Cottage holiday rentals in Dorset

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

This place was beautiful and right on the water. We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed it. We had enough kayaks to have fun in the water. The location was very private and peaceful.

We had an amazing weekend getaway with 10 of our closest friends! The place was exactly as described — clean, spacious, and perfect for a group. The kitchen was well-equipped, the common areas were great for hanging out, and we really appreciated the little touches that made it feel welcoming. The host was responsive and made check-in super easy. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing group stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in the woods! It was clean, spacious, and incredibly peaceful — the perfect nature escape. The hot tub was amazing, and the game room was such a fun bonus. We also loved how cozy and comfortable the beds were, and the living room and big kitchen made it easy to relax and enjoy meals together. Just a heads-up: there are quite a few mosquitos, so be sure to bring some bug spray. Other than that, everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by nature!

What a sensational weekend get away. This cottage had it ALL! Brilliant decor, a kitchen that I would love to have in my own home! Such a well thought out layout and gathering areas for relaxing, eating and playing games. The decor….amazing. The games room, simply spectacular, and the downstairs tv area, just wonderful. The views were off the charts, beautiful, and we had the most incredible weekend. Erika was very accommodating and flexible with check in etc. The kitchen is well stocked and we had an exceptional weekend. Would rent again.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at this cottage. The lakefront property is beautiful, clean, and our favourite part was watching the gorgeous sunsets that could been seen from the terrace as well as from inside. Jesse was easy to reach and made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were having a good stay.

Beautiful cottage and also nice outdoor decoration and nice walk to river with gorgeous lights! We celebrate birthday with family so plenty space for 10 people, 2 kids and 2 infants! Also just mention there’s noise detector which host didn’t mention on description, inside you can be pretty loud only outside have to respect live neighborhood but it wasn’t issue for us to celebrate birthday! Was flexible check-out from Bethany which helps us! Airbnb host is very responsive which is nice, there were a couple messages I had to follow-up on.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The space was exactly as described. Bryan was incredibly responsive, making check-in smooth and the stay hassle-free. The cottage is by the lake with perfect views from the patio. We especially appreciated the little touches like fresh towels, the wine bottle, and a well stocked kitchen. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Susan is a great host, very responsive and accommodating. The home was fully equipped with everything you would find in your own home, as well everything was clean. Beautiful sunsets on the dock on a peaceful lake. Highly recommend renting the extra kayak and SUP boards.

Host allowed us to check in early way ahead of usual check in time which was great. Had an extra full day to enjoy the cabin right by the lake with private beach access and lots of gear provided by the host (Kajak, Kanu, Boat etc.). Cozy little campsite with fire pit and chairs. Great view of the lake and fall colours. Very quiet despite neighbours to the right and left. Vast selection of DVDs for movie night. Short car trip to supermarkets in Huntsville. Had a great time and would definitely recommend it. Easily accommodates 4 adults.

Lovely place and lovely hosts - across from a river and a park, impeccably clean, very comfortable, and some of the best and most welcoming communication ever. Huntsville is a dreamy place with lots of walking trails and restaurants. It was a beautiful late spring getaway.

Our stay at Wren Lake was amazing. The cottage is on a small hill that overlooks a cove in the lake. The dock was very spacious, which was perfect for relaxing and tanning outside. We loved all the water toys!!! The cottage itself was slightly smaller than we anticipated, but it made for a cozy and more comfortable stay. The spaces were very clean, and organized. We all particularly enjoyed the black out curtains located in each room! With Dorset less than 12 minutes away, it made our stay more convenient and easy. Michelle was very responsive and a very awesome host :) We would all recommend Michelles cottage, it is perfect for a quiet, and relaxing stay away with friends or family.

Patrick’s place was such a lovely treat for my group of friends. We were there for 4 nights and appreciated the flexible check in and check out. The inside was very clean and larger than expected. The beds were quite comfortable and the ceiling fans & portable fan were appreciated on the hotter days. As noted, the walk down to the water can be a bit steep but it’s not a very long walk so we had no issues. The dock itself doesn’t get much sun - at about 12:30pm it’s full shade. This wasn’t an issue for us but worth noting for those who expect to sun bathe. The lake itself was super peaceful and clean - not a very weedy lake at all and almost zero boat traffic. Kitchen is great. The fridge is massive. Having a dishwasher is a nice touch. Not a great selection of pans to use for cooking, only a medium size one that wasn’t completely destroyed. I’m sure that’s hard to manage with guests who may not treat them well. If you plan to cook a lot maybe bring one. We enjoyed our stay :)

This cottage was amazing. The place was entirely as described and the prior reviews were spot on. Roxana was very helpful, gave tons of recommendations and was very kind and responsive. Kitchen was well stocked, the beds were super comfortable, the AC was perfect and I literally can’t think of a single critique. A really nice touch with the s’mores station that my kid basically ate all of. We will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! Claudia’s home is warm, welcoming, and had everything we needed — plus thoughtful extras for us, which we really appreciated. The space was clean, spacious, and cozy, with plenty of room to relax. Being pet-friendly was a huge bonus for us (there is an additional pet cleaning fee, which is good to know ahead of time), and it was clear that Claudia had gone out of her way to make pets feel at home too. We loved spending time on the water using the kayaks and canoe, and enjoyed cozying up by the fire both nights of our stay. The neighbors were also very friendly, which added to the relaxed atmosphere. We’d absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway — especially if you're traveling with a dog!

Had a really lovely weekend at Mei and Sean’s cottage. The cottage is very cute, clean and was exactly as described in the listing. Mei and Sean were great hosts. They were very friendly, proactive and helpful. They provided very clear directions on how to get to the cottage which was appreciated. We were 2 families (9 people) and were very comfortable….plenty of space to stretch out. Loved the option to have open or covered patio, and made good use of the kayaks. We hope to visit again someday. Thanks again for a great long weekend!

We stayed at this cozy cottage for a book club weekend. The cottage was so tastefully decorated with an east coast flair that was very charming. The hot tub was spacious, and the cottage itself was immaculately clean and organized. Had everything that our group needed. Jennifer is an excellent host, friendly detail, oriented, and gets back to you very quickly would highly recommend this location.

Second time booking this cottage/lakehouse.. beautiful spot, nice and private, perfect for every kind of group get together, hosts keep the place very clean and is very replies very quickly with answers to every and any question! Worth it!

Our stay at the Eh Frame Haus was awesome. The cabin is beautiful and private and the property is spectacular. We loved the private dock, hot tub and big living room-was roomy for 4 of us, but definitely enough space for 6 or more. Janessa was a great host and check-in and everything was easy. Can’t recommend this place enough, we had a great time!

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Cottage is well maintained and the lake view is just surreal. Will definitely come back.
