Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Dorsoduro, Venice

Beautiful view and right next to Farragona water/boat taxi. The hostess was wonderful- flexible with our check-in/out. Easy to communicate. The apartment is spacious and clean. We always felt safe. It is a more quiet area and that was just what I was hoping - peaceful and relaxing.

Chiara hat immer schnell geantwortet und ich war mir schon vor der Reise sicher, dass alles klappen wird. Sie hat uns herzlich empfangen und die Lage war nett und in der Nähe der Vaporetto-Station. Nachts war es schön ruhig, außerdem war es sauber. Es gab eine Bialetti, guten Kaffee, Toaster, alles prima.

We loved the place! Charming and well appointed and mostly perfect location. The roof terrace made it the most perfect!

Excelente alojamiento, muy buen ubicado, cerca de la estación del tren y cerca de los vaporeti. Me gustó la decoración y el equipamiento. Fuimos tres huéspedes y estuvimos muy cómodos

This stay makes 5 weeks we have spent in this Airbnb. I can honestly say there is nothing I would change about it. Everything you could need is provided and everything works like a charm. L appartement est très mignon parfait pour 4 personnes, et Barbara nous a donné de bons conseils pour trouver de bons restaurants et autres... Je recommande vivement et reviendrai si l'occasion se présente.

My family absolutely loved our stay here! Valentina & Andrea were amazing hosts. They were so kind and attentive and helped us with everything we needed and more. The place exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and well equipped. We got to start our mornings with a tasty espresso. The decor was beautiful and the view was just stunning! Murano was peaceful compared to Venice, which we loved. We can't wait to come back here again, wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you to the amazing hosts for your kindness and hospitality :) Do not hesitate to book this place you won't regret it.

Ca' Tintor in Venice was a truly delightful Airbnb stay, perfect for families. The apartment was impeccably clean and incredibly well-organised, boasting all the amenities one could possibly need with kids, from the hob and oven to a dishwasher, washing machine, and a perfectly working air conditioning unit. Its location is fantastic, nestled in a beautiful residential area with easy access to Piazzale Roma and the railway station, making it convenient for exploring with little ones. The host's dedication to preserving Venetian history, as evidenced by the ancient dyer basins found during redecoration, and their commitment to modern comfort and environmental responsibility through the heat pump system, truly stood out. I highly recommend this superb apartment for a wonderful stay in Venice with your family.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön in winem venezianischen Stil eingerichtet. Sehr ruhige Lage, kurz Anbindung an den Anleger und gemütlich. Da wir zu 4. dort waren, musste 2 Personen auf dem Schlafsofa übernachten. Das war leider gar nicht komfortabel. Das Hauptbett hingegen war super. Genauso sollte man wissen, dass es keine „richtigen“Türen in der Wohnung gibt. Auch nicht zum Badezimmer und zur Toilette. Was uns persönlich ein wenig gefehlt hat, war die klassische Bialetti für den Herd. Aber die Cafés sind sehr nah gewesen. Ansonsten ist diese Wohnung super ausgestattet und Giovanna ist sehr zuvorkommend.

My family of four (2 parents, 2 younger teens) had a great stay here. The apt is in a large building that seems like it was once a single home. You enter via a metal gate into a lovely courtyard with chairs where you can sit. We stayed in the 2 BR apartment that is on what seems like the secondi piano (so there are some stairs). The apt looks beautiful (just like the pictures) and was a calm headquarters for us to come home to. There is also a little outdoor terrace that comfortably fits four. It was warmer than expected in Venice during our stay (80 F) but there are fans in the apartment, which really made the heat a non issue for us. We had a few questions during our stay, which the host answered promptly & helpfully. We purposefully stayed in Dorsoduro, which is about 10 - 15 mins walk from the main tourist attractions. The benefit: This area is a bit more quiet and less crowded. And there are still tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and lovely scenery.

Valeria's place was absolutely the best! Apartment was in pristine condition, had everything we needed and very easy to get to and from all over Venice including all major attractions. We loved our stay and cant wait to go back again!

Lovely apartment, well furnished and equipped. Overhead shower head in en-suite not working. Air conditioning in living area only. At night windows had to be open in bedrooms - mosquito repelllant plug-ins provided essential. Very early (05.00hrs) noise from workmen on the canals below. All part of the charm and character of Venice! Would book again and recommend to friends.

Excellent accommodation! Isabella was extremely helpful before our trip promptly providing all the information and assistance we needed. The apartment was lovely and clean. We really loved the location in the Dorsoduro, close to everything but in a quieter area of Venice. The restaurant next door was superb, with a beautiful garden, great food and friendly service. We will definitely stay in Isabella’s AirBnB if our travels bring us to Venice again!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour de trois nuits à Venise dans le logement de Valeria et Matteo. Tout était parfait du début à la fin ! Le logement était impeccable, très propre, bien équipé et idéalement situé pour découvrir la ville. Mais ce qui a vraiment fait la différence, c’est l’accueil de Valeria et Matteo : toujours disponibles, réactifs et d’une grande gentillesse. Ils nous ont donné plein de super conseils pour les restos, les balades, les petits coins à découvrir… On sent qu’ils font tout pour que le séjour se passe au mieux, et ça, c’est vraiment précieux. Un grand merci à eux deux pour leur accueil exceptionnel. On recommande les yeux fermés !

We really enjoyed our stay. Nicole’s place was comfortable, clean and located in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. Nicole was a fantastic host and super helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend this place to all!

Elena’s place was perfect for our stay in Venice. Clear and easy instructions and Elena met us to take us to the apartment. She provided useful history about the apartment which was fascinating. It was an ideal location about 20 min walk to both Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square. Many nearby restaurants, bars and supermarket 2 mins from the property. Although a busy square the apartment was lovely and quiet. Watching the boats pass by along the canal was wonderful. Elena was a perfect host and I would definitely recommend.

We (a family with two teenagers, 13 and 15) loved Laura’s apartment! The beds are all comfortable, there’s all you need in the kitchen (also a dishwasher with tabs), the deco is nice, there’s the luxury of two bathrooms, it was very clean and the location in Dorsoduro, our favorite Venice sestiere, is fantastic - just across a bridge to Campo Santa Margherita but very quiet thanks to the position in a peaceful courtyard. Would love to stay there again!

Had a wonderful stay, was able to walk the city and enjoy everything Venice had to offer. Apartment was clean and bigger than expected.

We booked because another guest's review said "just go for it" and I would offer the same advice to others. We had a great time enjoying coffee & wine on the terrace while watching boat traffic on the Grand Canal. Although there are Vaporetto stops nearby, we walked almost everywhere we went and it was great to explore the neighborhood. For a quiet night in, stop by Fried Land (just around the corner) for excellent take-out pasta.

We had an amazing stay at Giovanni and Susannas apartment. The communication straight from the start was excellent. The instructions were clear and we managed to easily find the apartment and enter easily, even though we got there really late at night. The area is amazing, close enough to all of the must-sees in Venice, but lovely and quiet and feels much more authentic and local. There are fantastic restaurants just around the corner too! Thanks again! We will definitely stay again when we are back in Venice.

Great location and very nice place. Had to climb some stairs but we didn’t mind and that’s Italy! Host deserves more than 5 stars for communication, he was excellent. And he arranged an early 6:30am water taxi and chauffered Mercedes to the airport which was a great way to end our vacation leaving the island in style!
