House holiday rentals in Doddington

Lauren was a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble. My request for a birthday cake for one of our party was met with "I can arrange that for you and would you like candles and balloon decorations too." I got the brownie points but Lauren did all the work. The accommodation was beautiful on arrival and it bought on some very happy birthday tears. Spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard throughout, and it comes with a nice little private garden. The site is wonderful and has everything you could need, from a good breakfast to some lovely walks around fishing lakes. My girls had a wonderful long weekend at Laurens accommodation and,although not home yet, are already planning a return trip. Thanks again Lauren... 5*.

We had a wonderful stay at Fring Estate - the Market Square House, garden, pool and surrounding walks are beautiful. We were welcomed with the most delicious homemade brownies and Victoria and the team could not have been more accommodating - it was the perfect place to catch up with friends who live all over the UK - the bbq was on all weekend because we finally had some sun! We wouldn’t change a thing and can’t wait to bring the children and dog back next year. Thank you, this really is a hidden gem and we’re so pleased we’ve discovered it!

We were greeted well upon arrival. They showed and explained everything. We were also lucky to see beautiful peacocks on the territory. The house corresponds to the description and photos. There is a good sauna, a large pool and there is a passage from a small goubina to a large one. The jacuzzi is also large. Everything is clean and neat, we liked it, the child is delighted, we will definitely come again.🙃

I didn’t stay there myself, I booked the place for my co-workers coming over from London , but they said the place was very nice!

Jean is a great host- very welcoming, clear instructions and interesting local recommendations. Waterside Retreat is in a smashing location, right on the small lake, close to the country club. The lodge is spacious, clean and well stocked with everything you might need for your holidays and more. We also used the gym- it was well equipped, had a delicious Sunday roast at the country club and walked the dog along the nature trail and to Tydd St Giles- surroundings are very peaceful and beautiful. Uber-eats delivered to our lodge, no problem. Also, it was an easy 1 hour drive to Cambridge to soak up some culture. Overall a great Easter break, in a fabulous lodge.

This is a gorgeous cottage set in the middle of countryside (but easy to get out & about in the car). The kitchen is huge and with everything you need, with several options for outdoor dining to make the most of the lovely garden. Beds are comfy with decent sized rooms, but the standout attraction is of course the pool…heated so that we (with two young kids) could enjoy it for several hours each day of our stay without anyone getting bored or chilly. Lorna & Dean v friendly & helpful hosts. Highly recommend; only caveat - while we had a great weekend here with our toddler in tow, we were outdoors for most of the time; the cottage is decorated beautifully and has flagstone flooring throughout the downstairs which are not always compatible / relaxing with an energetic 2 year old.

What can I say about The Firs? The word luxury doesn't do it justice, as soon as we walked through the door we were in ore of the building and it's surroundings. The amenities were fantastic, our personal favourites being the balcony with sun lounges, hot tub and pool table! The house is also decorated with a stylish, luxurious The decor. The kitchen is a stand out feature The owners were reliable, had brilliant communication and even gave us a recommendation to a beautiful restaurant called Quayside Hotel! They couldn't do enough. The on site groundsman was also super friendly and even borrows us his tandem bike! We will be back next year!

Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful area. The house was spotless and even bigger than the photos show! It was perfect for 4 adults and my 16 month old daughter. Stuart sent great instructions through and loads of information about the local area, although we actually loved the house and grounds so much that we didn’t venture any further - we had a lovely few relaxing days in the house and walks around the woodland. My daughter even got to feed the goats. Will definitely come back, and will do a summer visit too as the pool looked beautiful.

We were five cousins who meet up annually. This was the first time we had used an Airbnb and West Farm Cottage was an excellent choice. The house and gardens were stunning. It was very clean throughout with comfy and clean beds. The open plan kitchen had plenty of crockery and glasses. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden. Booking and check-in was quick and efficient. The two downstairs ensuite bedrooms are ideal for anyone with mobility issues. We did wonder if a grab rail perhaps in one of the showers might be a good idea? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends. Many thanks David.

We had a lovely one-night stay at Dottie’s Place. The house was just the right size for the three of us and our dog, and it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. It’s located in a peaceful, quiet area with local shops close by, which made everything really convenient. The location was also perfect for the family event we were attending. We’d happily stay again—thank you for a great stay!

Was a comfortable and great place to stay. Clean and cosy

This is our second stay at Nicola's place and it feels a home from home. It's very clean, and modern throughout. It's easily walkable to the train station, Tesco, and town, as well as to lovely riverside walks. Nicola is an incredibly responsive host. She was flexible too, allowing us to drop off our bags early, whilst the cleaner was still cleaning, and messaging us as soon as the property was clean so we could go there a bit earlier than initially stated. The place is well cared for, with the gardener being there during our stay, and the window cleaner there during our previous stay. Would definitely recommend.

As soon as we saw the Garden House we relaxed straight away, it is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery and birds. Isabel’s handbook had lots of information and great instructions to walk around the estate and meet the sheep. The welcome pack was superb! Thankyou! We slept so well with the bird song waking us. We did venture out but it was great to get back to the comfort of the Garden house. I met Isabel who is a wonderful lady. We do hope to be back again Mary and David

We had a wonderful weekend at the old steam mill. Photos don’t do it justice - it’s even more spacious and beautiful in real life! Very comfortable and quiet, the hosts Mark and Celina accommodated us at very short notice and were lovely and responsive when needed. The garden was perfect to enjoy a drink and meals in the warm summer evenings and our dog loved exploring. It was everything we hoped for a countryside getaway not too far from London.

Great place to stay. We fitted a mini and fiat 500 on the drive (just!). The street was quiet and nice local walks to the shops if required, or the lake. Playground nearby too. There were 2 double rooms and 2 twins rooms.

Mark was a great host. The property was exactly what we needed for our trip. Plenty of space in the kitchen for cooking and socialising together, good wifi, and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommended. Thanks Mark!

The house was exactly as described, with a local store and pub within walking distance. It had all the necessary amenities and comfortable bedrooms. The instructions and communication from the hosts were clear and helpful. We had a comfortable stay in this house.
