Holiday rentals with breakfast in Eastern Shore of Virginia

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Colonial Beach! Ken was incredibly communicative and honest from the start, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The place was fairly priced, clean, and welcoming..but it was the personal touches that really stood out. Ken left a thoughtful note welcoming our family and even included some small items for our kids, which meant a lot to us. It’s clear they care about their guests and go the extra mile to make the stay special. "The Mad Men Beach House" was a great place for my family (2 adults/2 toddlers) to stay. There was enough room for us all to have our own beds (or cribs in the case of our two year olds) and our own bathrooms (two full baths). We used the grill once, which was nice, and used the kitchen a handful of times throughout our week long stay. Everything in the house was well taken care of and as clean as you would expect, considering Rebecca allows dogs in the beach house. Our dog was comfortable in the house with plenty of room to lay around. He especially enjoyed laying around on the covered porch next to the water. That's probably the best feature of the house itself - it is in a community where every home has a dock right next to the Bay. You are a little far away from the big part of the Bay (if you're kayaking), but the inlet gets much bigger as you kayak out and there's plenty of room to float around and enjoy the sun. We were visited by a mother duck and her five ducklings, and some cool looking horseshoe crabs. The place is only a few minutes drive from the beach/oceanfront. If you have kids, I would not plan on walking to the beach unless you have a wagon or something like that. Too much lugging of stuff and humans for being almost a mile from front door to toes in the sand. However, we never had a problem finding parking on 130th/129th right next to the beach, for free. The amenities are nice - big pool and a kiddie pool, and some other stuff we didn't have time to check out. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including places for breakfast (Uber Bagels was pretty good) and dessert (Justine's Ice Cream and Dumsers are closeby, but Venderweres, I think, is only a few minutes drive to Fenwick Island and it was the best ice cream of the trip). If you want to hit the boardwalk, Fish Tales, Seacrets, etc., it isn't that far. You can get just about anywhere in Ocean City from this place in 15-20 minutes. Overall, we had a great time and we would definitely stay again!

Peggy's home is open with a wonderful floor plan. Everything was convenient; such as, having coffee onsite, access to appliances, linens, and personal supplies. It is beautiful inside. We had no complaints.

We had a great stay! The house was spacious enough for our big family, and the area was very nice with a great grocery store nearby. There were plenty of parking spaces, and the owner was friendly and welcoming. I would love to stay here again next time and highly recommend it to anyone traveling with a large family.

Fantastic property in the private Bay Creek community that I have to come to love as one my favorite vacation destinations. A treasure of a home that made my annual New Year's vacation getaway another memorable one.

We had the most amazing stay at Donna’s house! The place was spotless, super cozy, and so stylish, with plenty of room for everyone to kick back and relax. The quiet neighborhood made it the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. We absolutely loved hanging out on the outdoor decks, soaking up the views, and enjoying our morning coffee while watching the gorgeous sunrises over the canal. The screened porch was perfect for unwinding and catching the sunset. The beach was only a short distance away, and the kayaks and SUPs were such a fun way to explore the bay. Donna was an incredible host—always responsive and so helpful throughout our stay. We seriously can’t recommend her beach house enough!

Really enjoyed staying here! Easy to find, walkable to the beach and surrounding shops, clean, and we loved the breakfast provided by the local bakery!

Jacqueline's place is amazing! It is close to the sea and you can take a walk to enjoy the beautify view. I booked this for my uncles from China to attend my wedding and Jacqueline made us feel welcomed and gave us a tour for the place. The place has everything we need and is sparklingly clean. The host is easy to reach and always respond to our question in seconds. Highly recommend this place if you want something affordable and nice in the area.

Wonderful abnb in the heart of King George. Pam has been great with communication and understanding during a stay with my two younger children. This place beats staying at a hotel and I Would love to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Jordon and the apt were phenomenal. Had everything I needed and more available. Parking turned out to be easier than I thought. This place forms more at home than my own. I highly recommend this spot to anyone. Didn’t want to leave but had too. Great job on the decor too.

John's place is so lovely in a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood, easy to find and park, just 6 minutes to the Metro and train station by driving, 12-15 minutes to water front and King Street with bunch of restaurants. The bed is super comfortable, and all kinds of snack food in the room. The sweetest part is the peeled and sliced fruit in the refrig…John and Rick are very kind, we must choose here again and strongly recommend to those visit Alexandria.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast in Colonial Williamsburg. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The rest of the house was just as lovely—warm, welcoming, and tastefully furnished, with a cozy outdoor space perfect for relaxing. The innkeeper was so kind and hospitable, and the breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious—clearly made with care and attention to detail. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. It’s a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and hospitality.

I stayed at Mark’s place while visiting my daughter, who’s in the Navy, and it was the perfect spot for some peaceful downtime. Even though it’s a shared home, the bedroom and bathroom felt very private and exceptionally clean. I was comfortable the entire time and slept well. The house itself is like walking into an art installation—colorful, unexpected, and full of personality. You never quite know what light or feature will come to life next, which made it fun and memorable. Both hosts are clearly creative souls with a flair for design. The backyard was my favorite part—lush with plants, fountains, and statues, all backing up to the Chesapeake waters. At night, it turns into a magical light show with just the sounds of nature and water features. So peaceful and calming. They even had a little breakfast area set up with bakery items and coffee—such a thoughtful touch. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind and restful experience.

We've had a great time. The place has a wonderful location and we've had a great time in our (brief) stay. We hope to get there for a longer visit someday soon.

I definitely recommend this charming B&B! Our room was surprisingly spacious, and the breakfast has just the right amount of variety. If you want a spot with built in options for relaxation, this is a good choice. The pool, lounge, dog run, and outdoor area are well kept. Beach towns are often hard to navigate with a dog, so it was nice to stay somewhere that welcomed our pup and provided dog-friendly recs. That being said, keep in mind that Henlopen State Park is known to be crawling with ticks. This is one of the spots they recommended and it was stressful to learn this by finding our dog crawling with nymphs. We anxiously informed them, worried about stray ticks in our room, only to realize they were unconcerned because they themselves often frequent those same exact trails. It was a comforting response in a way, but I definitely would have preferred a heads up since I’ve only ever known how to deal with ticks in theory. The beaches there were beautiful tho, and entry is cheap!

Total hidden gem! Commutation with Jacob was spot on and he was also available by phone when I had a question on how to turn on the shower. All photos are accurate. Room was ready far before my check in and automated instruction was clear. Room was clean and simple. Perfect for a short weekend get away! 10/10 ⭐️
