Guests who stay here can take a 30 minute drive to St. Mary for access to Glacier National Park or a 5 minute drive to Browning. Getting Around: The best way to get around is by car and using accurate maps. There is no cell phone service in the park so it is essential to understand directions.

We are in the foothills of the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains with easy access to trails and public lands. Hiking and biking on the world class Whitefish Trail is just up the road. The many lakes close by offer fishing, kayak/canoeing and swimming. Our internet is SLOW and not always reliable.

Welcome to Stoney Lonesome Retreat. Why Stoney Lonesome? Not entirely sure, you can blame it on my great grandfather, old Fredrick Richard August Christian Uhde. He named the property back in 1972 and the name has stuck!!! My parents Elward and Susan purchased our property in the summer of 1969 for $500 and we have been here ever since. My brother and I were raised here and now my wife Gretchen and I are so proud to be raising our son Simon here. The third generation on this land.

Last Minute Plan To Glacier Guest cabin

It's a beautiful cabin, the owner built it by himself.Sauna building that has full bathroom and shower is a separate building. The bathroom is not with the bedroom. The cabin is close to main road and the train tracks. If you are a light sleeper don't book. It's a perfect location for both exploring East and West Glacier. There is Wi-Fi.The cabin provides the basic needs for the guests. There is a fire pit, the fire must be monitored all the time and put down completely.

It has a full kitchen and can sleep up to 4 people with a queen bed and a full size futon (both located in the living area). Relax in the yard and enjoy the beautiful Mountain view.

New apartment in daylight basement. Large lawn area, secluded in trees. Just two miles to the town of Whitefish, and 8 to the Whitefish Mountain Resort, 25 and you are at the west gate of Glacier National Park. Hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, floating, swimming, boating, relaxing, and of course the crown of the continent Glacier National Park. This is a wonderful area of the planet, come explore and enjoy Montana at it's finest in our happy, comfortable, homestead.
