Enjoy peace and space in a stylishly converted garage in Bosch en Duin

Welcome to Bosch en Duin in our former garage/barn which has been converted into a very luxurious and stylish home as of 1 September 2016. Ideal for 2 people, but also suitable for a family with 2 children or 4 friends. The house is completely insulated and is heated by underfloor heating and a wood stove. Through a window as large as the garage doors and on the other side windows up to the ridge and 3 large skylights it is a lovely bright room with beautiful views of the garden and forest of a total of 2800m. The Garage consists of one large room with a wooden unit in the middle. On one side of the unit is a beautiful, complete kitchen with 4 burners/combi oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer integrated in a hard stone countertop. On the other hand, there is a small but tasteful shower (thermostatic tap), toilet and sink with automatic tap and illuminated anti-condensation mirror. The unit offers spacious wardrobes and drawers and a staircase to the top. On the unit there is a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00m with a lovely sheep wool duvet of 2.00 x 2.00 m. For loungers with fear of heights, there is a spacious and comfortable sofa in the sitting room that changes into a double bed of 1.40 x 2.00 m with one movement. Next to this spacious corner sofa there is another loom chair to slide close to the stove. In the dining area there is a spacious wooden table with 4 chairs. Through the drawings and ceramic images of our son, outsider artist Hannes, the space gets a very personal and cheerful look. The house has a private, private and wonderfully sheltered terrace with comfortable garden chairs with cushions. In the forest there is a bench to enjoy nature in peace or to read a book. Finally, there is a hammock for a delicious afternoon nap. The house has wifi, with which you can watch via our Ziggo connection to the existing Ipad TV, also radio. There is no flat screen TV. We have a dog of our own, but we don't want a dog in the garage. Guests can use the entire property, but also the terrace, the forest and the driveway to park their car. We will be there when guests arrive and depart. We tell the guests about our house, the equipment and the area. It is forbidden to smoke in the house. We do not provide breakfast or other meals. Combine nature and culture in 'De Garage', on the estate Ter Wege in Bosch and Duin, surrounded by the forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and a short distance from Utrecht and Amersfoort with their many museums, restaurants and other nightlife. Guests can use our bikes. A bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away. Own transportation is of course always easier and faster. The guests can always reach us by phone for questions.

I had a wonderful stay at Jeanet's comfortable, well-equipped and quiet cottage. The space is newly renovated and super-clean, and it was clear that a lot of love and energy has gone into making the space as pleasant and functional as possible. The cottage has its own private garden, and is reached via a separate entrance. The Bussum-Zuid train station is an easy 5 min walk away, and has frequent and efficient train connections to Amsterdam and other nearby cities. I also want to mention the beautiful nature walks one can make nearby, which start just beyond the train station. I will certainly consider coming back here on my business trip!

We stayed with Esther and Bart for an extended weekend and were absolutely thrilled! Upon arrival, we felt super comfortable right away – the apartment is cozy, very clean and furnished with great attention to detail. The location was fantastic – very quiet and in a beautiful residential area, perfect for switching off and feeling good. At the same time, everything is easily accessible, which made the stay particularly pleasant. Check-in and check-out were super flexible and totally uncomplicated. Communication with the two was also consistently pleasant and very warm and uncomplicated. The hospitality was really great. We felt welcome from the start, and overall it was one of the best Airbnb experiences we've ever had. We would love to come back and can only recommend Esther and Bart's accommodation.

We had an amazing stay at Saskia’s beautiful home. The house is super fancy in a posh and peaceful area where we felt very safe even at night. Location was perfect; we visited Amsterdam, Utrecht, Keukenhof, Lisse, Giethoorn, Zaanse Schans, and Rotterdam easily by driving to park and ride stations. Supermarkets and petrol stations are nearby too. The house is so well equipped and cozy, and the pictures honestly do not do it justice. We loved the huge backyard, the trampoline, basketball hoop, and cozy nights with Netflix. It is very family friendly with a kids’ playroom and bicycles. The cuddly cats made it even homier! Saskia is a wonderful host, so kind, responsive, and even welcomed us with stroopwafels and chocolates. We truly felt at home and would absolutely LOVE to stay here again! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

We had a whole house to ourselves with a fantastic view. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Ilse was on site in person for questions. We were pleasantly surprised at breakfast. A very, very nice gesture! It is a wonderful place for cycling tours. It is an ideal place to stay longer! Gladly again😁

We stayed for a long weekend at Mariette and Cees' cabin. The town was nice and calm and the accommodation is clean and very charming. The hosts were warm and welcoming throughout our stay and provided us with recommendations and even bikes. We would definitely recommend it for a relaxing weekend in the countryside!
