We had a wonderful stay at Dashwood. It is a beautiful, luxury house with everything we needed and we felt very comfortable and relaxed there. Michelle was a great host, leaving us cake and wine and coming to check on us the first evening. We felt very welcome. The property is so convenient, we were easily able to get the bus into York from the main road. Such a great location and beautiful property. Hope to be back!

Richard was a fantastic host for our Easter family holiday. Beautiful cottage, stunning surroundings and immaculate, one of the best AirBnB places we’ve stayed and would highly recommend to anyone looking for an escape to the country. Local pub was fab and very friendly for our 6 year old.

Great place and location. fantastic views and accommodation. There was 6 of us plus 2 small dogs which the house and garden was more than accommodating and didn't feel on top of each other.Andrea was always there to help and inform of what is happening in the area.

Very nice, clean and cosy place.. inside the cottage very clean and you will find all you need.. Lack of walkways around was the only concern and a bit to close to the main road. Other then that all perfect

myself and my family stayed here for my dad's 66th birthday the place was so easy to find with the instructions we had before hand . upon arrival was greeted with choc brownies in the kitchen which were absolutely delicious the place was spotlessly clean and smelt gorgeous everywhere.There was absolutely everything you need in the cottage a real home from home delight .There were enough beds to sleep all 8 of us it was superb and very well looked after .

We had a wonderful stay here with our family. Beautiful property in a lovely, quiet location with stunning views. The house is very spacious, well equipped & ideal for our party of 10. We enjoyed a walk in the grounds of Castle Howard (just a short drive away), exploring the local villages & rounded our trip off with Sunday lunch at the pub in Welburn; recommended by our hosts Ben & Victoria. We would highly recommend this property & would definitely return.

We booked rather last minute and Maria was very responsive and flexible. The place was pristine and very comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped and the furnishings throughout are great! We felt very much at home! Maria was warm and welcoming and gave us good ideas for where to eat. We truly loved our stay!

This place was absolutely fabulous! The only downside was that we didn’t get to spend much time in the lodge and its beautiful surroundings as we were visiting family in the local area. We definitely want to come back and enjoy the accommodation and its setting. Could quite happily spend a few days doing absolutely nothing as everything that you needed was available! Would highly recommend as there are so many other places within easy distance to enjoy.

Lovely place to stay, the house is big and well decorated with a large living room with a wood-burning stove. The garden is nice and peaceful with a few friendly peacocks dropping in from time to time to say hello. The house is very well located and at the same time in a quiet environment. We received lots of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. I highly recommend it :)

The Old Parlour has been beautifully converted with lovely kitchen and bedrooms. The outdoor space is secure and peaceful. Wood fired hot tub was great touch.

Great place to stay. It was really clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Very private, with amazing views. We will definitely be booking here again as it was perfect for what we needed. I highly recommend this property.

Lovely cottage for 2. Well stocked kitchen and a lovely welcome hamper to get started. Felt really secure. The hot tub was marvellous and great after a day out. Nice little patio to sit out on for breakfast. Nearest village is about 30 minutes walk away or 5 minute drive with plenty of nice pubs. Good location for exploring North Yorkshire and managed to get taxis to and from York if you’re willing to pay about £27. Plenty of parking. Had no issues whilst there so didn’t have to contact Becky for anything. Really good information sent prior to going so knew exactly what to do when we got there. Becky wasn’t in but responded immediately when I phoned her and explained how to get in to the farm grounds. Bed was really comfortable. Only downside was the road noise at night when in bed, would recommend taking ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Would recommend Becky’s place for a romantic getaway.

Lovely little place for our mini getaway. Set in gorgeous and private location, we even had the pleasure of seeing deer, rabbits, ducks and the farm dogs during our stay. The toilet was a little different than we are use to but did not impact our stay. Would recommend.

Cuthbert’s Cottage was beautiful, clean and peaceful. The interior / decor was beautiful. Jane was a fantastic host who was extremely helpful. She even came to my safety-pin rescue when I forgot the one I needed for my wedding guest outfit. Would highly recommend staying here.

Louise’s lodge is absolutely beautiful and in a very peaceful location. The rooms were absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub is a lovely addition and the fact that it is in the back garden for privacy made it even better. The location of the accommodation is fantastic, around a 30 minute drive to York city centre and also has great bus links to both York and the nearby town of Pocklington. Thank you Louise, we will definitely come back to your lovely lodge!

This cottage fully deserves a 5 star rating and is very well equipped. It was warm, comfortable and clean The location is beautiful. We will definitely re book.

The Spinney is a cosy comfortable cottage and is well equipped. The location is in beautiful countryside and ideal for a peaceful relaxing getaway. Micheal is a lovely Host and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always interested in our adventures. Both he and Caroline were so friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to stay.

We have had a fabulous stay at this gorgeous house (family of 7 with a 1 year old). Liz was an excellent host, so responsive and friendly. The house was spotless and had everything we could need. Beautiful rooms & bathrooms and a lovely garden with a hot tub, which was perfect for star gazing. Beverley is only a 10 minute drive away with lots of shops, pubs & restaurants. Had a lovely comfortable stay, house was homely, beautiful peaceful and private location. Enjoyed the hot tub.

I've just got back from a stay over the bank holiday weekend and we have all had the absolute best time. We were there for a hen weekend and everything ran so smoothly. Jemma was super helpful when I needed to organise a food shop delivery and Simon and Andy were absolute superstars! We had been trying to organise taxis to take us to a pub on the Sunday but had no luck so Simon and Andy went out of their way to take us themselves. We went to the Drovers Arms in Skipworth and I highly recommend! Food was unreal there! We knew we were a bit out of the way to York but this place was perfect as a base for the 10 of us. We'd already arranged a party bus into York for the Saturday but getting a taxi back was no problem at all. The house was so so lovely too. We don't think the pictures do it justice in terms of space and things! We had plenty of room and the hottub was a great addition to have too. We had a fab time and would absolutely book to stay there again.

Semi-rural. No pub or shops near the village where the accommodation is - but within 10 minutes drive of Selby and York Outlet . Long country road to the house but adds to the journey - lovely drive through some woods and fields. Quiet. Judy is very helpful, funny and a warm friendly person. If you need advice on local area she is very approachable.

Delightful cottage in a very peaceful location. The living room is very light and spacious and the outside seating area is a bonus. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The location was ideal for exploring the Yorkshire coast and the Wolds including attractions like Sledmere House and the Yorkshire Arboretum. There are no shops or pubs in Foxholes but that did not affect our stay, supermarkets deliver to the address and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants within a short drive. Perfect place to relax.

Gorgeous cottage in a lovely location, perfect for walks. Great local pub, and easy driving distance from plenty of attractions and areas of interest. The cottage was immaculately clean, easy to find, and set in a lovely spot next to the village church. Would highly recommend - we hope to return soon!
