It is close to cross-country trails, alpine slopes such as Grövelfjäll (within a few kilometers) and Idre fjäll (3.5 miles), snowmobile trails and mountain hiking. A small grocery store is located in Storsätern, about 6 km away.

Koselig familievennlig hytte på Hovden hyttefelt i Engerdal med utsikt mot sølenfjellene. Hytta har stor inngjerdet terrasse med hagemøbler, markise og gassgrill i tillegg til grillplass med benker og bålpanne på oversiden av hytta. Leies ut til voksne leietakere gjerne barnefamilier. Hunder tillat om det vaskes og støvsuges godt ved avreise. Sluttrengjøring kan bestilles for 1800. Maks 8 voksne og 3 barn i overkøye om ikke annet avtales med utleier.
