Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Dix

We have come to visit 3 times now and every time we have, it has always been relaxing and peaceful. We always enjoy fishing, bird watching, and walking the property with our dogs. It is a wonderful and special place. Thanks to Andrew and Sally for being great hosts and sharing their special home.

This is our second stay and we are already planning next year’s visit. Perfect location for our daily winery excursions. Comfy place with everything we need plus extras! We love it here. Thank you Deborah and Tim for providing this lovely, fully stocked home.

Absolutely breathtaking surroundings and view, quiet, peaceful, and everything described plus more! I'm ocd and usually leave anywhere I stay cleaner than I found it but I couldn't find anything that I could clean. It was spotless!!! We didn't want to leave. The hosts were amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've been on numerous airbnb trips and this was the most beautiful. Can't wait to come back! Thank you so much!

This is my second time staying at Evan’s place. It is a great setup for a getaway with friends or for a family - plenty of space to hang out, but also nice bedrooms for resting. We were in town for Cornell’s reunion and it only took us about 10-15 minutes to get to campus each time. Evan was also super helpful with the EV charger and answering our questions.

Daura’s home is in a beautiful natural setting and offers many amenities. You feel like you are far from downtown Ithaca-but you aren’t. 100% recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was very comfortable and the hot tub, fire pit, and deck/porch were enjoyed despite the weather. When we return to the Finger Lakes we will definitely consider staying in this home again!

We had the most incredible stay at the beautifully maintained and thoughtfully appointed Vacatella. The space was spotless, spacious, and filled with little touches that elevated the experience. As a couple who loves to cook, we were thrilled to find such a fully equipped space - sourcing fresh, local meats and produce from nearby farms and markets. We were just minutes from fantastic restaurants, world-class wineries, and a range of water activities, yet it still felt like a peaceful retreat perfect for relaxing and unwinding. As a couple traveling with our dog, we truly appreciated how pet-friendly the space was without sacrificing an ounce of comfort or charm. Our dog was just as happy as we were, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and sunny outdoor spaces. Highly recommend for food lovers, pet parents, and anyone looking for a serene and delicious escape! Vacatella strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, and we can’t wait to return.

What an excellent and memorable experience , you just walked to someone house and instantly you felt like its your own house . Period . Six.grown up familly (Me and my wife. my son ,my daughter , my sister and my sister-in-law) went to my other daughter graduation at Itheca Cornell university. Originally I booked for 3 days and letter requested one more day since we had a flight rescheduled . We are from California and had a long travel day to get there . Got my rental Van and drove for about 45 minutes to the Airbnb. we got there at night , parked the van by the garage, designated area amd walked to the house with our carry on, This is the crazy part , as if we have lived in the house before , out of those two room downstairs me and my wife walked to the master bedroom, my son in the other bed room . My daughter went upstairs and got her bedroom , and my sister and sister-in-law got the other bigger room(like guest room) . ENOUGH SUPPLIES ,ENOUGH ROOMS, GREAT HOST.

This was a terrific stay. The hosts communication from beginning to end was as good as can be expected. The home was cozy and well appointed. The property was beautiful and peaceful. 5 stars, will recommend and return again. Thank you!

Neil's place was the perfect spot for a family reunion. The house was located within walking distance of local restaurants and shops (or a very short drive) and had a nature walking trail just down the street. Neil clearly put great care into making the home comfortable for guests. It was well stocked and appointed. When we cooked dinner our last evening, there were sufficient plates and cooking supplies - a peeler, wine opener, etc. When it rained, we enjoyed the pool. We enjoyed the large dining table with a sufficient number of chairs (lots of cards games). There were plenty of rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. The washer and dryer worked great and he provided the detergent. Will definitely be looking to book Neil's place in the future!

This was our first AirBNB experience, and JoAnn explained everything, answered all our questions, and was quick to stay in touch and help with whatever was needed. The house and property are gorgeous! It was perfect for our family vacation. The house is well-equipped and spacious, with a huge, lovely porch. If you're visiting the Sayre/Elmira area, we can highly recommend this beautiful home.

This is my families second stay at Bree’s beautiful home for the Christmas week. The family gathers from all different cities and such a perfect spot to come together ! Cozy and spacious , kitchen is well supplied and the views are spectacular. We were so happy to have a white Christmas this year and 6 fox sightings in the yard!! Highly recommend!! Haven’t stayed for the summer season but I can imagine with the pool and hot tub and lake use opportunities it would amazing. Thanks again Tom

Our stay in Auburn was fantastic! Beautiful older home that was comfortably renovated and well kept. Unbeatable location right near downtown.

This was our second time now staying at Sherrys beautiful cabin. We love it here and we can’t wait to come back again soon. We are making this a tradition in our family coming to this amazing property. We had the most peaceful and wonderful weekend here and our dogs absolutely loved being off leash, exploring 200 private acres of land and swimming in the gorgeous pond. Thank you for having us and we can’t wait to come back.

The Orchard was the perfect retreat for our family including 2 babies and a dog. Wonderfully scenic. We were in NY for a Syracuse University event which was 22 min by car and not far from the highway - one night we were able to find an uber without much difficulty. The kitchen was stocked with Kurig Pods (at least 20?) w/ sugar and complementary Beak and Skiff Cider. Bathrooms had soap, shampoo and cream rinse. Eddie was very communicative and checked in to make sure all was well. Grocery stores are not local (bring what you think you might need - there was a restaurant close by at golf course with fried bar menu - 1911 tasting room is local , but check the hours / days ( they closed at 7 pm ) Dining out will be a bit of a drive - minimum 15 minutes . All in all , it was a wonderful stay. Thank you !!

We always enjoy staying at Charla's place when visiting my daughter at college. The cozy cottage is just that cozy and clean! Charla is so thoughtful with her welcoming gifts and always includes treats for the dogs as well. Her home is dog friendly and I strongly recommend staying here. It was perfect this past weekend for Cornell graduation! I would absolutely stay here when we are in the area again.

This is exactly as expected. It is a tent in the woods, no electricity, no cell service. We came prepared. The area is beautiful. The shared bathroom and shower are clean and well lit (but no outlets). Danielle was super accommodating and even brought us an additional blanket at night in the cold rain when it got colder than expected!

Great spot to camp without having to set up a camp site yourself. So many waterfalls within 10-20 minutes away.

We had a great stay and would recommend to anyone coming to the area. The house was clean and bright, set back from the road on a beautiful property. We saw deer every morning and evening! Great location for those looking to explore Watkins Glen and surrounding area.

Jacqueline’s quirky cabin was all that was hyped up to be. Off the beaten path but close enough to Walkins Glen. When me and my pups pulled in she was out feeding the goats so it was nice to meet her. (And the pups loved meeting all the goats …and so did I). It was a real cute place tucked out behind her barn. And because I told her I was coming with 2 dogs she had a napkin layed out with dog treats on it for my pups. That made me feel right at home. And the weather that night was going to be a little cool so she gave us a few more blankets incase we needed them. I would definitely recommend her place. And I would stay here again in the future.

What a lovely place!! It was so quiet and peaceful. I loved seeing some wildlife! Perfect for our little getaway in the woods.

Great spot! Parking is perfect and you’re right in town

This location was perfect for us on our trip to Watkins Glen State Park. I’d stay here again. It had everything we needed and we loved the restaurants within very short walking distance. The waterfall right at the end of the street (walk out the front door and look to the right and you’re looking right at it) was a nice surprise. Lovely little town. The building is definitely old, but was clean and really was very big. We enjoyed trying to guess what the loft was before. Loved the couch! One note: only one bedroom has a door. The bunk beds are in a room with couches that could be a family room or something and the master bedroom shares a wall with that room. Neither room has a door. This wasn’t a problem for us, but might be a dealbreaker for some groups. The master bath is beautiful. It has a sliding door but no lock which is a bit awkward because the door opens facing the big doorless walk in shower. Also not a problem for us, but just FYI. All in all it was a great stay!

Our stay at this Airbnb was perfect for our racing weekend! The house itself is a beautifully restored, comfortable retreat. The host was incredibly responsive, making communication a breeze from start to finish. The location couldn't be better; it's fantastically close to the racetrack, making our short trips incredibly efficient. Not to mention MINUTES from downtown Watkins Glen. A huge logistical advantage was the ample parking, which easily accommodated our race trailer and additional guest cars—a crucial factor that saved us stress. Inside, every detail was considered for guest comfort. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything you'd need to prepare a meal, and we especially appreciated the two coffee makers (a Nespresso and a Keurig), ensuring everyone's coffee preference was covered. The bathrooms were stocked with various thoughtful amenities. The home perfectly combined convenience, comfort, little luxuries, and other thoughtful touches. Highly recommend!
