Farmstay holiday rentals in Derry and Strabane

Beautiful peaceful place in the south of Londonderry! The hosts were very responsive throughout the stay!

Upon arrival we were met by a smiling Bernadette who proudly showed us around the beautiful converted barn! What a showplace it is! Spacious rooms with comfortable furniture, every thing we needed for a short visit to northern Ireland! From a beautiful welcome basket filled with goodies such as bread, jam, butter, milk, tea and coffee, a much needed washer and dryer for our by then well traveled clothes, comfortable beds and the best in my mind heated floors!!! Bernadettes husband came over and lit a peat fire for us that evening in the more than impressive huge brick fireplace, both were very gracious and friendly hosts! The location is perfect for touring around northern Ireland, being about a hour and a half to the giants causeway and all the other great scenic locations. Not too far away is a small grocery store that carries all the essentials and has a post office for those postcards! The view from the back sitting room is amazing, hills and sheep grazing! Enjoying coffee there on our final morning we were surprised when it started snowing, we were able to enjoy watching the snow storm roll in covering the hills with a blanket of white! All in all a wonderful place to stay!!

Just back from an amazing 2 night stay at the cottage with the 2 fur babies, gwyneth and keith was absolutely outstanding hosts! very helpful and fast replies… the 2 dogs absolutely loved the big garden and will sleep for about a week now!😂 the cottage was gorgeous and was very clean. The garden was huge and very private with outstanding views. The hot tub was a huge bonus, the hosts have absolutely thought of everything and really go above and beyond for the guests all the wee extra touches they do were fab we all really enjoyed our stay felt right at home, will definitely be back!

Lovely place. Pamela was friendly and helpful but not fussy. Whole family stayed 3 nights, everything was perfect. Slept like logs. Nice thoughtful touches like flexible timings and milk in the fridge, tea bags. Only problem is it was so comfortable we didn't want to leave! Thanks Pamela

David was very helpful and fun to converse with. he provided a great breakfast and shared his very nice house.

Beautiful location! My kids loved watching the sheep in the fields. Felt like “Ireland” vs staying in a city hotel. We had fun figuring out the oil stove and a few other things not common in the U.S. Mary left great instructions and was very kind. There were a few large spiders and a “farm smell” if the breeze was going a certain way but nothing you wouldn’t expect from being out in the country! Only 20 minutes from Derry but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. We were pleasantly surprised by the house- it was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

I loved this home, it's beautiful. Accommodation bigger than I expected, so plenty of room for all the family. Cosy with the wood burner stove lit in Winter and my dogs appreciated the under floor heating. They also enjoyed the large enclosed garden and a walk up the lane. My daughter also loved this place and wishes to return in the summer. She found the bed matress very comfy especially compared to her Uni halls bed. We both love the area for it's peaceful and on sunny day there is nowhere more beautiful for a holiday. Being up in the hills on a clear night you can see all the stars 🌟 Thank you Adrian for being our host, you are really kind, helpful and honest.

Fantastic , super responsive very friendly and down to earth real genuine guy and made you feel right at home when checking in, great atmosphere with beautiful scenery and an amazing view from the pod which was also very quiet and peaceful, from the drive up the lane to the pod everything was as described and neat and tidy and the pod was very clean and cozy, great value for the money a super host 10/10 will definitely be back

Sarah provided all we needed and was very friendly. Lovely area to sit outside when the weather co-operated! She answered any queries really promptly and was very approachable. Amenities were many and all in great condition. Lovely stay and even the dog came to say good-bye. What a lovely dog.

My sister's and I had a lovely two night stay in Kingarrow Cottage. The cottage was spotless, the beds so comfy and there was everything you need in the kitchen. There was an amazing welcome pack left also. The hot tub was much welcomed and well utilised by us all. Susan was an excellent host. She gave us recommendations on where to eat and where the best pubs are. Hennesseys was our choice and we had a brilliant night there. I would highly recommend a stay in Kingarrow cottage. Thank you Susan 😀

A fabulous stay at Drumcovitt for my partner's birthday. A real home from home which had everything we needed. Beautiful surroundings which we were able to make the most of due to the beautiful weather. Very comfortable beds meaning we all had a great sleep. The welcome tray was a lovely touch and milk in the fridge meant we could have a cuppa as soon as we arrived! The lovely garden and farm lanes were perfect for walking our dog who came with us. The welcome folder was a wealth of useful information about local places to visit, eat out at etc, especially for those who aren't local. The cherry on top for my son was the games room, he loved the table tennis! All in all everything was perfect, we wouldn't hesitate in coming back to Drumcovitt again.

What a place!! Spent 3 nights at Shauna’s beautiful home and it was just amazing!! Shauna was so friendly and helpful throughout! The beautiful basket full of goodies for us was such a lovely surprise and we made the best memories full of laughter in the most beautiful place!! The kids especially LOVED the hot tub and just had the best time playing outside too! Can’t wait to be back in August! Highly recommend 😊❤️

Robert was the very best host. So generous, helpful and always there should we need him. He even provided wood (plus plentiful supply in the barn) for the bedrooms which we have never had! So good, warm and cozy. The farm cottage was beautiful, so well equipped and rustic, we loved our stay and did not want to leave. Such a great location as well, really close to Derry and the coastline. Despite this was extremely quiet and private. Loved it was an eco cottage, the attention to detail was second to none. Very well loved cottage as built by the hosts and many enthusiastic volunteers. One of the best Air B&Bs you'll find, highly recommended.

Isabella is a very good host and spends time telling you about the cottage and the sorrounding area. The cottage is set in a peaceful area with plenty of parking .Farm animals can be seen in the nearby fields with hens around the garden. The cottage is very well furnished with plenty of bed clothes and towels.The kitchen has everthing you need with coffee tea milk butter etc provided. I would recommend the cottage for a peaceful getaway.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. It was an excellent experience on both occasions: spotlessly clean, with great amenities and located in a beautiful natural setting. Highly recommended.
