“Laura's space and hospitality exceeded all expectations. The place is a cozy studio in a beautiful area, minutes walking distance from the beach and surrounded by beautiful homes, good restaurants and a prime stretch of beach. There was parking available nearby and we were always able to find a spot on the street, which can be difficult in that area of Santa Monica. From before we even checked in, Laura was extremely proactive and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed and offering excellent recommendations for food, coffee, and attractions in the area. She was very accommodating in terms of our check-in/check-out schedule and was extremely friendly and courteous when we met her. I would definitely recommend her apartment to anyone / any couple looking for a beach getaway in a quiet yet accessible neighborhood. I would love to stay there again on my next visit. Thank you Laura!!!”

“Can't say enough about this place. Great location, great value, quirky style and clean. Between the $15/day credit at the roadhouse, the complimentary coffee, prosecco, and Fiji waters, you can't beat the value. You might think "Eh, diner food," but the food is actually GREAT and everything is fresh. The Dijon Plum Impossible burger was delicious and the staff is so sweet. Communication with Anthony was seamless, fast and courteous as ever. The beach/bike bath truly is right across the street and connects to downtown Santa Monica, so if you have an extra 30 minutes and are able to walk, no Uber needed. The room and furnishings are definitely modest and follow the "upcycled style" that the roadhouse does. It's certainly got the old beach motel vibe going, so don't expect a luxury experience, but the important thing is it's perfectly clean and suitable for sleeping. Chromecast was a plus. If you're not accustomed to the sound of light traffic (just passing cars, no horns or anything), since this is right on the PCH, ear plugs might be a good idea. The desk area in the room is sufficient if you need to take a call or get something quick done, but the chair is quite worn and caused mild back pain after working through the morning there. I should have just worked downstairs in the Roadhouse, but that thought occurred to me too late. I did that the following day instead and that was great. Would definitely stay again and continue to sing Patrick's praises to anyone who will listen!”
This private one-bedroom, one-bath guest suite with it's own entrance is an easy walk to State Beach, Palisades Park, the Promenade and great restaurants. Walk, cycle or scoot via the beach path or Ocean Avenue to the Pier or Venice.
“I've stayed at Leslie's before. She is a great communicator, easy to reach and gets you in without getting in your way. She treats you like an adult. She responds to all your questions, but if you don't have any, it feels very private, as though you are there by yourself. The location is great. These days there is a bit of construction going on around, but it didn't bother me. Leslie is a straight shooter with a cool little place. I especially enjoyed the neat little kitchen set up which allowed me to do some cooking. If you arrange yourself well, it feels like home.”
