temecula farmers market is a popular destination on Saturdays, and Temecula has a fabulous selection of wineries for tastings and dining. In Fallbrook, there are a variety of great restaurants, cute shops including a retro candy store,and a popular art gallery as well. We are located close to the Santa Margarita River Trail which is a 6 mile loop trail located near Fallbrook, California that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is used for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. It is accessible year-round. The Santa Rosa Plateau is another fantastic hiking spot, with vernal pools and gorgeous rolling hills and panoramic views. We are located 7.5 miles (15 mins) from Fallbrook and we are 25 minutes from Temecula, and 45 - 50 minutes from Oceanside. In addition, we are also approx 1 hour from Downtown San Diego and the SD airport. Just an FYI, we are 15 minutes from the closest store in Fallbrook, and the roads to get here as mentioned before are windy but lovely. We also have 2 sweet indoor/outdoor kitties that might stop by for a visit but we do not allow them in the guesthouse. Just to note, living in a rural area we share our property with the local critters that pass through such as coyotes, raccoons, etc. In additions to the furry critters, we also have the insect type. We try not to use pesticides so you potentially could see a bug now and again. Note: due to the coronavirus, we are taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and at least a 3-day hiatus between stays. Weekly rental possible.

My place is close to the beach, Temecula wine country, and outdoor activities. You’ll love my place because of the serenity, the lush greenery, the privacy, and the amenities. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Due to COVID -19, I have arranged my calendar to allow 24 hours between guests. I also have purchased a ozone machine, which I run between stays. All hard surfaces are wiped down with 70% alcohol, floors steamed cleaned. All Linens washed with bleach.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This historic cabin built in 1920 was recently refurbished to its old charm with some modern upgrades for your comfort. The original owner of the Cabin was an author named Catherine Woods. She wrote the very first book on the history of Palomar Mountain; Teepee to Telescope. You'll find a copy in the cabin for a good read.Lots of natural light make this little cabin feel spacious, the windows throughout the cabin offer a beautiful forest view.

I wish I could give 10+ stars. Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Pamela and Neil were excellent hosts - there if you wanted to interact, available for any questions you may have and so happy to share their home. The kitchen is a dream!They work incredibly hard every day on making their AirBnB just shine. The backyard was a peaceful oasis filled with lovely plantings and fruit trees which you are encouraged to enjoy. Malachi and Sasha are the sweetest new additions and watching them romp made us smile. The accommodations were spacious, private, clean and comfortable, especially the bed which, combined with the quiet and dark, offered an extremely restful night sleep. Instructions were clear and concise plus everyday there was a quick check to make sure we had all we needed. We can’t wait to stay with Pamela and Neil on our next trip.

Lizzy’s place felt just like home! Lizzy and her husband are so welcoming, friendly, and respectful to provide privacy. I really enjoyed my time at Lizzy’s house it was extremely peaceful I totally recommend this get away- this is by far one of my favorites stays. Their backyard is beautiful!

Peaceful Healing Sanctuary

I flew myself and my partner into Fallbrook airfield, which is less than five minutes drive from the Airbnb. We were attending a wedding at the grand tradition estate, which was a 15 minute walk or a quick five minute drive. Host was able to pick up and drop off from Fallbrook Airport and grand traditional state for a reasonable fee. Accommodations were very clean. Bed was very comfortable, blackout curtains certainly worked. The local Indian and Italian restaurant recommended was very good. Kyra was an attentive host. Always say yes to the blue tea!!
