Family-friendly holiday rentals in Downtown San Jose

Really hard to describe how wonderful the whole back yard is. Sunset here were amazing. All kinds of wildlife. The smell of the California hills in springtime always refreshes. Dogs loved it (and couldn't quite believe it). We swung on the swing, sat in the gazebo, enjoyed basking in the balcony views.

Felt like it was just lke my home accept they have a hot tub that I used almost every night during my stay also had a beautiful garden. Is very quiet and relaxing.

As expected, a gorgeous place. Location is great—right across the Tesla shop, walking distance to everywhere in Santana Row. Highly recommended.

Amazing property & setting, absolutely loved the pool, sport court, etc. Hosts were communicative & easy, will certainly be back for another warm-weather escape.

My family and I spent Christmas and New Year's at Justin's place, enjoying his beautiful decorated tree, thoughtful gifts, and delicious cake from a well known bakery and the stunning views of the mountains and city lights, including a firework show from the city. Justin‘s house is just big enough that we all have our own personal space but cozy enough that as a family we were all together.

During my stay at Joann’s place, I felt safe and very comfortable. The whole home is bright and spotlessly clean, with greenery visible outside the windows. Parking was very convenient, and communication with her was smooth throughout. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing me to cook and enjoy a good glass of red wine. The sofa was cozy and the bed was spacious. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful place—thank you!

Great apartment that is close to the airport and easy to find. Was given great step by step instructions on how to access the apartment. It was actually bigger than I anticipated and quite quiet.

⸻ I had such a wonderful two-week stay at the farm. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly—especially the sweet little black cat named Teva, who wore a green collar and quickly became a favorite companion. Toni was so kind and responsive, always making sure everything was just right. The farm felt very safe and peaceful throughout my stay. Being in a cabin on a farm, a few bugs are to be expected, but it wasn’t an issue—I came prepared with essential oils, which worked well to keep them at bay. The cabin itself is cozy and compact, but the many windows let in so much natural light that it felt bright and open. The shower was great too—good water pressure and ventilation, though it might be a bit snug for some. Overall, it’s a lovely little escape—close enough to San Jose for convenience, but with a feeling of peaceful seclusion that makes it feel like a true retreat.

We stayed here for a month, and it was a great experience overall! What really stood out was Michael’s kindness and attentiveness - he was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. He provided lots of essentials for our toddler and even replaced the shower head, which made a huge difference for our extended stay. He was always quick to respond, sent someone to fix things the same day, and restocked kitchen and bathroom essentials whenever needed. The place is in a quiet, safe neighborhood and was spotless - seriously, one of the cleanest Airbnbs we've stayed in! The kitchen is well-stocked, which was perfect since we cooked a lot. You do hear some noise from upstairs during the day, but they keep quiet at night, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Thanks again, Michael, for making our stay so comfortable!

Very thankful for this quaint experience! The kids loved the toys and the very kind neighbor helped make sure we had chargers for all the electric toys.

Quiet apartment spacious enough for a family of five with three teenagers. Easy to get in and out and convenient parking. The apartment was fully stocked with everything you need. Kim was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Santana Row was decorated beautifully for the holidays, which made a lovely extended stay. Thank you Kim.

This was a perfect place to decompress during a busy work trip. The space is beautiful, and the attached gym is such a nice treat! Everything was exactly as described, clean and lovely. I would definitely stay again!

This place is great. Nice patio area with chairs. Bathroom is spacious with his and hers sinks. Bed is super comfortable, memory foam. Host is super friendly and helpful with whatever you need.

I stayed at Cynthia and Glens place for a 8 days and it was really great. They're very accommodating and have amazing instructions for every step of your stay. One aspect that was a bit unfortunate is just that dogs can't relive themselves in the backyard. It was a bit complicated taking both of my dogs across the street to go potty every morning and midday especially when the temperatures got really high and concerning to walk them. However, I do completely understand their reasoning as to why they'd rather not have dogs relieving themselves in their backyard. Other than that small aspect it was a really lovely home and awesome location. It is a shared unit so parking is shared and the communal areas are as well. Something else to keep in mind! Overall I had a great stay there in Campbell which was so close to downtown and many amazing restaurants.

My stay in Amy's home was relaxing, peaceful and comfortable. I loved the location - nested against the hills and so close to shops/restaurants. I loved walking the hills in the neighborhood and coming back to a quiet and comfortable space. You are in the backyard of the owners but they are friendly and respectful and the setting is idyllic.

We stayed at Sara's while visiting family nearby, but her home felt like a vacation in itself. The backyard is magical - we spent a fair amount of time there, swimming, grilling/dining, reading/napping. The backyard (and its myriad diversions) even lured our tech-obsessed teenagers away from their devices for extended periods. Everything was well maintained, no detail overlooked. We also enjoyed the access to a peloton bike and workout equipment. The interior was clean, organized, stylish but comfortable. The sunroom and small courtyard off of the bedrooms were great for yoga or stealing a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or book. Sara was responsive and attentive. Instruction booklet was clear and helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations. We hope to be back.

it's a wonderful house and the location is great too! walk to shops, parks, playground....etc also they provided lots of toys and kid books, my kids were so happy stay in there. Walter was really helpful and easy to communicate with.

This place is a true gem! The expansive property is beautifully manicured, peaceful, and feels like a private oasis. We spent our days exploring the downtown, soaking in the hot tub, and enjoying the many well-kept outdoor spaces. Everything was immaculately maintained and thoughtfully designed for relaxation. Inside, the house was just as comfortable. The beds were so cozy! The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals and there’s a BBQ by the pool. One thing that really stood out was the water. The house filtration system they have makes it taste incredibly clean and fresh—probably the best-tasting water we’ve ever had. The hosts were wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and really respectful of our privacy. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of our next stay. Highly, highly recommend!

We had a great time here. Agree with a lot of the other reviews. Super easy check in with door codes. Parking is $20 each 24 hours, I think first 2 hours are free. Easy electric charging with PowerFlex including what looked like fast chargers. The train blows its horn a little bit when coming by the apartment, but with our earplugs in at night we slept great. The Airbnb provides a pair of earplugs for free. The studio bedroom has sliding doors that were basically like blackout curtains. We had trouble locking the back balcony door but reached someone by phone within minutes and they walked us through how to lock it. Keurig with coffee pods provided. Tons of restaurants and a Walgreens within walking distance. Stanford short drive away. Amenities are great, accessible with a key card. Highly recommend this place. Better option than local hotels for the same price. One of the most beautiful luxury apartment buildings I’ve seen.

A perfect stay for professionals. Vara’s place is cozy, peaceful, and tucked away in the beautiful Los Altos Hills - far from the noise yet still conveniently located. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the quiet surroundings and fresh air was a great way to start the day. Vara was a wonderful host, responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat!
