Waterfront holiday rentals in Donegal

We had a positively amazing stay with Mona and Charles. A true gem. This is the place you will long to return. We arrived to a warm welcome from Mona who prepared fresh baked scones for us and fresh cut flowers in our room. The accommodation was very well stocked with fresh eggs, oats, granola, cold water, beer, soda, milk, a plethora of snacks, a loaf of fresh baked bread and 2 slices of carrot cake. The kitchen well stocked and in good working order if you want to prepare food. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom clean and well stocked with good shower pressure and enough hot water for 2 people. The host is mindful of the environment which we appreciated. The surroundings are so peaceful. We enjoyed playing with Addie and Bingo, their 2 lovely dogs, wandering the property and visiting the horses which roam free and were very friendly. The location is great and about a 25 minute drive to Slieve League, 30 minute to Silver Strand beach and 10 to Fintra. HIGHLY recommend this place .

Fantastic location and facilities!

We loved staying here, lovely views. The flat was well furnished and and a well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the balcony due to the weather but it would be have been great.

The Mall Chalet is a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful furnishings and a magnificent view. The hostess, Norita, is very friendly and helpful. The cookies, wine, sweets, and a rose upon arrival mark Norita as a wonderful host. Thank you very much, and we'd be happy to welcome you again.

Marina’s place has a beautiful view of the water and a private beach you can access down a walking path. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs and the place is spacious and very clean. We appreciated the local crisps, homemade cake & milk upon arrival. Marina is a lovely host and even offered to dry our clothes in her home after we were caught in a rainstorm the day before we were leaving. It is only 5 minutes from a market and town making it easy to grab a bite to eat. It is about 30 minutes from Slieve League and I believe it was about the same to Donegal. It is only 10 minutes from the secret waterfall. We found it to be a great location for exploring the Slieve League area and it is a great location if you plan to head north toward Ardara as well.

Outstanding view from the living room window, so modern, clean and spacious. Walking distance to the town and right facing the funfair and beach, the apartment was overall beautiful so clean and fresh, Ian was a lovely host and very easy to communicate with. Will definitely be recommending to others and will 100% be back thank you Ian for a wonderful stay!

The boathouse is a great accommodation with a beautiful view of the water. The house is spacious and cozy, we were five and we all were able to relax very well. Thank you very much!

The location is incredible, as beachfront as you can get, and a stunning little cove at that, ideal for the kids. The house is cosy and comfortable and everything was easy and friendly. We'd definitely go back and stay longer.

Mary and Barry made us very welcome into their well appointed home, and gave us lots of helpful suggestions of places to visit and where to shop and eat out. The house was immaculate, with all the ameneties we needed. We had a lovely time in the area and would defiinitely recommend this house for a comfortable stay in this corner of Donegal.

Coming from a disappointing rental experience at a home in Letterfrack, the Box House was a welcomed respite. Beautiful and modern design and interior decor. Quiet and private setting with views of Lough Swilly and Inch Island. Comfortable beds and pillows. Well equipped kitchen. We loved the large couch and flat screen tv with Netflix for relaxing after day trips to explore County Donegal and N. Ireland. Christine’s responsiveness to questions was amazingly fast!

The VIEW! We never got tired of it! This home was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. We felt right at home. There were plenty of spaces to relax, read a book, enjoy the fire, or watch a movie. We were steps away from Farren’s pub where you could grab a Guinness, or a sandwich, and they offer live music on the weekends. Angela was welcoming and responsive. A great experience! Thank you!

Fantastic location and very picturesque. The views from every window is just beautiful. The house is spacious and very comfortable and we have a fab week staying there and would definitely look forward to a return visit. The host was very friendly and responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Overall a fabulous stay in a wonderful house.

Beautiful apartment. Comfortable with a touch of glamour. Well equipped. Stunning location. Amazing views. Two great restaurants within walking distance: The Red Door & The Railway tavern. Shauna was a very good host. Helpful & friendly. Clear instructions and info eg directions, check in etc. Would happily stay again.

Great location and the apartment was perfect for our family of 3 adults and a child. Everything we needed was provided, and there was plenty space to move around. Stairs are quite steep so my father found them a little difficult but no problem for younger people! Convenience shop and diner downstairs and lots of free nearby parking.

Rory's apartment is in a great location, with beautiful views over the Foyle, looking accross to the benone beach. The location makes it a great place to tour Donegal or to take the ferry and tour the Causeway coast. I would highly recommend Rory's place and we will be returning shortly.

Rented both the upper and lower apartments. The upper has a really spacious kitchen and living areas. Much smaller in lower. Both have bedrooms on the street side so if youre a light sleeper bring earplugs if youre renting in season. Location could not be better for us. In the heart of all Dunfanaghy has to offer for pubs, shops, and restaurants. No trouble finding parking on the street. Comforting to have the surf shop staff available had a problem arisen (which it didnt). Both the bunk room above and twin room below would do well for children but would be definitely cramped for 2 full size men.

We were sorry to leave this beautiful view from Claire’s lovely apartment.Everything was clean, comfortable and well organised .There is so much to do and see in this lovely part of the world, including having peace and quiet.
