Beachfront holiday rental in Dorset

We had a lovely stay at Seaside Cottage, very tastefully decorated, kitchen perfect for what we wanted, hot tub was great, we had a chilled weekend, thank you!

We just had such a wonderful week-long stay here!! I highly recommend the house for families visiting Lyme Regis. It’s a perfect size and location for a family holiday - we were three couples and our 4 month old baby, and we had everything we needed. Chris is a fabulous host; really responsive and he provided very clear instructions on finding and accessing the house. A bottle of local wine and biscuits were there for us when we arrived which was such a lovely touch! All three bedrooms are large, perfect for either couples or children sharing. The kitchen is big and bright with a lovely glass roof, its ideal for cooking big family meals. The sea views at the top of the garden are to die for, and it’s a beautiful spot for sundowners and a bbq! The house is in a great location as it’s a very short walk to the seafront and all the bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to coming back again!

Our second stay here and it won’t be our last ! Very spacious, extremely comfortable and sparkling clean.Everything thing works extremely well. Fab kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable furniture and easy to use TV. Enormous comfortable bed and very user friendly bathroom. Definitely not exclusively for people with access problems but for my husband in a mobility scooter it was perfect. Easy and safe parking and perfect location. Are you getting the vibes that we liked it ! We are looking forward to coming back ! 😀😀

We had such a wonderful time! The house was perfect for our stay, really spacious, comfortable and clean. The hot tub was great and the house was so close to the beach (less than 5 min walk). Aimee and Paul were really helpful and responsive when we had questions. I would highly recommend booking a stay here!

We had a really enjoyable stay. Caroline provided good instructions on how to get there and the guide book then had lots on information regarding the apartment and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

I have just enjoyed a four night stay at Grey Joy. A beautifully presented and perfectly located cosy house. It has everything you need including a lovely outside space. Grey Joy is a few foot steps from Chesil beach and next door to The Cove pub. I could not have been happier with this little Air B&B

Really lovely house - nicely decorated and very clean, with great facilities. The location is a tiny bit out of the main centre, near the harbour, but this just means it was quiet and the harbour is probably one of the nicest part of Weymouth anyway. Communication was great. There are no curtains in the bedrooms and the front of the house gets a lot of sun (which is lovely!) - so could be an issue for light sleepers.

We had such a relaxing day at the beach hut. It is extremely well maintained and Rachael has thought of everything. We are already thinking about when we can visit again!

We had such a fabulous time, the location is amazing and we enjoyed the beach, sea and fantastic sunsets. Lovely walks in both directions. Kids LOVED the swimming pool and slides. The Spar shop was handy. The caravan was the nicest one I’ve have stayed in. Shanice was really helpful and good communication and directions Thank you!!

We had such a lovely stay at Kate’s place. It was just what we needed…. Relaxing, peaceful with beautiful surroundings and views. The Chalet has been nicely decorated and has everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There are activities onsite and lots to do locally. We especially loved our visits to Portland Bill. We’d definitely come back another time. Thanks for a wonderful stay. :-)

A fantastic view and very clean comfortable accommodation.

We stayed for 3 nights. The holiday house was spacious enough to fit family of 4. Plenty of room to play for little ones. Very clean and well organised. The only improvement I could suggest would be to install slim dishwasher but it was perfect anyway. I would recommend and come back.

location was absolutely perfect for a relax and a decent walk everyday, we paddle boarded up the coast both ways and the scenery was stunning and finished most days with a swim in the pool. if you're after a close too everything place too stay this isn't the place for you but if you're looking for a break away from the world then this will tick all your boxes 🤗

The Beach House in Southbourne provided us with everything that we needed for a perfect family holiday. The house has a spectacular view of the sea, with SOBO Beach access only metres away. The houses itself provides all of the amenities any family could want to have an enjoyable stay. Bathroom to bedroom ratio, safe suitable parking, a swimming pool,a hot tub with sea views, mini golf, a games room and chill out zone, and much more. The property is ideally situated near local shops,cafes pubs and restaurants. The Beach House is perfectly located for day trips to Swanage, Corfe Castle,Sandbanks,Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding area. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to all of our enquiries. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

perfect little staycation! the place is huge, so clean, great pool for the evening when the weather isn't great. walking distance to beach and pubs and then a short drive to Bournemouth. Matt is a great host and would definitely recommend.

Having stayed several times in this area, we were pleased to find this apartment in easy walking distance to Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs beaches, and a short drive to Compton Acres and Canford Cliff shops. Everything was as expected from the description and photos. The apartment is light and spacious, the patio area is sunny and sheltered and within the owners' garden, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and serving meals. We had our own off-road parking space. This is particularly important in this area, as the roads closest to the harbour have quite high parking charges. Jenny was thorough in showing us around the place and answering our questions, Paul helped us with the central heating when we had an unexpected cold spell. As experienced hosts they have thought through the little 'extras' that people need to make them feel 'at home'.

The perfect, far from the madding crowds Jurassic coast retreat: a comfortable and well-equipped studio, thoughtful and friendly hosts, a beautiful garden with sea views, and walks (and cliff scrambles to the beach) aplenty. Not a place to pop in and out of… come with food and drink for the duration! Inspiring, soothing, restful - would definitely stay again.

Great accommodation Hosts provided very simple and straightforward directions and communication was friendly and caring whilst respecting privacy .

A slice of paradise! We loved, loved, loved our stay here. The views from the deck were spectacular and enjoyed taking these every day. We felt such a scene of peace and rejuvenation being here. The location can’t be beat if you are looking to visit Durdle Door/Lulworth Cove/Man O’ War. Nicky is extremely responsive to all messages and provided great recommendations. We hope we can stay here again in the future! 10 out of 10!!!

Lovely spacious apartment, everything you need. Close to the beach and other amenities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Sam was a great host, very attentive and polite!

We were delighted with everything about Andy’s beautiful home. It is warm and inviting, Andy graciously and generously offered an abundance of amenities, the location is unique and gorgeous, and it comfortably accommodated the four of us. The kitchen is well outfitted, the bed linens and towels of good quality, the layout of the house perfect for a family with two adult children, and Andy attended to every need one may have. I highly recommend this home!

The house has everything you need and in a great location. Walk out the door and cafes, shops, beach all walkable from the house. Make sure you have the correct directions and location of the parking space (the original info we were given was wrong, thankfully I checked beforehand as after a 9 hour drive finding you are at the wrong location would not have been ideal!) The actual parking space is behind the property, in a small courtyard, if you are not competent in parking your vehicle use one of the main car parks in Swanage. Lots to see and do in the area, we would certainly like to return and would book the property again.

This flat provided us with a perfect base for our walking holiday in Dorset. West Bay was a delight, lots of places to eat delicious seafood, and excellent breakfasts. We were there outside main holiday times and imagine it will get much busier. Flat was up 48 stairs, which kept us fit, but delightful clean modern space & we felt very comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommended.
