Monthly Rentals in Didworthy

Stayed at Addislade Farm for three days and absolutely loved it. The house is full of character features and very spacious. Great facilities, comfortable furniture and a lovely peaceful setting. We enjoyed breakfast outside in the garden. Our hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed hearing the history of the property. Lots of good recommendations for the local area too. Would highly recommend.

The house was a great place to spend a few days exploring the moor. Wendy was helpful and accommodating when i asked if i could store my bike there, and the option of a cute but lovely and hot bath was VERY welcome after a wet day cycling on the moor. The bed is epic, kitchen very well stocked with appliances, and all bits and bobs needed but no cooking ( edible) basics beyond salt and pepper. though i understand if people leaving random food stuffs behind could be annoying for owners. The nearby Coop and farm shop / deli is well stocked, and all car drivers just bring yr fav oils, spices, herbs, basics and condiments and stuff if you like cooking so you dont have to get the basics from scratch. Thanks Wendy for a wonderful stay.

Some things are different in the UK than the US, and Melanie and her husband were very helpful when I had questions. They even turned off my car lights when I left them on by accident. Grateful to have such a nice, quiet place to stay and such gracious hosts. It was very private. I felt safe there and had everything I needed. Restaurants were close by and nice area. Decor was very cute as well. Also plenty of warm water which was very nice!

Steve's place is very cosy, and he has taken care in providing several items to make your stay comfortable such as kitchen towels, cling film, toaster, dishwasher tablets, washing machine pods, etc. And the warm fireplace enhances the experience further. The location is quite ideal as you are close to the moors and also to the coast---there are many walks and hikes to enjoy. However, many roads in the area are quite narrow (single track), and the GPS underestimates the traveling time as it assumes one to be at 60mph, which is unrealistic, esp. with the fog. We really enjoyed our stay and Steve gave excellent recommendations for visits, e.g. the Avon dam---a great walk only 3.5 miles away.
